KAYAK
Staff left and closed office despite having my planned arrival in the system. Customer service refused to do anything. Ended up paying for taxi and Hotel myself. No posted number to call for late arrivals, service. Used Enterprise Rental the next day and they treated me like a human who matters. Cannot recommend Enterprise Rental more.

Pros:

I was never informed that the drop off in Mooresville was during business hours so I had to travel 20+ miles to find the office was closed. Very inconvenient that I had to return the next day.

Cons:

Being notified that Mooresville office was closed with no after hour drop off. Plattsburgh pick up was excellent.

KAYAK
This was the worst car rental experience we've ever had. Cars were not available at planned pick up time. Long line of agitated customers and basically no one at the counter to help. Counter help was outside cleaning cars. That is a completely messed up system having counter help be responsible for cleaning cars. I will not use Avis again at this location or other locations based on this worst-case experience.

The car smelled of smoke, was an older car (2019) and had a big dent in the rear side of the car.
