I stayed at NW for two weeks in total. Staff was very friendly and attentive to the cleanliness of the place which had a cozy atmosphere in general.
I stayed in a capsule room for 3 days and this capsule has serious problems when you are trying to get into it. It has a large support bar in the middle which makes the space even smaller. I realized that the condition of other capsules are far better than the one I stayed in, I ended up switching to a bunker room with many people instead. The ladder I had to climb to access the capsule was also not comfortable and gave me a scar.
Staff is friendly and continuously inspect the well being of the property. Very central location at the tip of Vasilievsky Island! Beds have a very thin but very comfortable mattress, at least for me!
Sometimes you have to wait long for the bathroom.
I liked it being just over the bridge from the centre.
Hated the fact it was so hard to find at first, right left right left and turns out other way.
Nice decoration and helpful stuff
Beds are not comfortable and fridgeder is not enough
Staff was very friendly and pleasant, so I felt there like at home or with old friends. Breakfasts were made of semimanufactures, however, they were cheap. I lived in a capsule room, and at first I was very surprised by its too small size (when I was sitting, I could touch the ceiling) and by the way to get there (by ladder). By then I get used to it, everything was ok, there was a ventilation system there, sleep was quiet, convenient and excellent. But don't expect you can live there with a huge suitcase:) There were two bathrooms, and when one of them was occupied, someone could go to another one.
I don't know. Of course, everyone loves a lot of comfort, big rooms, individual toilet and bathroom and so on. However, it was a hostel; it was presumably known, what to expect. Prices complied the quality.
A stay at NW Hostel places you in the heart of St. Petersburg, within a 5-minute drive of Rostral Columns and Peter and Paul Fortress. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and a library. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available on request).
