Pros: The staff was OK, but not extremely friendly.
Cons: The pool was gross algae green and he did not fix by the next day as the owner said he would, and I wanted to use ice ONE TIME for small cooler (there were about 5 other cars in the entire place) and he said no ice, you people with coolers take it all. Towels were scratchy. Not extremely clean, it was dusty.
Mediocre2.0
Pros: It was close to a better hotel.
Cons: My wife and I, along with another couple, booked two rooms at the G.G.T. Tibet five months ago. The location was convenient for the bicycle tour operators to pick up all our luggage the next morning for the start of the tour. The owner cancelled our reservation while we were midflight to Burlington. He claimed there was a problem with our credit card. I got this message and called during our layover. We felt quite panicked, because we knew it would be hard to find another room last minute during this busy time of year. We attempted to explain to the person who answered the phone that we really needed and wanted the room, and could we please give him our credit card number again. The person was abrupt, belligerent, and immediately accused us of trying to rip him off. He said our only option was to go online and rebook the room (at more than twice the price). Our friends called to request changing their room from a king to two double beds. The owner told them that they did not have any other rooms available and they could not change. I went online to book another room, because we had few options, and the only room they had was one with two double beds. He was clearly lying to our friends. When we arrived, my friend and I were outside organizing all of our stuff while our wives were attempting to check in. Picture this a retired school teacher and a cute little blind woman standing there with her cane. We are all 53 to 63 y.o. parents, grandparents, tandem bicycle riders, not your typical party hooligans. He informed us that he had once again canceled our reservation even though the card was valid. When asked why, he flew in to a raging monolog which consisted of swearing and false accusations of us being bad people who take advantage of other people and he said he was afraid we would damage his property. He screamed at us to get off his property and even as we were leaving, ran out after us very aggressively, still yelling. We were completely slack jawed and it took several days to wrap our heads around what happened. Our bikes were still packed in pieces in cases so we had to walk several blocks to stay at the only other room we could find, dragging along a ton of luggage and my wife following along with her cane. This is a week later and my stomach is still in knots typing this.
Mediocre2.5
Cons: Did not have access to my own room key and the room was extremely small. The window was open in the room and was really hot when I arrived. Did not have access to an AC. Would not recommend

Pros: Nothing, because I never went.
Cons: I thought I had made a reservation for Saturday night; on Friday night the motel called and asked if I was going to keep my reservation! I looked, and sure enough, according to the computer receipt I was supposed to be there on Friday night. I needed Saturday night because I had to be in Vergennes, 20 miles away (but 70 miles from my home) at 8 am on Sunday. The motel refused to return my $153 or change the reservation to Saturday, and Expedia couldn't persuade them. So in the end I had to get up at 5 am on Sunday and drive the first thirty miles in darkness and fog; my net earnings for the day, after deducting the cost of gas and a motel room I didn't use, was $40. The first error was with the reservation system, but I deeply resent the refusal of North Star to be even slightly flexible.
Located in the heart of South Burlington, this motel is within 1 mi (2 km) of University Mall and University of Vermont. Lake Champlain and Church Street Marketplace are also within 3 miles (5 km).

Pros: GOOD LOCATION CONVENIENT TO CAMPUS AT A GOOD VALUE
Cons: VERY BASIC. NOT A PLACE TO BRING A DATE AS NO ATMOSPHERE. MOTEL 6ish.
Excellent9.4
Pros: Nice comfortable room for a very fair price, the breakfast was not very good at all, however with the money we saved on the hotel going out to eat at the many fine restaurants in Burlington was just fine
Excellent8.0
Pros: The hotel is a budget hotel but it is located in an excellent location near malls and restaurants.
Good6.2
Pros: The woman at the front desk was pleasant. The self serve breakfast was fine with fruit, yogurt and coffee.
Cons: I was not comfortable with the rug. May have kicked up some allergies. Was glad I brought my own cleanable slippers.
Mediocre3.1
Pros: I loved how close it was to the University mall
Cons: The entire stay was awful. First room we were given was messy and obviously wasn’t cleaned. The pool was only open for a few hours. There was a creepy guy (I’m guessing the owner) always hovering around the coffee, which had grounds in it each times we went to get coffee. Just all around unpleasant, which sucks our first time we went we absolutely loved our stay. We’ve gone twice since then and each time it’s been worse.
Good6.5
Pros: friendly helpful staff
Cons: Air conditioner not able to cool room. Room smelled of cleaning chemicals.
Excellent8.0
Pros: We stayed in Anchorage Inn for only one night. It was clean and stuff was very nice and helpful with anything we needed/asked. We really enjoyed the hot tub and pool, we got all the instructions about pool hours during check-in. You can see that the room need some update, furniture is not new, but everything was clean and we had all we needed for our one night stay.
Cons: We paid for room with refrigerator and microwave but first we were given a room on the lowest floor with non of those and with lock that didn't work. We went back to the front desk and immediately got another room that was exactly what we paid for, the stuff was very nice. The new room was on 2nd floor and looked much better and newer than the first one. It is sad that first they try to give you the worst option possible and only if you complain you get something better. Even though you specifically paid for the better room.
Okay4.8
Pros: Great location, friendly staff, great price for expensive town
Cons: Old. Clean, but old. Room smelled like deodorizer, but the windows open. Shower had adhesive all over the bottom of it. Check in isn't until 4p.
Good6.2
Pros: Great location
Cons: Breakfast was terrible and the bed was hard as a rock.
Okay4.2
Pros: location/ easy check in/out The coffee was fresh in the morning.
Cons: The hallway was filthy, my room was a hair cleaner then hallway which is not saying much. Carpets not vacuumed and under the bed awful..candy wrappers, hair etc so my allergies kicked in. Window in room was broken. The shower head dripped constantly. The toilet seat was broken. The refuse can by the soda machine and ice maker was over flowing garbage onto the floor. The cleaning crew was there upon my arrival so I was suprised they didn't take care of this.I asked them to open another room so I could check smokiness. Obviously my original room had smokers in it and it reeked. It seemed that there were people living there long term as they were coming and going with large amounts of groceries etc. I hope they straighten things out because location is good but I will not be staying there any time soon.
Excellent10.0
Pros: I loved everything about this motel. It was quiet and comfortable. The room was clean. The bed was soft, yet firm; unlike a lot of motels beds that feel like you are laying on concrete. The towels were soft and thick. The grounds were litter free and manicured. The staff was friendly and helpful. If I ever get to Vermont again I will definitely stay in this motel.
Cons: There was not one thing I disliked about this motel.
Good6.5
Pros: room cleaner did a nice job; hot tub
Cons: furniture in room sub-par; bathroom extremely small; tub did not drain; pillows uncomfortable
