Novotel Phu Quoc Resort - Phu Quoc - Building

8.6 Excellent (7,215 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Set on one of the island's most well-known beaches, Truong Beach, the 5-star Novotel Phu Quoc Resort offers a spectacular beachfront location. Our resort boasts a variety of luxurious room types and bungalows with private pools. It also features restaurants, bars, swimming pools, spas, kids clubs, tennis courts and meeting facilities. The resort is an idyllic setting for family gatherings, couples, intrepid travellers, weddings and corporate events.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: the villa is clean and new, very spacious several swimming pools, close to beach the spa is great
Cons: the buggy service has to wait for 20-30 mins staff can be more polite only 100USD currency exchange per room per day, but we have 4 people in one room the restaurants of the resort aren't that good, not much choices, tasted fair the double bed is put together by two twin beds only
7.0 Good
Pros: The villas are great with a private pool - very clean and comfortable, suitable for family stay / group of friends. There is a beachside near the resort within short walking distance from the villas.
Cons: Had difficulty booking the taxis due to high demand during TET (Chinese New Year celebrations). Disappointing service from the staff at reception on our departure day. At the night before our departure, we have asked the receptionist to prebook a 7-seater taxi to airport at 5.30am. On our departure day, we arrived at the lobby earlier at 5am to proceed checkout and confirmed our taxi with the receptionist who called their local taxi company accordingly. At 5.30am, we didn't see any taxi coming and the receptionist told me THERE ARE NO TAXI FOR US CAUSE ITS FULL. I was utterly shocked and the receptionist didn't seem helpful to get us another taxi. Till I stressed the urgency to catch our flight at 7ish, he got us two 4-seater taxis instead which cause us to incur more costs. This is rather ridiculous cause we were only informed at the last minute that there are no available taxi despite the assurance given by the hotel on the pre-booked taxi.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We got a free upgrade to the beach view which was really nice. Staff are very nice too, housekeeping do a great job at refreshing your room. Buffet breakfast is decent. Beach is a 1-2 minute walk from the hotel. The hotel has several pools for adults and one that is kid friendly
Cons: Hotel keeping was great when the rooms would be refreshed however Sometimes you would ring the bell for them to come and come back and it wouldn’t be clean yet (the hotel resort is pretty big and has rooms scattered throughout the property, not just the hotel). This DID NOT fuss us though as we aren’t picky people however it MAY BE an issue to others
5.8 Okay
Pros: Not really much
9.0 Excellent
Pros: beach, pool, breakfast, weather
Cons: all was fine

6.0 Good
Pros: Food was nice and could visit/ enjoy safari, vinpearlland easily.
Cons: The supervisor in nemo restaurant was rude and asked me if I came for the breakfast second time in this morning! She totally ruined my day! If she thinks I am suspicious, then she needs to check the entrance system internally first before she ask me! How unprofessional she was! Cannot believe she is supervisor in vinpearl resort. I complained this at my check out to the manager at the front desk. He handled this professionally, and tried to make my feeling better! I thank him for the caring attitude! The female supervisor who was working around 9:30ish on 23rd Jan, ruined my day and I have to share my experience on Korean SNS to prevent other korean travelers not to get this kind of bad experience!
7.0 Good
Pros: Very comfortable room and great facilities. Good selection of food. Nice pool and beach.
Cons: The hotel is so bad for the environment. A lot of unnecessary single-use bottles, no water dispensers and only give you small water bottles each time. No recycling bins. Constantly putting paper under the door with messages. Most staff are nice. One in the bar by the beach was very loud and extremely rude to us.
6.0 Good
Pros: The rooms and bathrooms are huge and nicely decorated. Pool area is super nice. Reception staff are very friendly. It's a nice place, but needs to make strides towards being more sustainable.
Cons: A hotel of this size can make a difference to the environment, but this one is full of plastic and has no obvious recycling facilities or eco policy. The only water available was in small plastic bottles that were subsequently thrown away in their thousands. There were eight small plastic bottles in the bathroom every day. We visited the nearby beaches and they were full of plastic, which is indicative of the attitude.
7.9 Good
Pros: The resort is very clean and well kept. The pool and the gym are amazing. The free tennis is a major plus. Going around the area is made very easy with the tuk tuk service and also the complimentary bus to the night market everyday at 15 and 17 is great! The rooms are wonderful and the bed is super cozy!
Cons: The buffet that is included in the all inclusive is not good. I would not suggest taking the all inclusive package except that due to the location of the resort far from any other restaurants or towns it is the only option.
7.0 Good
Pros: Quiet location good for relaxing
Cons: We ordered a double bed instead it was two single beds put together with a blanket used as a bed cover...! It was very far from the town and airport. It would have been great if there was a shuttle bus that takes and brings you from town even if you had to pay for it. The food was not great - room service is better value for money.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Pleasant surrounding with decent facilities
Cons: Staff were very polite but not co operative with our requests for vegetarian food requests
6.7 Good
Pros: Close to the land and safari. We’ll schedule for shuttle bus between the locations.
Cons: I’ve dropped mail to consult the airport pickup but didn’t get respond for over 1 month. Then I called the hotel to let them know my flight but was told to write mail again. But when I arrived the airport, there is still no reservation for me. And I was told to wait for another 30 min. The arrangement really need improvement. Also, when I arrive the hotel finally, it takes around 20 min to keep me waiting after getting my passport. And in the meantime, they are dealing cases with other customers. And told me that they cannot find my reservation. When I showed my booking record, they found it immediately. It was really disappointing before arriving the villa.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing staff, facilities and great swimming pool to relax.Safari is worth a visit.
Cons: We wish more vegetarian options for breakfast were available.

9.7 Excellent
Cons: Fantastic food and service. I couldn't fault this hotel. Brilliant kids club for the kids
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous Breakfast, lovely setting overlooking the pool and sea, huge variety with not the same bakery selection day after day. Kayaks and pool tables etc to amuse ourselves. Live music in the evening. DJ at the SKy360! Mia at The Sora and Umi resturant was lovely in explaining the dishes on the Menu and making suggestions that were perfect and looking after the one vegetarian member in the group. She also guided us on where to procure some local produce that our family found delicious.
Cons: No water provided by the poolside or beach unless you buy. Could do better to look after guests by the pool and beach. Also, the room service could do better to vacuum the sand from the rooms. The beds were not very comfy, a bit saggy/hard.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This is a hotel where you come to relax for 100% and not be bothered by anything. Amazing, a bit expensive for me, stayed a day to experience and definitely would recommend for a person who can pay the stay with ease. Just amazing
Cons: The location is a bit far from the night market and the city, but it might be good for some other people.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful scenery. Accommodating staff. Food was fresh. Clean pools. Room was nicely decorated and clean. Quiet and relaxing, worth the money to spend a weekend here. We celebrated our one year anniversary and was given free cake, which was a nice touch.
Cons: Beach was nice but somewhat dirty, if you walk along the shore you will definitely see trash. I did not expect to see that at a 5 star resort. Actually saw some black/reddish water running from a stream into the ocean at the rock barrier. Wish I didn't have to see that. Food was not as good for my taste, but that's subjective.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: FAB! Everything was gorgeous. One of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in. Staff are very friendly. The hotel itself is a bit removed from the town but that didn't bother us. The room was stunning. The sun-loungers were so comfortable.
Cons: Food and drink is expensive, but in line with other 5 stars in Vietnam, so we expected it to be.

Pros: Pool area, food, breakfast, free shuttle bus to the airport
Cons: Service, not even the manager seems to be nice
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel. Great food. Ate exclusively at the hotel. All meals were excellent. Helpful staff. Yes - II'd stay there again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: An amazing hotel from arriving to leaving . 5 star without a doubt . Everything just perfect
Cons: The restaurants were very pricey, If they lowered the prices , The guest would eat there more .
9.7 Excellent
Pros: the most beautiful resort in phu quoc
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location just ten minutes from the airport situated on the very long white sand of stretch of Long Beach. Rooms were modern and comfortable, stylish. The food really exceeded our expectations. The breakfast spread had a large variety of Western and Vietnamese, many healthy options and all very fresh. We ate at the Vietnamese and Indian restaurants and both were excellent and relatively good value for eating on property at a resort. Staff were helpful, and kind. Gave me basic first aid when I cut my hand. Upgraded our room to a villa as it was my husband's birthday. Little turn down touches also appreciated.
Cons: Villa is overall very comfortable and worth the upgrade however, the layout of the attached sitting room in the villa was not so comfortable so did not use it as much as we might. Could do a better job of communicating all that is available for guests - eg. bikes - and a proper concierge if people want to book outside activities.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful and spacious rooms, well decorated. Attached Spa is well priced and executed. Pools and food service at the pool (including kid area) is very good. Kid’s club is great and available all day. Private beach. Breakfast has great selections. Italian and Indian restaurants are top quality. Complimentary airport pick up (15 min away). Live music at the bar.
Cons: Staff level of English is frustrating. For such international resort. I’d end up speaking with 3 different people before someone finally understood the request. WiFi is too slow - not acceptable at this level. They lost one of our luggage at the airport but then were able to retrieve it.

3.7 Mediocre
Pros: A lot of flora, big rooms, nice beach, good breakfast.
Cons: Lots of problems in the room (we rented a Villa) - 3 times the electricity went out, clogged toilet, and one time the shower stopped working. Poor maintenence, and the staff alnost did not understand english. Overall - a disapointement.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great price performance!
Cons: Room fantastic! Sea view .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: - friendly and helpful staff - nice beachfront +night music - great food + authentic taste. - clean pool - room in real life is very close to the photos on booking, so you get what you see.
Cons: - a bit far from Duong Dong. For people that like nightlife like me it is quite boring at night time
7.9 Good
Pros: The beachside and pool were great. The sunset was amazing and the drinks at happy hour really made me happy.
Cons: The entrance was under construction unfortunately but that only bothers you in the beginning when you get there. There were ants in the bungalow rooms which were nested in the bath area so hopefully that can properly be extinguished(they only used a bug spray during my stay).

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast is very good with plenty of food choice. Changes of food items for different days which is better.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: So, I had booked this hotel without reading the reviews. But 2 days before my trip, I decided I should read the reviews. I'm glad I did because it lowered my expectations. Also, the hotel DOES mess with your AC. After a certain amount of time that it's been on, it will get considerably warmer in the room and the AC power light is flashing. I've only fixed it by turning it off, waiting a bit, then turning it back on. Yes, the food is westernized but I like it so I'm not going to complain too much about that. The deposit on the hotel room AFTER you've already paid for the room is quite large and scary. Glad my friend warned me about that before I came. Other than that, I like it so far.
Cons: Yes, the hotel has a problem not policing the "reserved with a towel" beach chairs. I witnessed a group of adults have the chairs from sun up to sun down and they left for hours at a time and left their towels so no one could take their spots. I hate that. So selfish Oh! The pillows suck. I hate hotel pillows that are much and give no head support. But that's my gripe. You may love these pillows.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: In general the staff was very friendly and well trained. It's sad to see that people who stay at the hotel think they are 'king' and think it's ok to treat staff like the way they do.
Cons: This overall experience at the hotel was a big let down. We expected a few nice and quiet days at the beach but we arrived in an all-exclusive hell. When we arrived everything looked well, but that went down south in a short time. During the day people getting drunk and loud at the beach, and during the night they will party on in their hotel rooms with no respect to the hotel/other guests. We complained at the frontdesk but for some reason they couldn't help it. The first night we wanted to have dinner in the common restaurant (just a simple buffet nothing too fancy). As we weren't All-Inclusive members the restaurant asked us (around) 60 dollars per person to join this buffet. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind paying for food. But for this area, the hotel and the quality of the buffer we felt that we are getting ripped of as that are very uncommon prices for Vietnam. The morning breakfast is soo crowded that you need to 'fight' for your spot in order to get an egg/sandwich or whatsoever. After the breakfast we went to to beach where the sunbeds were old and hard and in general outdated. At 9AM we already had people drinking, getting loud in general annoying next to us. This didn't stop, as there wasn't a moment for the next hour where it was quiet or just relaxed in general. I couldn't handle this anymore, as I assumed that this was a nice and quiet hotel instead of an all-inclusive spring break opportunity for loud Russians and asked the staff (who were very friendly) for a solution. But sadly enough their hands were tied due to protocol. Therefore I decided to leave the hotel after one night instead of the 5 we've booked. I've paid around 250 dollars per night and for this amount of money I wasn't expecting something like this. I felt like I've overpaid and that this hotel sells all inclusive package on different websites for way less.

Pros: Beach
Cons: bus come to market night
10.0 Excellent

There is everything you need at their premises so you may even not leave this resort for your entire holiday. However, there are many fun and interesting places worth visiting on this island.
Cons: Bit too expensive.

3.4 Mediocre
Pros: The pool and various breakfast options.
Cons: Facilities are old and delapidated. Service slow and staff in great need of training. Isolated from other attractions and tours offered conducted by bell boy with little knowledge and huge language barrier. Food at restuarant overpriced and worst Ive had in Vietnam. It really is not a 4 star resort, I dont know who they bribed to get the rating but it should be revoked. So sad I spent a wk there and lost so much money for nothing.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Loved the bungalow, the beach 20m away and the pool with ocean view. Booked last minute and was upgraded ! This is a nice resort where to spend holidays!
Cons: Maybe the proximity with the airport you will hear planes landing and taking off but it wasn’t a big deal for me as the resort was so nice
8.0 Excellent
Pros: location is good, not to near to the centre but manageable by motorcycle. near the airport, no need to rush back. not so much traffic in front of hotel. room is big and spacious. property is clean, beach area also clean and cosy.
Cons: could update the aircond for latest model and faster cooling. the water for shower is not very fast.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in a bungalow, the room was very spacious, outdoor bathtub was great. Pool & beach were lovely and clean. Breakfast buffet was good and had a good range of options.
Cons: The staff at the beach bar were very friendly, but it felt they were under-staffed, service was very slow at times! Entertainment in the evening left a lot to be desired...
5.0 Okay
Pros: The beach is beautiful and the restaurant staff are helpful.
Cons: There were too many mosquitos in my room and the dirty environment and stagnant pond in the hotel should be blamed. The front desk staff (a pregnant woman) is rude and not helpful and had not arranged mosquito killing service and additional mosquito repellent oils as promised. English level of hotel staff is bad in general. Very pricy rate for such old hotel which definitely needs a renovation.
2.0 Mediocre
Cons: Really run down, entire hotel needs refurbing Beds rock hard Awful wine and could only choose from 2 cocktails from a 2 page cocktail list No room service after 10pm Customer Service really poor Very over priced

Pros: 3 pools of which one large one for children and one jacuzzi. New Year Presentation. Detailed report on existing programs, trips, procedures. Good Music at pool bar. Free transfer.
Cons: No clean towels, I had to carry a wet child from sweaming pool to the room, he could get sick. No free sunbeds. About 15 people roasted in the sun for more than an hour, waiting for a 30-minute bus until we asked the nearest hotel to take us to our hotel. Room was not ready for the appointed time.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful and clean. Quiet and Luxurious. The perfect place to get away and unwind. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly and the facilities and amenities are incredible. Would highly recommend and definitely stay again!
7.0 Good
Pros: Nice scenery, clean sea, quiet around.
Cons: The room was too dark. Even if it's characteristic, I think it's going too far. It's hard to find something. We stayed on the second floor, but the water pressure was really weak in the evening but got better in the morning. We arrived early, but we couldn't expect early check- in. Rather, even after 20 minutes of check-in time.... Also the room was not insulated against noise. We woke up early in the morning bcz of noise. There r too many flies in the restaurant. T T I won't go to there on Tet holiday.
7.0 Good
Pros: The location on an isthmus was terrific. Water views abounded.
Cons: Inside was very dark, including the restaurant and passageways.
6.3 Good
Pros: Its a beautiful resort with a nice pool and view of the sea. The treehouse restaurant is really nice and good quality. Staff is very friendly and tries really hard to make your stay a good one.
Cons: We booked for 2 nights and at arrival we were told there was a problem with the water supply. (They already had this for more than a day since we found a letter about it dated one day ago on our desk) This resulted in a basically non existent water pressure, we could not shower or wash our hands and hardly even brush our teeth. The last day it was even completely cut off. (This was especially annoying cause we booked the resort to relax and clean up after a part of our travel, but we couldn’t even shower) They offered us to go shower at the spa but the water pressure wasn’t better in there... Also this meant that for the entire last day no toilet at the resort was able to flush! As you can imagine that was rather disgusting. We didn’t get any compensation for this which we found rather surprising for a resort of this standard. Next to this they have the private island with the bar. Both nights we were there we tried to get there to watch the sunset and drink a cocktail but both times they ‘had just cancelled’ the boat service because the water was too rough. I appreciate they wanna offer a safe service to their customers, but it was only kinda windy so we didn’t understand why it was so dangerous to go literally 100m on that boat to the other side. It was also never mentioned anywhere that this could happen on a perfectly fine weather day (I obviously get they don’t go during a storm, but this made it look like they basically don’t run the boat service half of the time). This was very disappointing. The staff apologized to us for the inconveniences but we didn’t to be asked to pay full price for a room in which you cannot even use the restroom or take a shower.
7.5 Good
Pros: Private island and trees
Cons: The room was not clean we found kids stickers on the doors and some used bandaid in the bathroom .. also the light in the bathroom went off at night and we cant turn it back on so we have to use the torch.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location is good and close to cable car station. The villa is new and clean. Also there is a grocery store that you can buy fresh food to cook. Bicycle service and beach is super cool. Really love it.
Cons: I’ve booked a villa for 4 adults and 1 kid. The hotel just leaves two bedrooms open and locks 1 directly. Think it could better to notice the customer for choices about which ones to stay in.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast and view. There were some stairs which can be little hard for senior citizens. Good staff. Excellent room.
Cons: Too far from reception and climibing stairs to reach the villa.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Nothing
Cons: The hotel is definitely not worth the price. The service needs many improvements to reach the standard of a five-star hotel. - There are two beaches - one of them is completely full of mosquitos. On our first day each of us got around 20-30 bites of mosquitos on all the body (I'm not joking). Nobody from the staff informed us there was such a mosquito invasion. - On our second day, they asked us if we wanted an upgrade to the "On the rock Villa". We accepted and we prepared everything to move to the new villa. Only after 4-5 hours they told us that the "On the rock Villa" was not available anymore. Things like this are definitely not acceptable in these kind of hotels. - No water pressure at the rooms at the first floor - Restaurants and Mini-Market have exorbitant prices for the Vietnamese standard. - After all our complaints, the only thing they offered us was an extra-night with a 10% discount. This is ridiculous. - After this experience, we booked another 5 star hotel (not in the same area of the island), which was not only a lot cheaper, but had a much better service.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent room facilities and fresh air from the hill and the ocean
Cons: A bit long to wait for buggy Had better have a Good asian restaurant with selected local foods
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We booked a 2 bedroom villa. And they opend all 3 rooms for us so it was so cozy and nice. the location was right in front of the mainpool and breakfast restraunt. We had a wonderful experience and really really hope to comeback soon. The mainpool is so amazing!
Cons: Incomvinient that there is no microwave. And the sink is too small to wash big pasta dishes which the resort offerd. The pot was small to cook a 3 bedroom villa guest. Maybe you can barely cook 3 portion of meal. If the kichten has more products to use it would be a 100% awsome place to spend your vacation.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Villa is beautiful and beach & property do not feel crowded
Cons: 1. No washer/dryer in the villa 2. Not enough dining facilities to accommodate all guests. 3. Beach is small
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I like the design, the location and the architecture of the villages, the central pool is very beautiful. In short, everything is fine.
Cons: No see.

Cons: The children's indoor playground is really filthy, so that we didnt take our daughter back after the first time. The open air playground is in the sun, so not really good for small children during the day. On one of the days, our room wasnt cleaned, we don't know why.

Pros: Amazing place. Everything was great. The resort, staff, rooms was all exceptional and the beach and front area they have has to be one of the best on long beach.
Cons: I didn't like leaving

Pros: Very friendly staff. Convenience location and good facility both for work and leisures
Cons: Yet to find one
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Big, comfy room, beautiful hotel gounds, clean beach, very big sea swimming area. I don’t know if the hotel was empty (judging by breakfast- rather not!) but it was never crowded and everyone could have their privacy. Good breakfast, nice restaurants within 5mins walk- I miss it already!
Cons: Can’t complain about anything!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: perfect location to everything. nice beach and pool. very polite staff although some of them can't speak English, but willing to help all the time.
Cons: the king size bed of ocean view room is actually two single beds putting together.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had accidentally booked a room with one big bed instead of two smaller. The staff was very nice and we got an extra bed in the room with no extra charge, and an offer to change room after two nights when they would have an available room with two beds. Very good breakfast. Great location by the beach and easy to grab a taxi to the city We stayed in the "beach zone", I think that was the name. We did yoga one morning wich was included in your stay, you also got one hour of free tennis. A very nice tenniscourt
Cons: The only bad I think was our neighbour that slammed the door very hard
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It is a perfect place to relax and have fun! It has a great location and the beach is nice. Lovely people works there. Great breakfast.
Cons: The shower could have been closer
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, breakfast, staff! The rooms are confortable. I would advise everybody!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was outstanding.
Cons: A bigger menu on the beach.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a fantastic stay at Famiana Resort & Spa. Nice and clean room, large bathroom and a great view from our balcony. Staff members were smiling and helpful and made us feel very welcome. The hotel is located at the beach, which is beautiful and clean. I would also recommend the free yoga classes they offer every morning (except for weekends). The breakfast is very good, and there are many restaurants and small shops just outside of the hotel. If you are looking for a relaxing spot to spend your vacation, you won't regret choosing this one!
Cons: Beware of the traffic outside of the hotel area. There are no pavements or anything, but just watch your step and you'll be fine. It's nothing compared to Ho Chi Minh City :)

Cons: Not enough people spoke English.

Pros: Everything was fantastic from the villas to the location. Staff were so friendly and helpful, especially Mr Tuan and Mr Lam. Will definately return.
7.0 Good
Pros: Beach with many games and the enthusiasm of the staffs
Cons: The food was not delicious. And it was too expensive for its value
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The check-in process was very easy. and all the staff were kind. Room service was very satisfying
Cons: The breakfast restaurant was too loud.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful Place
Cons: There should be some nightly entertainment space like a disco, somewhere to have drinks and listen to music. The price of drinks such as beer is very high in the restaurant, there should be daily offers of good fish for food,
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Position of the vila direct on the beach. New year eve party was awesome. One of the best. Our villa was absolutely fabulous. Big, clean, nice design, cozy, comfortable. Mr Tuan, our guest staff was absolutely amazing. Excellent english(for Vietnam it is a miracle) always paying attention to our needs, organizing tour for us and most of the time do the job for his colleagues that could not communicate with foreigners.
Cons: Staff did not speak English at all. They did not refill daily the shower gel and shampoo on the bathroom. Food was average, the same everyday and all the daily meals almost the same. Very noisy the restaurant and nobody speak english. Not even international words: yes, no, espresso, fruits,etc..
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The best hotel in phu quok! We got a huge villa, very spacious, very luxurious, very well equipped and tastefully decorated with big TV, private pool with lake view. The shuttle service is very efficient, both inside and outside the hotel pick up and droop off from the airport. Also they have shuttle to the city 2 ways. Reception and departure are very efficient, everything is computerized and modern. The place itself, the gardens and pools are clean and well kept and everything is very green and beautiful to the eye. The beach is clean and the water are clear, there are many beach facilities to guests use

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was really good and nice, personal try help you in every situation, personal servis more than they have to do! Really nice stay and thanks for everything! Honestly one of the best stay what I got ! Recommanded to all guest around the world !
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Kiki, George and crew couldn’t be more accommodating.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Kiki, her husband George, and the rest of the staff are wonderful. George makes it a point to have a conversation with guests every day, telling stories and offering advice. The sand comes right up to the front steps of the three bungalows and provides a large area between the buildings and the waterline with chairs, tables, hammocks, and shade from the many palm trees. No need for shoes during your stay. The bungalows are relatively spacious (compared to hotel rooms), and would be even nicer if there was a way to get outside airflow at night so that the air conditioner is not needed. Room can be paid with credit card (with 2% fee), but any meals will need to be paid by cash. Be aware as there are no nearby ATMs. The menu in their little kitchen is quite extensive with mainly Vietnamese items, but also three flavors of spaghetti. On-demand water heater in the shower provides hot water, but it is low flow due to their well situation. Wifi was stable, but somewhat slow. But you are in the middle of nowhere, so any wifi is nice. Many of the guests that came and went during our week at Kiki's did various activities on the island during their days. We found that just puttering around Kiki's and watching the water was just fine - no need to run around all the time. The location is on the quiet side of the island. It is a bit of a drive (like 350,000 VND taxi each way) to get into the "big" city. Sun rises right outside the bungalow doors, but sets on the other side of the island. Quiet at night - essentially no traffic noises, just a rustle of wind and gentle waves.
Cons: Like most of Vietnam, there is litter everywhere - except at Kiki's. They clean their bit of paradise constantly, but the surrounding beaches and roadsides are covered in trash. Having a second operable window to enable air flow at night would keep the room more comfortable without turning on the air conditioner.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Really cool hosts, Nelson and Kiki (the couple that run the place) are super nice and friendly, really accomodating and welcoming, lots of good info too. Food is good and the location is excellent if you want to be away from all the hussle and bustle of the main town.
Cons: The only possible improvement I could see is maybe improving the beach area to the left and right by tidying it up and keeping it nice, although these areas may not belong to their villa in which case maybe it's out of their hands. Apart from that it's a cool place.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Rooms are clean The resort is well maintained The sea front is nice Warm welcome of Kiki and George
Cons: Location is too far away on short stay (1h30 round trip by scooter to go to must see places of the island) Dinner has to be served at 7pm with other guests which was more of a contraint for us looking for peace and serenity coming to that kind of secluded resort No beach though one could be arranged as the little sand space on the sea is full of trash Overall the stay is overpriced
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A very beautiful and peaceful place. Silent, clean, good food, cute dogs - very good value for money. We had a lovely stay. The hosts are the most friendly people you will meet, and they have tons of great recommendations for Phu Quoc and Vietnam in general.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I absolutely loved the atmosphere and personal care that we all was treated with at Coconut Beach Resort. Its one of these places you hide in your heart as a preciouse memory. Sitting at night on the beach under the stars sharing meals with interesting travellers from all over the world.....what else could you wish? Kiki and George does really make this place unique allthough one should be aware that this brings nothing of the luxury that a lot of the new resorts offer. Special recommendation to request the Robinson House for those who wants to stay for more then some few nights. This is where you go to get away from it all :)
Cons: In general it is very sad to se the exploation and pollution of this island, although that has nothing to do specifically with Kiki Coconut Beach Resort. (!) They are struggling very hard to keep the area as clean as possible.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I've been to Phu Quoc before and was under impressed because of the vast amount of construction and masses of people but this place is the perfect antidote. The hosts are super hospitable and the rooms and beach area are impeccable. The water is shallow and serves as a massive wonderfully warm bath! We stayed 3 nights and had such a peaceful and relaxing experience. We'll definitely be back! The hosts go out of their way to do their best for you, arranging transport, tours, and so on and the food is tasty and inexpensive. Even if you're not that experimental with food, you'll find something great to eat.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very chilled resort, great bungalows, lots of space. Beach and sea is clean, nice for swimming and snorkelling. Fantastic food in restaurant set out over sea. Very helpful staff. This place is near paradise on earth. The resort is an oasis of tranquillity that seems to attract like minded travellers.
Cons: nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: There was not one thing we did not like about this little corner of paradise! In the fast paced development of Phu Quoc, that was a peaceful oasis for us to spend days looking at the sea lying in the hammocks under the palm trees or chat the evenings away with Kiki, George and their crew.. this was our last stay in Vietnam and we could not have wished for a more perfect end to the trip. An extra kind word for a great job of the cook who cooked us delicious meals every day. And indeed the review would not be full without adding a word of gratitude to Kiki and George who, within few days, have integrated us into their large family, offering a kind word, a joke or a whole treasury of knowledge about the island. Cannot wait to be back.
Green Bay Phu Quoc Resort & Spa - Phu Quoc - Building

9.2 Excellent (849 reviews)
Overview Reviews
From the moment we first walked through an uninhabited tropical forest on Phu Quoc Island and discovered a pristine beach in a secluded coral bay boasting panoramic views across the Gulf of Thailand, we were inspired to create Green Bay Resort. We immediately had a vision of an eco-conscious, five-star boutique resort that nurtured the natural beauty of one of the secluded Vietnam beaches. Our goal was to develop a world class resort in Phu Quoc without disturbing the island’s enchanting, rustic aura. Our luxurious lodgings incorporate natural and sustainably-sourced materials while featuring all of the modern amenities that guests would expect from a superlative boutique holiday experience . Every day you will see a team of gardeners carefully maintaining the bucolic beauty throughout the resort. Each and every detail throughout our resort – from the serene setting of our spa through the restaurants and to the infinity pool bar that overlooks a pristine shoreline and the turquoise waters of a coral fringed-bay, guests will appreciate how Green Bay Resort strives to protect its most precious asset: the natural beauty of Phu Quoc Island.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location, friendly staff, perfect retreat stay
Cons: Vietnamese restaurant, food quality
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was fantastic, great breakfast with a huge variety. The bungalow was really big with a great interior. Also, the two pools were fantastic. I can highly recommend to spend your vacation there and have dinner at the Vietnamese restaurant.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location, privacy and overall standard of the resort is exceptional. Hygiene and cleanliness throughout the resort was 6 star, they even take the beeches. The general manager and staff will very happily see to all your needs especially when you need there support.
Cons: The swimming pool with the ocean view villas should be heated, unfortunately we stayed on a couple of cloudy days which left the pool too cold. The superb outside luxury bath couldn’t be filled with hot water from the taps as it is supplied from a solar heated water tank. However this was resolved by the team with a hose pipe from a hot water connection.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in the ocean pavilion with a private pool. The room was really beautiful! Clean & spacious with nice views of the bay and the private pool was bigger than we expected! The hotel grounds are beautifully maintained and because all the rooms are villas or bungalows it retains that boutique feel. Breakfast selection was fantastic: egg station, pancakes, Vietnamese noodle soup, fresh croissants, a good fruit selection and cheeses. I also enjoyed the Vietnamese coffees each morning (they also offer cold drop coffee, American coffee, hot chocolate, tea & juice). Vietnamese food from Gio restaurant was enjoyable: particularly the lotus salad!
Cons: Insufficient information was provided at check in. For example, they offer a complimentary afternoon tea at 3pm each day which we only discovered by mistake! There is no map provided in the room, nor is there a spa menu. You have to walk (or catch a buggy) to the spa to see what treatments they offer. The hotel does provide room service but the menu is very restricted (and predominantly western food). The one time we ordered room service, it took 40minutes and was cold by the time it arrived. Unfortunately the staff would not provide cocktails to our room: only beer or wine. This was disappointing considering we’d booked the private pool villa with the intention of relaxing there all day!
7.0 Good
Pros: Beautiful resort, loved the bungalows and the design of whole place, including restaurants and pools etc. The beach was kept wonderfully clean and the entire hotel was very clean. The Duty Manager was very helpful, particularly offering a lift when we had to use the hospital on the island. It was really thoughtful and saved us a lot of stress.
Cons: We had issues with the food in the main restaurant, it seemed there was too much food to offer good quality and in fact we had to send food back one night as it was very undercooked, and on another occasion the food was cold. It’s such a shame because the Vietnamese restaurant is very good in comparison. In general, whilst the staff seem very eager to please, the level of service is just adequate rather than 4 star. There is no concierge, you cannot book taxis on the room account so remember to bring cash, despite offering a laundry service you have to call reception to specify use and the staff cannot assist with ongoing travel plans aside from the shuttle I.e. offering advice on transport off the island etc. We were advised that the spa was short staffed, so were only offered limited availability when booking, however when at the spa other guests appeared to be able to book treatments easily on the day.
7.0 Good
Pros: The location is idyllic, You wake up to birds singing and waves crashing on the rocks. The resort has a small child-friendly private beach, two pools and two restaurants.
Cons: Where to begin: We booked a beachfront bungalow with a double bed. Later we received an email stating this would depend on availability when we arrived. I sent two emails requesting the free transfer from the airport offered by the resort. After no response, I telephoned to confirm and was told transport would be waiting. This was not true. When we arrived at the resort they requested payment, using my mobile phone I demonstrated payment was taken several days before. At this point the man just wandered off, he never spoke to me again. Later we went to dinner and I ordered Seabass. They tried to serve a cheaper fish, I pointed this out and they replaced it. With the exception of breakfast, the quality of the food at the resort was poor. Internet quality was good when it worked, which it did not two of the four nights of our stay.
6.3 Good
Pros: Great location. Quiet. 30 min. From the city.
Cons: Climate control was a constant challenge. The AC was noisy and the system was difficult to control. A king-size bed is in fact 2 mattresses put together. Consequently, the two came apart. The bungalow provided minimum comfort and offered poor Wifi connectivity.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything.. The place is a dream!
Cons: Ongoing maintenance can be noisy but there is no avoiding that, I guess. Also, if you like to walk along long beaches, this is not the most accessible place.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing place and service. We love it! Highly recommend it!
Cons: All hood
Peppercorn Beach Resort - Phu Quoc - Bedroom

9.2 Excellent (575 reviews)
Overview Reviews
The Peppercorn Beach Resort is an ideal choice for travelers who want to take in the sights and sounds of Phu Quoc Island. From the hotel, Phu Quoc International Airport is approximately 38km away. At the end of a busy day, travelers can unwind and relax in the hotel or go out and enjoy the city. For guests' convenience, airport pickup can be arranged. There's never a dull moment at this hotel, our guests indicate that the facilities are excellent.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was great--a small, simple menu that's made-to-order so everything comes out fresh. The resort offers a bunch of nice little freebies: snorkeling gear, kayaks, suntan lotions/sprays, bicycles, a modest library, a daily shuttle to the main town area. Lunch and dinner aren't included, but the menu is nice and affordable, with rotating daily specials. The owners and staff are super friendly without being overbearing or nosy, and are very warm and accommodating. It really was the perfect place for us.
Cons: It's hard to find any real negatives about this place because we loved it. It's on a pretty quiet corner of the island, so if you really want a lot of different lunch/dinner options, you may have to travel a bit.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The resort is very well organised and thought through. It’s an ideal place for relaxing and spending time away from noisy parts of Phu Quoc. The restaurant is amazing and guests from other resorts were coming for lunches and dinners here.
Cons: The ants in our room, but not sure how much can be done here
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The accommodation was excellent and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was superb, including the breakfast which was excellent.
Cons: There is nothing negative about this place, it was all good.
10.0 Excellent

Pros: Amazing staff, wonderful garden! The food was delicious. The sea warm! This was deeply relaxing, would come back anytime. Location: hidden paradise, we didn't leave the resort for 5 days.

Cons: Ants are everywhere:) very naturally

Featured amenities include a business center, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. 9.0 Excellent
Pros: + Nice location, with beautiful and clean beach + Big room + There is always availability of beds on the beach (differently from many other resorts)
Cons: - Communication problems with the staff: apart from the reception, most of the hotel members have difficulty in speaking and understanding English (especially when you need to explain them that you do not eat spicy food...)
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic place, we had a beachfront bungalow which was exactly that and had a fantastic view! The whole place was super chilled and had an understated charm and style. Restaurant was great but the beachfront bar even better and after the first night we always ate there. Staff also great, always friendly and helpful. Having seen some of the other massively over-developed resorts on the island we really appreciated the quiet and relative isolation. We'd definitely go again!
Cons: Nothing really. If you're being really picky the bungalows were around 5 years old - but they were still better than almost everywhere else we stayed in 2 1/2 weeks in Vietnam.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was just fantastic. Location, staff, food, room and beach... all of these are more than perfect. We would surely come back to this place. Thank you very much for making our holiday so special.
Cons: You can’t expect much from spa. But you don’t need it anyway. You have many more things to do here.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in 2 rooms with our 3 year old - pool view and beach front for 5 nights. Both are great but beach front was just a bit better! All rooms had 2 doors which made it easy to come in with wet feet without wetting the room. Rooms were big and very comfortable. Balconies were great too. This resort is amazing for families with small children. The beach and pool are ideal for kids, and the sea is clean, clear, warm, and quite shallow. Facilities were very clean, staff were helpful and always present. There was food service at the pool, beach and room, though it could take some time sometimes. Quality of food was basically good, though a bit expensive (all relative though!). The portion sizes are big which makes up for the expense. We also loved the coffee and breakfast. Communication with the property was really easy. Staff spoke enough English and front desk was very responsive before and during our stay. Rental Scooters and free bicycles are available at the property. Yes, it is a little distance from the nearby town, about 1-1.5km, but frankly we found no reason to leave! All in all an amazing stay! We will definitely be back and will definitely recommend it!
Cons: A few suggestions only: 1) switch to refillable water bottles instead of providing more and more plastic bottles. 2) improve bedside lighting especially in the beachfront rooms. 3) Provide at least one luggage rack and also a foldable clothes dryer.
6.0 Good
Pros: The facilities are very nice and the location is nice, far from the huge hotels on east coast. The atmosphere is simply homey. The breakfast was not bad the food offer had nice variety. The staff was very nice but lacking the enthusiasm when solving any issue.
Cons: The room was contaminated with flies and it seems it does not bother anyone from the house keeping, so I have to complain every morning to get the room sprayed. And sadly nobody cared about cleaning dead flies after. As I found out it was rather specific issue of our room ( 122) then issue in whole complex. The in-room cutlery and glasses were pretty dirty. The dishes on lunch and dinner menu was not good. Many of originally savory dishes were very sweet( nasi goreng, tom yum, seafood and vegetables with oyster sauce, bolognese pasta) and the western dishes were often disgusting ( pizza and pasta). The service in the bar and restaurant was unnecessary slow .
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful beach fit for both swimming and snorkeling, no big waves so also kids friendly. Very friendly staff. Rooms always perfectly cleaned. Possibility to borrow (for free) bike or kayak and explore the surroundings. Trips organized to a nearby beach from time to time. Reasonable food and drink prices within the resort.
Cons: The food was sometimes unusual in case of the Western dishes (the Vietnamese dishes were delicious). There are not really nearby shops / restaurants outside the resort (but the Ganh Dau village is not that far when using the bike).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the peace and beauty
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The private beach, the great breakfast, the amazing staff.
Cons: Is far from the city center, almost 20 km. Although, if you are seeking for relax far away from everything, this is a great place!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely family resort, big room, great clean beach, delicious food, sweet staff highly recommend!
Cons: Complimentary Airport taxis provided were awful terrible drivers in cheap cars constantly on phones! Scary! I would of rather paid for better quality
