It was fairy clean
Staff was ambivenlent, or even rude. Room was in poor shape, heater didn't work, nor did hot water. Tiles falling off of wall. Staff didn't come fix water, was rude and dismissive. Never staying here again and telling everyone I know this place is poorly run
The staff is always pleasant and helpful. We have stayed at most of the casinos in Reno. This is the nicest. Easily.
Clean n quiet
The pool was amazing but employees were pretty rude
Arcade didn't open till 1pm. Restaurants and gift shops both closed early and opened late.
Size of room
Typical bait and switch scam. Nothing costs what is listed. Random charge for “resort fees” they was as much as listed price for room on Internet site Named after a small one person boat. Fee is collected at hotel and is not always same amount. I
It was comfortable
Ac wouldn’t work and staff was not helpful and maids didn’t clean
Comfort depends on the room
We stayed twice over the course of a week. One night was in the east tower in a room overlooking the interstate. It was very noisy, even 21 floors up. I did not sleep. Some of the upkeep on the property seems to be falling behind since the Ascuaga family sold it.
The second night we got a room in the west tower on the back side of the hotel away from the interstate. It was a remodeled room, quiet and comfortable; noticeably more so than the older rooms in the east tower. We paid the same price both nights. Whatever price you pay, request a room on the back side. The pool area is nice and large, too. It was well used, but didn't feel crowded. The casino is like most other large casinos in Reno. You'll find whatever you're looking for there.
Everything is old smells like smoke
poor experience with staff
one of my employees was accosted by a security staff for being on his phone. he came in the back door, sat on a bench to finish a phone call before going through the building to starbucks and up to his room. a security guard accused him of loitering, took his ID and told him if he wasn't playing, he couldn't stay. I asked to talk to a manager, then a security supervisor with limited interest in the way a guest of their hotel was treated. we moved our rooms to a nearby, competing facility.
Why not use fabric softener for scratchy towels. Put soft material in ledge below curtains to absorb freeway sound. Pricing deceptive. Only two staff to check in lines of people. Change door locks cos so you can do auto checking online with cell phones.
Well it was very nice and everything, but from our room we had a view of the parking garage, which wasn’t the issue , the issue was all night as cars passed and went over the bridge joint it was loud , and even worse when semis passed by , we even have relax melodies music playing pretty loud on our tablet to dround out the noise but here I lay in this bed, it’s 4 am not able to sleep , my kids have woken up a dozen times which is very rare , had I know this BEFORE I paid the non refundable payment of 62.84 plus another 20$ At checkin totaling to 82.84 I would have found somewhere that was quieter , we came to stay the night here to enjoy a peaceful night ,because at our home in portola ca , about 30 mins away , due to the freezing weather it caused our water pipes to freeze so we have no flushing toilet, no shower, no way to do dishes , so i figured even though we have bills passed due and risk our cell phones being disconnected, We don’t have much of a choice we need to shower ! And since I got my mediocre disability check we can get a room at the nugget , and enjoy a quiet night where we can all take hot showers ,go swimming , and like most people like to do at a casino gamble, which we can’t afford to gamble , so we just wanted to simply enjoy our stay . But after swimming and getting dinner we laid down for bed , and realized this was not what we had in mind at all !! and it is now too late to go elsewhere or attempt to switch to another room likely with the same issue due to interstate 80 running right next to the nugget , and because we have 2 year old and 4 year old daughters that want to go swimming at the indoor pool in the morning before we go back to our house which has no water because it’s still frozen , im hoping you may consider helping get the refund we kind of deserve, or something to make up for our almost 90$ loss with our stay at the nugget , thank you very much for your time , Richard Stansberry.
