Easy process to get and return car. The staff were helpful. When I had to exchange car because of a tire issue, it would have been nice for them to deliver the car instead of me going from one Sixt dealer to another.

Beware of Sixt in general, but particularly the one in Zagreb. While SIXT has reported record profits, you will find out how they are making all that money when you visit a center to pick up the car that you booked online, and are forcefully coerced into buying insurance and protections that you don’t need.

Both pick up and drop off was difficult with this company. My husband was the only driver, but they made us pay for an extra driver since I, his wife, had rented car on-line. The agent wasn’t friendly. Then when we went to drop off the car, no one was at the office, and the phone number listed on the door was wrong. We Finally found someone to leave the key with at the hotel. They told us that the cost for the car was very high. We will never rent with this company again.

Everything was excellent with the pick up in downtown Zebreg. The drop off at the hotel Rixos in Dubrovnik was a little unclear. The Sixt desk was closed at noon, so as instructed on the app, left the keys and paperwork with the front desk at the hotel. Not sure how or when my deposit will be refunded.

We enjoyed our car rental while visiting Croatia. Checking-in and returning to a different location and the number of days was a reasonable rate. The only downside was the 2,000 euro hold that was placed on our credit card because we declined additional coverage. Also, we were charged an adiitional 17.50 for going on a car ferry. An unexpected up charge that seemed a little dubious.

The car was good and process was simple, though there was a surprise car wash free with the car pickup rental and then had to wait on the return since they thought I might have scratched the right tire rim, but it was already scratched. Hope this helps! Cheers!

Mandated that I accept the collision damage insurance when my premium credit card offers that insurance. I’m addition, I had the declaration form. This was not specified by Kayak or the rental company when booking the car. Third party liability was approved.

Hello, I'm extremely unhappy with the car rental I paid for online. When I arrived at the chosen time and location, the company didn't exist. It was a scam. I was told to go in Morgan City, 60 miles away. I had no way to get there. I then called the company, which confirmed that I couldn't pick up the car in Houma because it no longer operates there, and they told me I just had to cancel the reservation. However, by canceling my reservation at the last minute, I won't receive a full refund. I am therefore requesting a full refund of the amount initially paid for this car rental, which was not possible, as well as compensation because I was forced to find another car rental agency, which cost me more than I had planned. I also had to pay taxi fares to get to the meeting point and to go to this other agency. I am very disappointed with this bad experience.

I made a reservation. Arrived at the zagreb airport to pick up my car the next day and Avis counter told me that they did not have ANY cars. Told me sorry - this happens and it is not their problem! Apparently they can make reservations but don’t always keep them. Beware! Avis is NOT reliable. They also did not offer any assistance on what I could do. I was in a real bind. I had to walk down the rental counters and find something. Ended up with something much more expensive. Very disappointing experience.
