Get good neck pillows. Good seat cushion for pain or numb muscles. Bring your own headphones as the input jack was normal.

Don’t go to Mumbai if you wanna take another fight to anywhere in India … HORRIBLE system .. first you have to pass the immigration… then take your luggage to transfer ….lines are crazy … then go through security AGAIN ..

FAQs - booking Asia flights

  • What are some popular airports to fly in and out of Asia?

Popular airports in Asia include Doha’s Hamad International Airport, Singapore Changi Airport and Tokyo Haneda International Airport (HND), which are some of the largest hubs on the continent. UK flyers tend to enjoy flying to Dubai International Airport or Hong Kong International Airport, both as a destination and a layover airport for destinations further afield, such as Japan and Australia.

  • What’s a good way to find cheap flights to Asia?

If you want to find cheaper flights to Asia from the UK, you’ll generally find much cheaper tickets if you select a flight with at least one layover. For example, from London Heathrow Airport or Manchester Airport, you can grab flights to Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Airport (BOM) with Swiss Air or Lufthansa, while flights from Heathrow to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport with Malaysia Airlines stop in Kuala Lumpur; both are generally cheaper than the direct option. Furthermore, make sure you book it well in advance to possibly get a cheaper price.

  • What visa do I need to fly to Asia?

Asia is a huge continent with many different countries with different immigration policies when it comes to UK citizens. Depending on the country you are visiting, it is likely you will need some sort of visa, with places such as China, Mongolia and Iran to name a few all requiring UK citizens to have an approved visa in their passport prior to arrival.

  • What options are there for direct flights to Asia?

You can fly directly to most major cities in Asia, especially when flying with a national airline such as Thai Airways to Bangkok or Japan Airlines to Tokyo. You can also fly to Middle Eastern countries such as Jordan, United Arab Emirates and Qatar. However, these flights can prove to be expensive. A wise option is to find flights with a short layover, and this will reduce the price by a distance in some cases.

  • How does KAYAK find such low prices on flights from the United Kingdom to Asia?

KAYAK is a travel search engine. That means we look across the web to find the best prices we can find for our users. With over 2 billion flight queries processed yearly, we are able to display a variety of prices and options on flights from the United Kingdom to Asia.

  • How does KAYAK's flight Price Forecast tool help me choose the right time to buy my flight ticket from the United Kingdom to Asia?

KAYAK’s flight Price Forecast tool uses historical data to determine whether the price for a flight from the United Kingdom to Asia is likely to change within 7 days, so travellers know whether to wait or book now.

  • What is the Hacker Fare option on flights from the United Kingdom to Asia?

Hacker Fares allow you to combine one-way tickets in order to save you money over a traditional return ticket. You could then fly from the United Kingdom to Asia with an airline and back with another airline.

  • What is KAYAK's "flexible dates" feature and why should I care when looking for a flight from the United Kingdom to Asia?

Sometimes travel dates aren't set in stone. If your preferred travel dates have some wiggle room, flexible dates will show you all the options when flying from the United Kingdom to Asia up to 3 days before/after your preferred dates. You can then pick the flights that suit you best.

  • What is the cheapest day to fly to Asia?

The seating is spaced out nicely, The crew could have offer more drinks.

Overall I was quite pleased with the experience; the cleanliness; the polite and attentiveness of the cabin crew; and the delicious food options.

Excellent comfort and entertainment. Service poor..Food average with little choice.

Comfort good. Service as usual poor. Cabin temperature as usual too cold, about 15 degrees

The plane was clean and well maintained the crew members were professionals and friendly and the food was good

Ticket price is competitive, flight time is punctual, aircraft cabin is clean, food is average. Can improve on serving system of meals on a A380 airbus. I had only 15 min to eat my meal. There are lots of people to serve & took a while for food to make it down to my row.

Flight was on time. Seats (economy) were very comfortable and food was excellent. The bad thing was that after landing it took an hour to reach arrivals. We had to wait 15mins to get off the plane and then had to board a bus which moved very slowly and took almost 30 minutes.

Amazing and great experience, crew was available and took great care of my parents. Food was nice and so was the service. Aircraft from Dubai to Mumbai was not so great and was a big showdown of the aircraft service

On this flight, about the last 2 hours the captain kept the cabin too hot. It appeared like the ac was off.

Boarding was a mess, no one managing the queues. I got my meal as the pilot announced starting commencing descent and basic drink not available. No air bridge so takes forever to deplane the A380 onto buses.

I’ve flown with Qatar multiple times and the service has always been great. Very professional, organized, the food is delicious and plentiful, tons of entertainment.

The Achilles heel of the experience with Qatar Airways is the Doha Airport, especially for travellers arriving into Doha and not transiting. This airport suffers from being ambitiously big and the immigration into Qatar being overly time taking. At the end of my particular flight in which my travel was ending in Doha, the plane parked at a very remote terminal, from where it took me 30 minutes to arrive just at the immigration counter, with fast paced walking and the time on a train inside the airport. Then, at the immigration counter it takes up to a minute or more to process each tourist visitor, due to time taking face and finger scanning processes and langugage barriers if there are questions or information to be exchanged verbally with the officers. If several planes have landed at the same time, it is not unusual that one has to wait 45 to 60 minutes in the immigration queue. In short, the frustration of arriving at Doha takes away all positive vibe of the airline, as the airline and the airport are heavily intertwined and are marketed together.

I recently travelled with Qatar Airways from Doha to Dulles in the QSuite, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. The QSuite truly feels like a First-Class experience, with its luxurious design, privacy, and comfort. The cabin crew, especially the lady in charge of the cabin, was remarkable—professional, attentive, and genuinely kind. The food was excellent, and the comfort of the seat was absolutely first-class, making the journey smooth and enjoyable. While the in-flight experience was outstanding, I have a few points of feedback. Firstly, the content available in the in-flight entertainment system could be expanded and upgraded to include a more diverse and updated collection. This would elevate the entertainment experience to match the premium standards of the QSuite. Secondly, regarding the Wi-Fi service: while QSuite passengers receive one hour of complimentary Wi-Fi, any additional usage requires a fee of USD 10. Considering the premium pricing of QSuite, it would be more fitting to include unlimited Wi-Fi as part of the experience, further enhancing the luxury offered to passengers. Lastly, I must highlight an issue with luggage handling. Unfortunately, my luggage did not make it through the transit, which was disappointing. While the ground crew assured me that it would be delivered to my home on the same day as it was arriving on the next flight, this promise was not fulfilled, and the delay added unnecessary inconvenience to an otherwise excellent experience. Overall, the QSuite experience was exceptional, but addressing these areas would further solidify Qatar Airways’ position as a leader in luxury air travel.

My experience with Qatar airway was very unsatisfactory. They lost my child’s stroller and I was told they found it and will send it to the hotel which was a lie. I had to go back to the airport baggage claim and pick up myself after trying to contact them many times!. There was a lack professional and communication. I am very disappointed in Qatar airway and will not be recommending them to friends and family nor will I be flying with them in the future.

Aircraft was spacious compared to American Airlines, food was great, entertainment was much better with a wide variety of options, and the crew was very polite.

Did not like anything. Seats were crammed, leg space was minimal and food was terrible. This was the first time traveling overseas in American Airlines and was the worst experience ever. Have learned a lesson to never travel in American Airlines.

Qatar Airways in-flight first/business class service is superior to any US airline; excellent meals are served on short haul flights such as between DXB and DOH.

The rows of seats in economy class are seriously close to one another making eating and resting just about impossible - there is hardly any legroom. Anyone larger than average size would have an incredibly uncomfortable flight. I had to basically share my seat with the lady passenger next to me as she was too big to fit into her allotted seat.

Noice cancelling headphones would be better since it’s a crowded plane And kids behaviors are unavoidable

Fly Qatar Airways is always amazing. Their service and care for details is really very good.

The food could be better. Toilets were smelly all along

Etihad seems to have a very strict luggage enforcement. I am a very light passenger compared to other passengers which are mainly heavier. I do not understood why airlines enforce the weight restriction so strictly. I was overweight luggage of 1.5kg, but am probably 10+kg lighter than the average passenger. Other airlines are far more accommodating. Poor customer service as far as I am concerned. If weight is such an important issue to an airline they should charge passengers by total amount of body weight plus luggage. To me just ridiculous.

Flight was delayed due to slow boarding process by etihad. Update food options and movies as well.

Extremely bad food, they never gave our bags in time, the online check-in did not let us check in because we had Indian OCI not sure why we were given the option to check in then, because we couldn’t check in online we had to go in person and we were not able to change our seats and sit with our family

Should have had business class line in immigration. Food quality suboptimal

Used to Etihad employees are very rude and unprofessional but now better than before over all is okay now

we were delayed from Athens to Abu Dhabi by an hour and a half, so I had trouble connecting the flight from there to Bali. It could have been done had they waited even 15 mins. There was another lady who was in the same boat. By the time we were half way across the terminal, they have actually already issued different flights for us to go Jakarta then to Bali. Not to mention the inconvenience of waiting over 4 hrs at the airport and the subsequent inconvenience, we did not arrive to Bali till after 800pm the next day, which means I paid for the hotel for nothing when I could have been there before noon the next day! There was little explanation. It was just as well I needed some assistance getting around, otherwise the 2 of us would have been completely lost! Not going to fly with them again!

The flight take time was changed 23 times. The system kept sending messages it will be earlier at 4am and eventually the flight was at 9am I didn’t sleep all night because of that

Bad. Flight was very uncomfortable with narrow and shallow seats, very little food and water. I will not fly etihad again.

Needs better seat for business class. My seat was falling apart. Also no WiFi on that flight

All service prior to the flight was terrible: online check-in not working, no customer service tel,, multiple airport scanners not working, A huge mess.

CONSTANT ERROR MESSAGE THAT THE WIFI COULD NOT BE PURCHASED DUE TO INABILITY TO CONNECT PAYMENT SYSTEM VIA SATELLITE. THIS HAPPENED IN BOTH DIRECTIONS. THE MAIN REASON I TRAVEL IN PRIORITY IS TO BE ABLE TO WORK FOR WHICH I NEED ACCESS TO INTERNET. .

They lost my luggage. Lady who was helping with it in Austin was rude. Not very helpful!

Waited 3.25 hours in plane only to have the flight cancelled.

The business class seat was an uncomfortable conversion of a main cabin seat well below the quality of even the budget carriers in the US. I would have never paid for business class if would have known I get the same seat as main cabin. BA has gone down hill significantly in this class of service.

More space, of course. a footrest! more room to walk. Movie selection was awful. Some good documentaries would help if the movies can't be better. The flight itself was great, crew was great.

I had a great experience on this flight! The crew was extremely helpful and attentive. Seats are very comfortable and the in flight entertainment was excellent.

They are disorganized….show your flight info half an hour before take off, so you are running all over the place. Customer personnel are not helpful, and act like you are bothering them when you asked for assistance - very rude!!! My very first and last time flying with British airways… good thing we have other options.

I didn’t have food and they don’t include entertainment. Not much leg room at all. Staff were great.

Better synchronizing the boarding processes. The audio announcements, the personnel and the digital signage were not saying the same thing. All confusion.

Miss my flight from delhi to amritsar due to lock the luggage door of airplane.and there was no more flight even for next days and they not refund the fare. I took bus grom delhi.. bad experiance.

Boarding was through bus even though aerobridges were empty. Major mess

Food is good, staff is good... Wi-fi quality is poor, disembarkment after landing is atrocious.

Extremely bad experience compared to Vistara. No priority in check in, no priority for boarding. No upgrade. Seat selection is paid. Curtains were dirty. Demo bag was dirty. Warmth of the crew was missing.

It was far better than what others had led me to expect. I would fly with them again. Don't expect all features of the entertainment system to work.

The trip with Air India was better than expected starting with the check-in and the Lounge. The flight was comfortable for a 1 hour flight.

Other than the inflight video screen freezing for about four hours everything else was brilliant.

Direct Connection is the biggest advantages. Aircrafts are now better but food and beverages could be better and served more often in a ultra long flight

Information about when boarding would start was missing. Ground staff wasn't ready to provide any information with the answer being in the next 15 minutes any time we asked. (Took 2 hours)

The flight was dirty. The screens were not working and people were restless. Food and staff was okay.
