Cons (-) There was street construction all night, starting at midnight until the next morning when. We checked out. We called for earplugs but the hotel didn’t offer. We barely slept and when I spoke to the manager he had nothing to offer further than an apology for our disturbance. The restaurant has a good view. The food was just ok.

We booked a two-bed room and got a king with a too-short foldaway cot, and on one of the coldest days of the year they did not have any spare blankets, so we were given three sheets instead. The hotel was in a great location in the heart of Mt Vernon - I could see the Washington Monument from my window. Housekeeping was very accommodating to our schedule and left the room pristine.
