The atmosphere in the hotel was one of courtesy and helpfulness and of wanting to please. We loved the couryard and the bar and dining room. We stayed in room 9 and there was no mirror by the electric point for hair drying. The dog next door barked when we moved in the room.

Very attentive and friendly service. Spacious and comfortable rooms with big double bed. Nice shower. Excellent English breakfast. a bit pricey. banged my head twice on the low door frames upstairs.

hotel staff and manager were excellent and made us feel welcomed. They went out of their way to help and please us, which they did. Food was great, both breakfast and dinner. The restaurant staff was fabulous and we ate dinner there every night. The hotel room was clean, nice, and fairly spacious. Felt nearly at home here at this hotel. Wonderful place. Room was a bit noisy but our room was right by the road. Not all rooms there have their windows by the road. It was not enough however to disturb our sleep. Hotel was a bit far from most things, but a bus stop is right near by or if you have a car, then no problem there. Overall, wonderful experience and I would stay there again.

Lovely welcome bythe manageress, very attentive and accomodating. Lovely food and room. Receptionist was a bit quiet and unconfident and we found our own wayto our rooms. She may have been training I am not sure.

the ambience - a very sympathetic restoration of an attractive building on the edge of the Cotswolds One or two problems with service - served someone els's starters with no indication that they were starters - but hotel wouldn't let us pay for these, so a plus point; initial reception at hotel (possibly a language problem)

Clean and helpful staff arrived after 9.30pm and still managed to feed me, it was no problem for the staff. The room was good and I thought good value for money None
