Clean airy spacious room with very .helpful and polite staff. Location was also good providing easy access to City shopping and street food ops.
Location was a bit tricky for airport taxi to access but it was only a short walk to hotel from street drop off point. When the hotel order the taxi door to door service for patrons this is not a problem . Be aware , 24 hr notice required for hotel to bk taxi for patrons.
The hotel is very clean and modern. They even provide a smart phone for guests to use during their stay. The Corner Suite was large and the bed was extremely comfortable. The view of the river is great, but if you want a view of the Grand Palace and Wat Arun, book the Deluxe Double or Panoramic Suite. Breakfast was served in the cafe downstairs and was filling. There is a good market behind the hotel and the ferry pier is only a ten minute walk away. With that being said, getting to the hotel with anything besides backpacks can be a challenge because of the market. If you don't want to take the ferry, you're a 15-30 minute car ride from the most popular parts of the city.
Hospitality was excellent. Room was clean and our beds were comfy. Very close to the wang lang pier. Nyummy halal cafe called salam wang lang about 100m from the hotel. Nice ambiance considering its location in the middle of the market and not at all noisy.
We arrived in Bangkok after midnight and Baan Wanglang Riverside was our first hotel. It was perfect. Our room looked out at the Chao Phraya River and we could also see The Grand Palace lit up in the distance. The area around this hotel is quaint and offers some delicious street food. It was super easy to take a boat across the river to explore that part of Bangkok as well. We found it easy to get a Grab, which helped get us around other parts of town that were further away, or simply because we were exhausted from a day of exploring. The cafe offers great coffee and breakfast options.
If you are taking a car service or Grab car, it is tough for drivers to get down the narrow street on which Baan Wanglang Riverside resides. Everyone who works at the hotel is helpful in navigating your arrival and departure from nearby locations so that car services can avoid the narrow drive.
The food is excellent. During the day the market in the vicinity of the hotel was a must see. The ferry is close by from where you can start your tour to see Bangkok.
It's not on the most convenient surrounding at that side of the river to go out at night. During the day its perfect for day trips because of the ferries nearby.
With a stay at Baan Wanglang Riverside in Bangkok (Bangkok Noi), you'll be steps from Bangkok Riverside and 11 minutes by foot from Grand Palace. Featured amenities include a computer station, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours).
