The actual car and process was a great experience. However, I have an issue with Ace Car Rentals overall. When I picked up my vehicle in Christchurch, I provided my Credit Card for a holding deposit, and to pay for an additional driver. This was the ONLY place that I used my Credit in Christchurch. However the next day I noticed 3 transactions on my Credit Card by UBER Eats Christchurch (totalling AUD $228.98), all processed at 3.47am the next morning. As I said, this was the ONLY place that my Credit Card was used in Christchurch. Therefore I can only assume that... a) The staff member who processed my pickup (and knew that I was from Australia, and that the car would be dropped off hundreds of kilometres away), used, or passed on my Card information to someone else, or... b) Someone was able to access ACE Rental systems. Based on this experience, I would be reluctant to recommend ACE Car Rentals to my family or friends.

Pick up in Picton was very disappointing. No service that met the InterIsland ferry schedule. We were not provided a service on the day and time for a rental pickup Very poor service not accomodating. Never heard or experienced a rental car depot that does not provide the vehicle key collection or wait in their office for their client. Very disappointed

Having elected airport pickup and drop off I expected just that. The bus collection system was ok but a little inconvenient. The return was impossible because flight was at 6 and returns were not open at that time. Their solution was that I return the previous day before 5pm. So it cost me inconvenience and two taxi trips. Apex said they are Avis and budget begging the question why we could not drop at the airport in the am. Will avoid in future. Regards Rob

I am absolutely appalled by the service we received from Hertz at Brisbane Airport. Our wait time was longer than our flight over from New Zealand! There was a genuine lack of care from the single staff member on duty, whose incompetence and inability to use the rental system caused a significant delay. This resulted in us missing our family dinner, and the staff member showed zero empathy towards our situation. Despite escalating the issue to Hertz on social media privately while standing in the queue one week ago, we have yet to receive any response. This level of customer service is unacceptable and disgraceful. I would strongly advise anyone considering Hertz to look elsewhere to avoid a similarly dreadful experience. Appalling!

The car was Matsuda’s CX-3 and I loved it. The key is automatically locked after leaving the car, the engine starts by only pushing the button, and it is fuel efficient. And above all, I could rent the car with no unnecessary options like insurance and road assistance, which I have never used in my life (Most shops silently add those options and it is really hard to cancel them for foreign travers who have no phone number in the country like me)

The staff at Jucy Melbourne airport were fabulous. We shared some laughs and easy conversations with Charlie who picked us up and dropped us back to the airport. The reception was also pleasant although the office could use a good clean it didn't impact the customer service. The car itself was mediocre but it was clean and did the job!

Fantastic service and vehicle for the price. Unfortunate location being not at the airport and difficult to schedule a shuttle bus if flying in from overseas and you do not have a mobile number.

I was left to stay out on cold evening without being picked up from the stated spot at the airport for more than an hour. No body showed up and I had to use taxi to move myself and wife to hotel room and again being told to find my way to the car depot next morning when Icalledand no one showed remorse like how comes the customer has not picked the car and not even a phone call to check and yet communication between me and the answering machine can tell I was at the airport. Very poor customer service and I will not recommend your service to anyone because your service let me down as I was unable to participate in an event that we went for that evening and next day we were also late as if we didn't plan ourselves around the transportation means.
