Pros: The car was decent and in line with what was promised upon booking. Picking up the car was pretty painless except for finding the actual desk itself.
Cons: Upon arriving in the international airport, there is no clear signage that the rental car desk is in the domestic terminal and we had to lug all our luggage around trying to find it. Pick-up of rental car is a short walk from the terminal, however if you are trying to navigate this with a lot of luggage in the torrential rain, it is not a lot of fun as they are doing roadworks between the terminal and the rental car pick-up. The walkway is uncovered and not level for easy navigation with trolleys / luggage.

Too much paperwork required to rent from Thrifty.
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: I reserved my car with Thrifty at Glasgow Airport. However,, when I tried to decline the company's insurance and use the coverage on my credit card, they insisted on written proof of coverage. Who carries around something like that?! I offered the phone number to the credit card company but they declined to call. Never again.

Good value in Glasgow
Pros: Thrifty honored the voucher we were sent by email at exactly at the low rental rate quoted by our booking agency. The car was available on time and was larger than expected. Staff at Glasgow Airport were friendly and helpful. A minor mechanical issue with the car was fixed within a couple of hours by the AA and Thrifty even though we were on one of the western isles of Scotland at the time. Thrifty allowed a return of the car to Edinburgh for a very reasonable extra fee. The final rental bill was as expected, with deposits returned immediately.
