Lovely property in what appeared to be an elderly couple's home. A little tricky finding the entrance (building has a modern facade) but eventually I rang the right bell and the owner responded. She was very friendly and helpful. As a solo traveler, my room was up on top floor. Elevator worked fine. Bathroom en-suite - but toilet in hall around corner. I suppose that might bother someone else but there was nobody else around during my stay so it was not a problem. Clean room, hot water, heat OK, bed comfortable. I asked for the location of a local laundry as I was halfway through my two week trip - and the owner offered to do it for me free of charge. A light, but fresh breakfast was included, and served up on the top floor in a lovely room with an interesting view of the surrounding rooftops. She prepared the breakfast and her husband cleaned up - nice system. Property was a bit of a walk from the free shuttle bus stop coming from the train station. And given the cobblestone streets in Bruges, rolling my bag was a bit of a pain - but I made it OK.
As mentioned. maybe a bit of a walk from bus stop - but Bruges is so beautiful, walking around is part of the experience.
Very attentive host, great location, delicious breakfast and more, all this for a convenient price.
The most comfortable bed I have ever slept in! Delicious breakfasts. Nothing was too much trouble. The host went out of their way to satisfy all my needs and the welcome was warm and friendly in every way
