Pros (+) It was close to the airport.
Cons (-) This place was $50 a night for a hard bed, no air conditioning, thin walls and a very sketchy neighborhood. They also charged us for the breakfast that was supposed to be free, charged us USD for water in the room that has a price listed in Sols. Pros (+) I had to bridge some time with my family between flights in Lima but didn't have time (or need!) to go to the touristy places. For that, Padama is an excellent choice: Very friendly and helpful staff, safe place inside, excellent rooms with everything one needs, nice beds, nice warm showers. Cons (-) Even though it is about 1km from airport, can't find a taxi taking you there below S/45. (Hotel helps with return to airport for S/30.) The neighborhood would look very poor by US-standards. It's probably working class people focused on raising their families and relatively save as that. Pros (+) I had an eleven hour layover at LIM airport and decided to stay at Padama. The shuttle service, $20 USD, was well worth the price for the convenience and stress free experience.
