7.1 Good
Pros: Loved the staff! All were very friendly and accommodating with loads of knowledge on where to eat and what to see. They were always around from making us the best coffee in the morning to baking the most delicious cakes. Simply the best! We also loved the location smack bang in the middle of Hvar surrounded by best restaurants and bars at our door step.
Cons: Facilities were outdated with poor air conditioning. Small rubbish bins were not sufficient for 6 adults and 2 kids. Lack of plates and glasses in the room meant we could not bring food and eat in.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The host, Ivanka collected us from the bus station (a short walk from the ferry port) when we arrived and also dropped us back when we were leaving. She gave us some wonderful tips for places to visit and eat (Mlini beach was our highlight). My fiance became I'll during our stay and Ivanka was very helpful. She even dropped us off at the doctor. The apartment is about a 10 minute walk from the town centre. I would definitely recommend staying here.

7.9 Good
Pros: The people were incredibly happy and friendly the nicest hostel type place i have been to with events planned every night. The private room and terrace were great.
Cons: The bed wasn't great and the shower ran really hot or really cold
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Staff were great! The girls on reception were so helpful and gave us loads of good tips on what to do while we were there! The terrace area is great for meeting others and the room had everything we could need plus a lovely balcony. We made very good use of the takeaway beneath the hostel which was delicious and even better since you got discount at reception! Would definitely stay here again and will recommend to everyone I know going to Hvar!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely amazing hostel! The staff was really helpful, the room was clean and the atmosphere was friendly! Met a lot of new people and had an amazing stay. Everything was incredible :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fab room. Fab staff. Fab vibe. Absolutely loved our stay. Just a 10 min walk from town centre, such friendly and helpful staff too!
Cons: Shower curtain could have been a little cleaner.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The check-in process was excellent. Romana offered me some cold water(I needed it) after walking a little bit from the Hvar port and an ice cream. She explained me everything about Hvar(beaches, supermarkets, things to do). I really enjoyed my stay there, I hope to be back soon. Definitely a great experience in this hostel.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great hostel, had discounta for the food place next door. Good value for money. Excellent atmosphere at night. Pub crawl with Jay rocked. The Staff was the best.
Cons: It's not that close to the city center (15 minutes going up a few hills), but I'd say this is the only only downside to this hostel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The receptionist was SO incredibly helpful. She drew on the map of all the good places to eat, good places to hang out, how to get to the closest beach etc. Getting to the hostel from the pier was supposedly challenging but i didnt think the hill was that bad (took me around 15 minutes) but that's also because I dealt with worse hills right before the trip getting to another hostel, hahahah. They also greet you with water/soda and ice cream for hiking up there. Even if you got a taxi, i think it's only like 5 euros or so... so not bad. Also airconditioning and showers/toilets in the room which is awesome!
Cons: You have to ask the staff to adjust the air conditioning so you can't turn it off or on on your own.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The best hostel I’ve stayed at. Amazing staff, clean rooms with AC, next to the beach. Plenty of activities, amazing atmosphere! I will come back!

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was only average but adequate.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The resort is only a short walk from Hvar Town on a designated pathway along the water. It is a lovely walk and you can see all of the sailboats and catamarans docked for the evening. Going the other direction, hotel is just around the corner from the Hula Hula Bar which is the perfect place to watch the sunset! The breakfast had a great selection and we never had an issue finding a place to sit. Pool was not heated so you needed to be a bit brave to make the initial wade in. Room was comfortable and sea view was very nice to look at each morning.
Cons: The resort itself is starting to become slightly worn down. This is most evident in the dining room for breakfast. It is definitely lovely but they will need to make updates in the coming years to keep their 4 star status. Service around the pool area is very slow.
7.9 Good
Pros: Everything else, great value for money incredibly attentive staff, location was good too
Cons: The fact that we didn't have hot water for over five hours and that they blocked out room key while we were waiting for them to fix the hot water...they had three different people coming into our room, we had to ask four times to fix the water before they believed there really was an issue.
6.7 Good
Pros: breakfast live cooking
Cons: Wifi did not work on Apple Mac
6.3 Good
Pros: I liked the location and the ocean view.
Cons: The rooms are a bit small. Also my room had some problems: first the lights didn't work, then a problem with air conditioner. The water of the tub and lavatories filled up when you used it. It's a nice hotel but needs to be restored in some issues.
5.1 Okay
Pros: This is a tough review. I am not even sure where to begin. We showed up early and the staff said in 20 minutes our room would be ready and then 3 hours later, it still wasn’t ready. I went to conceirge and asked to set up a massage for my wife’s birthday and they handed me the phone and asked me to do it. Awkward. We had two adults and two kids. The soap was replaced every other day. So the kids take a bath and use both soaps. Then we shower. Soap is gone. Awkward. The staff seemed overworked. But the staff was nice.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: excellent breakfast, lotsof choices
Cons: The shower in the bathrooroom leaked a lot, we paid a ,ot of money for 3 night so would've expected everything to be working properly
7.5 Good
Pros: The beach club below the property was very nice and the pool
Cons: The rooms were small and our room very close to the reception / bar area with a ground floor view at the entrance - we asked for another room but it was not possible - we got a voucher for the beach club which we were happy about as it was regardless nicer than just spending time in any room

5.0 Okay
Pros: Basic.
Cons: On the second day half of the offering was missing (coffee, sugar...)
6.3 Good
Pros: Friendly staff and good location. Spacious apartment.
Cons: Parking wasn't very organized. Bathroom could be better.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff were really helpful and friendly. They quickly sorted out a packed breakfast for us when we decided to take early ferry. They pointed out excellent local restaurants and beaches. Easy, very pleasant and safe 20 min walk down steps to promenade and into town. View from bedroom/balcony over sea stunning. Supermarket 2 mins walk away. Free parking available. 24 hour front desk coverage. Breakfast was good and young lady in charge very obliging re cooked food but see comments above as to how the buffet might be improved.
Cons: No hanging space in bedroom. Would have been nice to have tea/coffee making facilities and a safe. Breakfast would have benefited from more variety of prepared fruit in addition to the apples, bananas and oranges. Also some herbal teas.
Hotel Podstine - Hvar - Bedroom
9
8.4 Excellent (447 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Podstine Hotel in Hvar, you'll be on the waterfront, within a 5-minute drive of Hvar Fortress and Franciscan Monastery and Heritage Museum. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was serene this time of year. Right on the water watched the boats go by. Beautiful waterfront location about 20 minute walk from the old town. Away from the crowds and noise. Has a nice restaurant on site and all of the staff was very helpful. Good breakfast included every day. Drinks and food served by the water. Rooms very functional. We had a sea view which is worth the bit extra. This is a great value. In the states this facility would be 600-700 dollars per night for a similar quality and location and sea view
Cons: Not set up for anyone with inability to climb stairs or need to use stroller if you want to use the beach area. Not a great setup for really young children to use water. But fine for those that are a bit older
6.3 Good
Pros: Good location and beach area. Good service from reception staff and open 24/7.
Cons: For a 4* hotel there were many things that were not up to standard. The beach towels are in dire need to replacement as they are falling apart and had holes in them. There are many scuffs on the walls in the corridors - the building could definitely benefit with redecoration. Very basic room facilities.
6.3 Good
Pros: the girls on reception were very helpful and professional
Cons: the "piped music" - recorded piano music played everywhere and very intrusive at mealtimes and even from our balcony
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved being right on the ocean and still being able to walk into HVAr. Would recommend doing the half board for dinner and ask for room 308. Beautiful view. Would definitely do Illario Tours for the caves and Islands
Cons: Loved it all
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! Loved Lily and Namo, breakfast companions. Staff all very relaxed, friendly and helpful.
Cons: Leaving.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent staff service. All staff were helpful, informative and friendly. The atmosphere in the hotel was extremely relaxing.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is a little gem on what is a beautiful island. The staff (except one member - not sure what I did to him) was very friendly and helpful. Terraces and beach are laid out in a very attractive way. Important in this day and age: enough sockets in room for phones, laptops etc ... Only had dinner once at the hotel, but that was very tasty. Also very good: choice of juices and smoothies
Cons: Not much. Maybe only the fact that most items at breakfast are pre-packed. The hotel is outside of the city of Hvar (about a 10 - 15 min walk), but not that easy to find at first. If you want to be in the hustle and bustle of the city: go somewhere else. But this hotel combines the best of both worlds: calm and still not far away from the vibes of the city. One thing: the bathrooms could do with some renovation (though everything works perfectly ... they - or at least mine - look a bit rundown).
Guest House Kuzmanic - Hvar - Bedroom
10
8.5 Excellent (28 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Guest House Kuzmanic is set 250 metres from the nearest beach and 1 km from the centre of Hvar. It offers free WI-Fi, free parking and accommodation units with a terrace or a balcony. All accommodation units have a fully equipped kitchen and a private bathroom with a shower or a bathtub. Most of the units have a sea view. The nearest grocery shop is 100 metres away, while restaurants serving local and international dishes are within 200 metres. Various adventure tours and boat trips can be organised in the vicinity. Hvar is known for the oldest town theatre in Europe. The Španjola Fortress is 3 km away, while a Napoleonic fort and Hvar Observatory are at a distance of 7 km. Hvar Port with catamaran lines to Split is 1 km away. Hvar Bus Station is at a distance of 2 km. Stari Grad and its Ferry Port are 20 km from the Kuzmanic Guest House.
6.7 Good
Pros: The location was great because it was close to the city highlights. It had 3 studio apartments which were perfect for the 3 couples traveling together.
Cons: It was listed as partial sea view but the partial was through a small slat in the bathroom so the advertising wasn't quite honest. The host didn't speak good English. There was no washing machine. It wasn't clear that we had to pay cash as all our other bookings received our visa without problem so it was a bit of a scramble to get the cash. He expected us to surrender our passports which also caught us by surprise because no other housing hosts requested that. As an international traveler I didn't feel comfortable surrendering my passport and letting him just take it. We just wrote our numbers on a paper for him.
6.0 Good
Pros: The host was friendly and helpful.
Cons: For a hotel to be CASH only in this day and age is crazy. A lot of travelers want to hold onto their cash as there is a fee for withdrawal.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The apartment was really cozy, the owners are an elderly couple very friendly and cute. They do not speak e flush very well but we managed to get a conversation. He also helped me getting an extra key for my friend. The place is near to the port of Hvar but it is like a 12 minute walking. Anyhow, there aren’t any stairs, so it is easy to get there if you do not have too much luggage. There is a small market close to the apartment. I totally recommend this place.
Cons: The WiFi signal was low but this was not a problem. The place does not have hairdryer.
7.5 Good
Pros: Familiar atmosphere Nice location not far from beach and city center Quiet Nice balcony Supermarket 100m away
Cons: Very hot / Not the best Aircondition I wanted to stay one night more but booking didnt work
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Where to start? Ideal for budget travellers, clean, great hosts, good location. We had a spacious terrace. Piping hot water & great pressure in the shower. Comfy beds. These are perhaps the most important things to budget travellers. The hosts were the loveliest couple ever. Leaving beers & water as a welcoming gift. The apartment & terrace was spotless. They even did our washing up one day. And gave us a bag of free figs on another. Plentiful supply of fresh clean towels. If we lacked something in the kitchen it was supplied eg bottle opener, wine glasses, even a special cute saucepan for boiling water for my coffee. As most people eat out on holiday, we found the kitchen perfect for our needs...simple pasta dishes, making sandwiches etc. The location was perfect for us. Local supermarket 2 minute walk & had plenty of food choices. We could easily walk to local waterfront bars & restaurants within 5 minutes. While property half-way up a hill, it’s not a steep one. The beach we loved was a 15 minute simple walk. A shallow, pebble bay with 2 beach bars, sun beds for hire (£10 each & an parasol was £8) << expensive we thought...but we like comfort so spent over £100 on sun beds during our short visit.
Cons: Nothing.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous location. Beautiful views. Lovely staff. And elevator to top floor-Not always a given in an older property.
Cons: Food was excellent but somewhat annoying that meal times were so restricted and that so much on the menu was unavailable at the time.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: There was a choice of continental or English breakfast. Lovely coffee.
Cons: There wasn't anything I didn't like.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Best breakfast ever for a hotel with complimentary breakfast
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Close to the beach, most staff were lovely, pretty hotel, good breakfast.
Cons: There were two women at reception, Matilda and another woman whose name I did not get (older woman with blonde hair) who were not friendly or helpful. A young man at the desk and the young woman who worked the kitchen at breakfast were fabulous.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Environment, equipments, close to the city, but in a very quiet place, food is also good. parking place
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location was great, only a 15 min walk along the water to center. Bed was comfortable, staff was extremely friendly. I would recommend staying here when staying in hvar.
Cons: N/A
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was massive lots of space for the 4 of us with massive terrace View was amazing & beach right on doorstep Hotel was quiet with not many people eating or drinking there Staff were very helpful & friendly would definitely return
Cons: Breakfast was ok it wasn’t replenished as quickly as it could’ve been but food was ok with plenty of choice
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We chose the meal option - dinner included. Delicious!! Small beach at the foot of the stairs & only 1km walk along the nicely paved esplanade to Hvar port
Cons: Bathroom very small - especially shower
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean room. Breakfast was good but they often ran out of things and you had to wait a while for them to be replenished. About 10 -15 minute walk to Hvar centre
Guesthouse Curin - Hvar - Building
12
7.1 Good (73 reviews)
Overview Reviews
This guest house offers affordable accommodation with free Wi-Fi access and satellite TV. Located in Hvar, it is 150 metres away from the town beach. Fitted with simplistic furnishings, Guesthouse Curin offers apartments and rooms of varying sizes. All units are air-conditioned and have an en suite bathroom. Most rooms have their own private balconies or terrace. Rooms on the top floor share a large balcony. The apartments have fully equipped kitchen and a washing machine. Guesthouse Curin is less than 5 minutes’ drive away from Cathedral Piazza. It is less than 10 minutes’ walk to the coastline.
6.3 Good
Pros: The beds and ventilator
Cons: The bathroom was not so clean and the kitchen has any Salt, zucker or coffee and normally in every hotel or acomodation the kitchen has the basic things to cook .
7.5 Good
Pros: The conditions of the house weren’t bad at all, like some comments say. The beds were clean, the kitchen had a new oven and stove and the WiFi was pretty good. The place isn’t that easy to get to, because you have to climb a small hill, but it is basically like that for every hostel in the town. Only the expensive hotels are by the marine. You are 5 min away from the hula hula and just 1 min away from a supermarket, which is actually really good.
Cons: The water got cold after the second bath (we were three). We had a triple room and there were three different beds, all different and better than the other. A small warning for people who go there for less than four days, you will have to pay for air conditioning. We were there for 6 days, so didn’t have to deal with this issue.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Not much but the air con was a bonus.
Cons: The double bed was broken on one side so had to squeeze 2 people on one side of the bed. It was about a 10 minute walk to the beach & not beach front/beachside as advertised. Had to pay a "tourist tax" when we arrived which wasn't advertised. We didn't feel welcome on arrival, almost as if we were a hassle to be there.
3.3 Mediocre
Cons: Not worth it for the money spent!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very good location near the best beaches, yet close to the center. Nice owners providing all information.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good location: Supermarket nearby, 5 min walk from many smaller rocky beaches, 35 min walk from Pokonji dol beach. Apartment is on a hill, like most of the accommodation in Hvar so that’s not a problem - walk is not far from the pier and all the night life in Hvar! Facilities: We were given fans for each room as well as free use of the A/C as there were 10 of us for 3 days - so the rooms were a nice break from the hot Hvar summer. Two of the three rooms had a mini fridge, and one had a kitchen with larger fridge inside. Nice clean, comfortable beds. Towels provided. Around 10 routers scattered around the apartment block, so internet was good (but definitely worth logging into multiple as signal for some are very weak in certain rooms). Staff: We were provided with information about the area and connections for renting boats to drive out to the nearby islands - highly recommend this. Staff are always online to reply to your questions when needed by messaging through booking.com. Overall, great stay well worth the cost!
Cons: Facilities: As there was a large group of 10, when we used all three showers on the bottom floor simultaneously, the water pressure fell and there was only cold water. However, after waiting for a while - the hot water returned so it wasn’t too much of a problem.

2.5 Mediocre
Pros: It was nothing like what we booked online.
Cons: It was dirty, and smelt like cigarettes and our room was shocking
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is great and so is the breakfast.
Cons: The rooms are dated.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely room - comfortable quiet - great breakfast- lots of choices- loved the pool
Cons: Would have been nice to know that the bags could be picked up from the ferry in advance - bit of a hike with all the luggage
7.5 Good
Pros: Location is amazing in the Harbour.
Cons: The rooms are very dated and poor , the carpets in the hotel and room are externally poor, stains top to bottom, bathrooms needs updating, but this really is only a reflected the low price in a fantastic location. If the just put a new carpet in hotel and painted the walls is would make a massive difference. Staff where very helpful.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Nothing other than location
Cons: Everything other than location
7.1 Good
Pros: The 24/7 Reception is great!

Pros: Beautiful 14th century palace that is now a hotel. Our room was extremely large and comfortable. The staff was very helpful and gave us perfect suggestions about the community, activities and history. They could not do enough for us. The breakfast was much more than anticipated with delicious healthy foods. We would recommend this hotel to anyone seeking accommodations in Hvar.

Pros: Everything in this place was absolutely perfect. The location, the building, every little part from the room to the bathroom, the food and, most of all, the most friendly and charming staff I’ve seen in a while ! Thank you so much, the stay was great !
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Don't look at reviews prior to September 2019. They remodeled and relaunched this hotel in the last month and it is fantastic! The location is prime. The rooms are great. We stayed in a Penthouse suite (very reasonably priced for the location) and it was just terrific. The balcony was great. Very nice touches everywhere. Restaurant next door has live music every night and it is great.

Pros: Fabulous luxury with stunning views and fantastic facilities and service!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff, fantastic facilities, amazing location and delicious breakfasts! We visited for a few days after our wedding and it was the perfect place to relax, while also feeling like you were experiencing something special. For example, every evening there was a little treat left in our room after we returned from dinner. One night it was chocolates, another night it was cookies. Hvar itself is incredible. Immaculately tidy and beautiful streets. Loads of great places to eat and drink - genuinely spoilt for choice.
Cons: We were on the 5th floor (very few rooms - mostly roof space) and there was quite a loud buzz coming from the roof opposite. It woke us up a few times.

7.5 Good
Pros: Nice, clean and modern rooms, and we were even upgraded to a room with a sea view which was beautiful! We had issues with our keycards not working, and staff were friendly and attended to it quickly. Breakfast had a nice spread. Walking distance to the old town.
Cons: Instead of a double bed we had two single beds put together, which was really not comfortable! 10-15min uphill walk from the port, was not easy with luggage!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Brand New Hotel with Good facilities
Cons: The Drinks were very expensive and cocktails were not very good
6.3 Good
Pros: Location on the top of the hill. Decor. Friendly staff. Pool was nice and not too busy.
Cons: The room doors are not sound proof. It was one of the noisiest hotels I have ever stayed in. Late at night - noise as people are coming back and early morning (before 8) noise of guests leaving to breakfast and housekeeping cleaning corridors and rooms.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Pool was great
Cons: Breakfast wasn’t the best
6.2 Good
Pros: Good staff, decent rooms, great location. Really affordable - ask for a fan if you are too hot.
Cons: Just note you have to walk up stairs to get to and from the center of town easily. You can get there by car if you have issues walking.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The rooms were clean and modern.
Cons: We got off at the port and it was a long walk with bags to the hotel without a proper path. We had to take the steps up the hill with our bags which was a struggle. When we called the hotel to assist with the bags we were told there was no assistance available and we had to manage on our own. The rooms have interconnecting doors with little sound proofing and we had noisy neighbors who would be up till 4am each morning.
4.6 Okay
Pros: Same hotel chain as previous hotel.
Cons: Room was tiny, breakfast average, early checkin we arranged was not ready.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Simple but vibrant hotel with a funky design. Beds are comfortabe, breakfasts are good. The location is up the hill but manageable. Staff is very attentive and polite.
Cons: N/A
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Bed was very comfortable, close to Hvar town and Amfora beach, 5 mins walk each way.
Cons: Rooms are a little on the small side
Riva Hvar Yacht Harbour Hotel - Hvar - Building

8.3 Excellent (915 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Riva Hvar Yacht Harbour Hotel in Hvar (Hvar Old Town), you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Hvar Fortress and Port of Hvar. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours).
6.3 Good
Pros: the location is prime in Hvar and the view is great.
Cons: We had left a "please make up the room sign on the door" when we left around lunch time and upon return the room had not been made up. This kind of stuff can happen and when I called reception to ask if we could get the room made up, the staff were very unfriendly and started debating this ask with me. This place advertises itself as a prime hotel in Hvar, but I am afraid the service was not what I expected. The breakfast was mediocre and it did not meet my expectations for the price paid. The room was very small in comparison to other places we visited on our trip. I would probably not stay here again, as I am sure there are more affordable places with better service to be found on this wonderful island.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We got a free upgrade to a seaview room and complimentary prosecco. The place had quirky designs and it was very convenient as the ferry stopped right in front of the hotel! The breakfast had a wide spread of food including grilled vegetables, cake and sparkling wine.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: A fantastic location. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast had a big selection of different options. A great spot to grab a drink and watch the world go by.
Cons: It would be great to have some rooms available as Share Twin options. With some of our group traveling as individuals it made the stay quite expensive as a single occupier.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The free Prosecco in the room was a nice touch and glad to see that the bed was not two single beds pushed together. The guy in the front desk did recommend a great restaurant called Black Pepper.
Cons: The bedroom was way smaller then what the pictures let on. No Iron available from reception. When i asked for one i was told it burnt out a few weeks - asked did they ever think to replace it and got no response.
6.7 Good
Pros: Good for if you’re getting a ferry...jump straight off and into the hotel
Cons: Breakfast was really average, pasta house was closed all of the time, the hotel booked the hotels outside bar out to a private party so we were asked to move seats, probably wouldn’t stay here again.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: We loved the location and the modernness of the hotel. The room was small and interesting with a glass toilet door but we loved the uniqueness!! We received chocolates and champagne our first night and enjoyed having access to the pool of thier sister hotel. Would recommend to any friends staying in Hvar.
Cons: Pillows could be better.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The front desk attendant (Marina) went above and beyond our expectations! She was incredibly nice and friendly. We also had a small issue with having a package of medication for one in our group delivered to Hvar island. She went over the top to ensure we got everything straightened out with it! Her hospitality was a 10/10!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect right by the harbour Staff v friendly and accommodating and breakfast nice too
