Pros. This hotel really is at the heart of the city. It is very convenient to get around if you are traveling for business or just want to stay in Uptown. The staff is very kind and frequently gave me suggestions and helped me arrange transportation at the last minute to the airport. My room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The rooftop pool was very nice.
Cons. The pool area was not cleaned as often as it should have been. Towels and wrappers were left for a few days on the tables and chairs. Because of the pandemic situation, they are only serving a few breakfast items at the cafe that were pricey for what you got. Parking is also $28 a day for guests.
Pros. The location was perfect. The front desk staff were friendly, considerate, and professional.
Cons. The room smelled horribly of smoke. I really should have changed rooms. I let the front desk staff know and they did offer for me to change rooms and I declined. The next day when we were getting our items together to leave we noticed cigarette ashes on the side of the bed close to the wall. My daughter looked under the bed near the ashes and saw rose petals. Clearly housekeeping missed this and it leads me to believe no one vacuumed the floor on that side of the bed. Knowing this doesn’t make me want to stay there again.
