Pros: Nice clean car. Fair price.
Cons: Rental agent was rude and unhelpful. Made to wait for a car in my rental category unless I was willing to pay for an upgrade. Changed my reservation to an earlier pickup time and "suddenly" cars in my category were available without upgrade fee. Seems she was just pressuring me into paying an upgrade. Next time in Daytona I'll stick with my usual National Car Rental...no hassle with them.

Pros: The car, very clean for a sandy environment. Fun to drive. Glad I got a Mazda 3 always wanted to try one. Very nice staff
Cons: I had a hard time finding it in the lot. It could always be cheaper too I guess.

Cons: I drove the car for 2 weeks at a great rate when on my reciet it said to extend would be 9.49 a day. They tried to triple my rate. I rent from Avis or budget 2-3 times a month and I feel that was just wrong. On top of that my car was not ready when needed they gave me an "upgrade" that broke down couple days in. I had to loose a day of work to go drive back and swap cars. I really hope this does something and not just an empty email..
Cons: was never told about a credit check, even when I called the week before to confirm our rental and told them we would be using a Visa Debt. card....they almost screwed our vacation with not renting us a car, thank god for Enterprise bailing us out and renting us a car on the spot....I guess Dollar only wants to rent to people who have lots of money, what our credit score is has nothing to do with renting a car, we only wanted to rent it not buy the dam car...bye the way we have rented from Dollar before, that's why we came back to them, well never again for me or my Family & friends, I tell everyone I know to go to ENTERPRISE and have 2 people change there rentals to enterprise already...So thanks Dollar for NOTHING!!!!!! and your counter people are very rude and when she was getting smart with us and told us that there paper work has there credit check printed on it ...showed her our paper and even she couldn't find it printed anywhere she dismissed us and turned us over to her supervisor who couldn't find it but still did nothing to help us.....so my rating would be ( 0 ) bye the way enterprise was a much cheaper rental see you on YELP

Pros: The car was clean. The pick up was effortless.
Cons: There was nothing I didn't like, except there were scratched on the car when I picked it up and there was no one there to acknowledge it before I left.

Surprises at drop off
Pros: Great rate. Clean car with low mileage
Cons: I extended my rental by a day. The total price then became $89. When I dropped the car off, the customer service agent Told me I owed them $250. It took me an hour to straighten that mess out.

Dollar in Daytona
Pros: The car was ready and clean. Upgraded with no problems. Return was easy and the counter staff was very good.
Pros: The car was to be picked up at noon, but my plane came in later at 1:15. I did not get a car until 2:30 and that was not the small SUV I had reserved. I had to keep going up to the counter to ask why there was such a long wait. Finally I said I would take anything. The price was lowered for the poor and smaller replacement car, but I had to waste time negoitiating. Then it was not accurate in the receipt so I had to go back in to the agent. I did not leave DAB until 3PM. The agent at DAB feigned sweetness and patience but used subtle put downs in a negative effort to keep me from being annoyed. I will be sending a letter to the corporate officer describing the unpleasant experience. Thank goodness for the delightful Kevin at the Palm Coast location two days later.
Cons: Nothing was acceptable....! I will be writing a formal complaint to the corporate office after my vacation.
