Pros: Pleasant customer service at the counter and during return. The car was perfect for our family needs for driving and parking in Lisbon, as well as to several nearby destinations.
Cons: The name Ace doesn't appear at the rental car area at the Lisbon airport. It took several questions around the airport and a call to the number on our reservation to figure out the Goldcar rental handled the booking for Ace. After that it went smoothly.

Good luck finding Ace! Look for the long line!
Pros: Car was clean and ran well. Decent value for the money if you don't mind waiting in line instead of enjoying your vacation.
Cons: Ace rental car barely exists at the airport. Nobody in the airport knows where it is and it is not clearly marked in the area where all the rental car companies are located. I looked for 30 minutes and then called for another 30 minutes with no answer, but finally found it after asking several people. I was told to try Goldcar (sounds nothing like Ace) and there was a 6 inch sign on the counter that was blocked by the crowds of people waiting for their rentals. After getting a number, we still waited another 1 hour 20 minutes to get to the counter. By the time we were in our car, it was a 3 hour pick up. This took a good chunk of time out of our vacation day. Beyond frustrating!! All the confirmation had to say was, pick up at Goldcar. Simple solution that would avoid hours of frustration.

Cons: Force you to buy insurance even if your fully covered for rental both with auto insurance and credit card insurance. Then they say you're fully covered until you drive back and there is a spot on the seat they want to charge you for it

Horrible value for what we got - false advertizing and hidden costs
Pros: The car itself was fine.
Cons: The ACE rental car is very hard to find because it is gold car so that took us about a half hour. More so - we were supposed to pay $58.65 and we ended up paying $186 which is a crazy jump in price. This was a very rude awakening and they blamed it on required "added insurance" and extra fees. I feel very ripped off and was very unsatisfied because of it. If I were you I would make sure people know they will be paying 3 times the price that they booked it at.
Cons: Arrived 20 mins. before scheduled pick up and had to wait almost 2 hours to pick up the vehicle due to limited staff capacity at the desk

Toy car with 64k kilometers and smelling of a chai
Pros: The car did have a usb port and several somewhat newer technological features.
Cons: Strong smell of smoke.
Pretty beat up with the driver side mirror falling apart.
Car ran like a toy and felt like it was barely holding the road at times. Not surprising as it had over 60k kms on it.
Pros: Car was great! Clean and very modern with all the latest security features.
Cons: At the pick up station they didn't check the car for damage. The place was dark and I didn't realize that it had a huge scratch.
I had a hard time explaining the whole situation at the drop off location and had a lot of stress on my first vacation day due to that.
