The pickup and drops experience was terrible. This was clearly a scam company trying to squeeze every penny. I was charged extra because my deductible was “too high.“ The pickup experience took over an hour, employees were making up information and then backtracking, lying about information, wouldn’t disclose terms when explicitly asked, and pretended they couldn’t hear me when I challenged information. This was an awful experience.
This was an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience at the Orlando International Airport location. I prepaid for my rental and arrived after traveling with a child, expecting an efficient pickup. Instead, I waited in a long line only to be told at the counter that I would be required to purchase over $200 in additional liability insurance from the company. I explained that I carry active liability coverage under two personal auto policies, including one issued in Florida, and provided proof. Despite this, I was told my coverage was “not sufficient” and that the vehicle would not be released unless I purchased their policy. This requirement was not clearly disclosed at the time of booking. Presenting a mandatory $200 add-on at the counter — after a long wait and while traveling with a child — felt like an unfair and aggressive upsell tactic rather than a legitimate requirement. I declined and was left without the vehicle I had prepaid for, causing unnecessary stress and inconvenience. I am requesting a full refund and expect a response from management clarifying this policy and addressing this situation appropriately.
This is a predatory car rental business that adds many extra fees and a large hold on your credit card. There are several "different" car rental companies that all are the same parent company "NextCar." The car I received had several dents and scratches which I diligently took note of before I agreed to rent the car. After reading many many bad reviews, I warn others to stay away! The low price is merely a hook. You WILL pay much, much more. You are better off renting a car from a rental at the airport.
Worst rental experience ever. Waited over 45 minutes at designated shuttle pickup location outside terminal as noted in recorded directions, which said shuttle arrives every 15 minutes. Unable to reach live representative when tried to reach company on phone. Never saw Zoom branded shuttle thus had to pivot to different rental provider due to spouse losing their patience and two young kids growing incredibly impatient. Zoom Rent A Car or whomever the subsidiary operates under should be banned or revoked further listing on Kayak. Was unable to reach representative at any point.
Unorganized. Did not feel like a legitimate business. Unexpected last minute fees. Every major rental company has taken my USAA insurance, Zoom, which I've never heard till now, didn't take my insurance and wanted me to get their insurance. I went with another rental company...guess what? No issues what's so ever, and my insurance was just fine...
Rent a car on line $15 per day . The car rental add insurance $50 per day and they try to drain all your money. For 7 days rental cost me $736.77 per day $106. They didn’t explain and charge you from your credit card. I booked through Kayak company and end up getting a zoom car rental .Throughly scammed me. I hope everyone see this review.
