Cons: I placed a complaint with Hertz and they were very inconsiderate. The location I picked the car was hostile and awful to say the least.
I sent Hertz pictures and entire communication.

Poor customer service.
Pros: The car we rented was clean and comfortable.
Cons: We arrived late, they had given away our car and forced us to upgrade at additional cost. They said it was required by the policy to release a reservation if we were over two hours late. However, in all our communications we could not find this policy, nor could the agent.
We tried to return the car early but they said there was no early drop-off box at our location, however, four of us saw the drop off box. This forced us to return it to another location far out of our way which also incurred an additional fee.
In the fine print, they had hidden multiple excessive fees; a fee to return the car early, a fee if we did not notify them within 24 hours that we were returning it early, a fee to return it to another location, as well as the original increase in price when they gave away our reserved car and forced us to upgrade.
When we called to notify them of our early return, using the only customer service number on the papers they gave us, the number sent us to Dollar instead of to Hertz. They tried to transfer us and hung up on us twice. Eventually, we had to dig on the internet to find another number, but the people we talked to at Hertz were no more helpful than those at Dollar.
In all the people we talked to in person and on the phone, none of them attempted to resolve our issue or find alternative solutions to our difficulties. They were only interested in using policies to dismiss themselves of responsibility for the issue. If customer service is about trying to help the customer, we received none, only fees, upcharges, inconvenience, and dismissal.

Pros: The price
Cons: That i absolutely got what i paid! This car smelles like something died in it! It was covered in stains! It didn't even have cruise contol or a decent radio.

Lost hours of our vacation because the Car locked
Pros: Only thing we liked was that hertz had a mini van to rent
Cons: Only one person working the location. Took over an hour to rent and over 30 min to drop off. The car was nasty so I had to clean it before we even used it. During out vacation the car locked us out in a parking lot when it was over 100 degrees. Took about 4 hours before finally a tow truck driver broke into the car. He even said he has never heard of the key also not working. I should say we had the key fab. So when we took the key out and put it in the door it also didn't work. We have tried calling the regional manager of Downers Grove and he won't call us back. When we talked to him the second time he forgot who we were. I would never rent from this company again. Such poor service for using hertz the first time.
Nonexistent service. These people are not business
Cons: The office is shabby. Not professional.
Not welcoming. I was left alone in the lobby endlessly while the lady who's supposed to provide service was on her cell phone in her office.
I just couldn't wait any longer.
This was a waste of my time.

Cons: The drop off was confusing they had gone out to lunch but it was already past the time on the door that they said they'd be back and there was no drop box for the keys. luckily the man there was nice and didn't cause a fuss when i returned the keys later on.
Cons: The radio was fuzzy, which sucked because I rented the car for a short road trip and was unable to listen to music. The inside of the car was dirty. Worst of all, the outlet for my car-phone charger was broken. I was worried that my phone would die while i had my GPS running. If I had known the charger port was not working, I would not have rented this car.
