Cons: It started when I arrived at the Enterprise office. Their computer system was down so I had to wait. To top it off, the car smelled like cigarette smoke and the visor on the driver side was broken. Not a good thing in the Sunshine State. I would not recommend this company for car rentals. In addition, when I returned the car, they didn't even ask if everything was Ok with the car.

Pros: The car was ready and available
Cons: I had to force myself to pick a return flight due to my picking up the car in Punta Gorda off site from the Airport, via Taxi for $20.00 in spite of Enterprise signage. As I figured out, Enterprise has not the "Insurance" "Permission" to be present at the Punta Gorda Airport.
I was summarily denied picking up my reserved vehicle set for dropping off at RSW., because I had "NO RETURN FLIGHT TICKET" to Minneapolis. Had to do return flight reservations on the spot, on my phone & go thru the hassle of getting a return flight confirmation sent to my e-mail account ... which i had to log into on their computer ... so the Punta agent could confirm my travel intentions and release the vehicle. Sorry guys, MY Reservation stated that I was going to drop it off at RSW. Was forced to shorten my stay. Was fully prepared & willing to extend the Rental a few days further. Was in town shopping for a home, had no definitive plan about the return flight. So much for a Speedy Check In - 1+ Hr expended.

Punta Gorda GL experience
Pros: Supposedly they are not charging me to drop off at airport... I hope that is true. We dropped off EARLY as our flight left at 6:30 a.m. Their office is not “open” that early but it was really nice that they had staff out on the lot to help with drop off. Drop off went very smoothly.
Car was great.
Cons: I messed up and accidentally rented off airport. Their contracts say they can’t come onto a “competitors” turf, so they would not bring our car to us... isn’t that what Enterprise is all about? So we took a cab to the rental location. They added about $150 to our credit card for “incidentals” that SUPPOSEDLY will “fall off” of our credit card if no incurred. We shall see... I’m waiting for next credit card bill to double check. We had to wait a LONG time at rental office to get our car.

Enterprise is NOT located at the Airport
Pros: Car started every time.
Cons: I wasn't aware the car rental location wasn't at the Punta Gorda airport. I arrived only to find this fact out and take a $25 taxi ride 3.8 miles away.
At drop off...with a 6:30AM Flight.....I was assured (before I finalized rental of vehicle) Uber was always in the area even at 5 AM. At 5 AM, I drove rental car to Enterprise....no Uber and no way to get back to the airport.....had to return car to airport and am waiting to see if I will be charged an additional fee.

Pros: This rental was about half the cost of other rental companies in the area. They called the day before my rental to confirm all the details.

Cons: What I booked was a car to be picked up at the airport. After I stood in line for awhile I was told that the car I rented was located a few miles away.
The Enterprize manager at the airport was very kind and said he would have honored the order except he was out of cars. He had one of his guys drive us to the other location and once we got there it went very smoothly

Pros: the folks in Englewood
Cons: the fact that my pick up location was NOT the airport as the site suggested. when I arrived there were no cars and I had to uber my family 30 mi. to our destination. we were without a car until Monday as Enterprise was closed Sunday. Epic fail

Cons: the location of the vehicle pick up was unclear... cost another $20 to get a taxi to go to an off site location.. no doubt i failed to read carefully ...
Cons: We weren't told that there was an additional fee of $18.00 per day in advance for an additional driver. W should of been told that upfront!!

Not the best experience.
Cons: Car only had 3/8 tank of gas upon pickup invoice said it was full. No washer fluid in wiper fluid in front windshield. Car reeked of smoke.

Not sure what was Ray's problem?
Pros: The price for a day rental from Hertz is awesome. March 9th was my second time in a week to rent from Hertz and Mark helped me immensely my first time. He even offered to drive me to my bank when I realized Hertz requires a $200 authorization on my debit card as apposed to the $100 I was used to renting from Avis.
Cons: This second time renting from Hertz I had Ray "help" me.
He explained he was doing me a favor allowing me to rent that day because I didn't include my AAA number when I booked on-line. When I questioned why it hadn't been a problem the week before, he condescended that I really needed to read the details.
Ray then questioned why I had insurance when I didn't have a car. I explained I had never dropped it when I moved to Chicago three years ago and now that I'm back it was quite convenient that I still had it. He continued to opine that he could't see why someone would do that.
My final complaint is seeing that Ray added an hour to my rental instead of moving the pick up and drop off time as I had asked. I arrived at 9 AM instead of my 10 AM pick up time and asked if my drop off could be adjusted earlier as well. Ray explained he would adjust the time, which he did, but only the pick up.
I dropped the car off before 9 AM on my drop off date, have been charged an extra hour, and 5 days later the authorization amount still hasn't been credited to my account.
Pros: friendly fast check in , easy drop off at airport, nice car,good value

Cons: Reserved a car for one day with afternoon pick up so I could start my journey before dawn the next morning, the day of the return. But, with the change from Winter to Summer time, I arrived to a locked up office just a few minutes after 6. Sure would have appreciated a reminder call which never came...

Pros: the car was fine
Cons: budget ripped us off on the gas!!! it was supposed to be full when we got it: it was not, only about 93%. we were in a hurry and thought it was "close enough" and they would not penalize us for a couple of drops. when we dropped off the car, I filled up exactly 16 miles from dropoff point. car was over 97% full. they charged us a $30 penalty. I didn't notice in the rush at the airport until I got my credit card bill. I feel like I was RIPPED OFF since I left more gas in than budget did for me. I suspect that they did the same to the previous person and then never filled up for us. first time in over 40 yrs of renting that this has happened. budget is not in our future!!!
