Cons: You should have told us before that Revolut and Maestro are not accepted, only Visa. Also we didnt know about the deposit and that the person who drives needs to be the holder of the card. It was a really stressful time picking up the car, we spend like 1H30

BewareCons: Staff didn't want to come and check car with me and expected me to sign for car without it being checked together when I collected it, there was no one to accept car back, we had car cleaned just before dropping it off in airport car park to be sure there was no damage at 5am, sixt staff turned up to work at 8am and emailed me tell me that car has a scratch down the side and they are going to bill me for it. Cannot believe any car hire company anywhere is run like this
One of the major advantages of renting a car in Wroclaw is that you aren’t constrained by the public transportation available in the city. Though the public transportation is widely available with multiple tram lines and numerous buses offered, it is often slower to take public transport than it is to drive yourself in Wroclaw. Groups and families especially benefit from renting a car, as it will be much easier to get around in a car than it would be to hop on and off the bus to get between your destinations.
Planning on picking up a hire car after landing in Wroclaw? Fortunately for potential renters, picking up your car is quick and easy at Copernicus Airport Wrocław. The hire car counters can be found in Arrivals Hall while the cars are just outside in an adjacent parking lot.
Trams are quite common throughout Wroclaw and drivers new to the city should take note of a few rules that regulate driving on roads with trams. First, you may drive on the tram tracks but as soon as a tram approaches, you must vacate the lane. Also, when passing a tram, you must pass it on the right and not the left. You also must yield to pedestrians boarding the tram even when it is in the middle of a green light.

What this means for drivers is that many of the streets are much better suited for smaller vehicles like sedans, compacts, and coupes than they are for large SUVs and trucks. Parking spaces, especially in the historical areas of town, may also be a little too small for such large vehicles.
