10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location, really peaceful yet convenient to all local attractions
5.0 Okay
Cons: The hosts were not friendly at all. We were given one slice of toast and one slice of brown bread between us and when we asked for more we got a half a slice. each. This was especially annoying as we had booked a family room and only two of us were eating so there was no need to be mean with our breakfast. We felt very unwelcome in the breakfast room especially when Eithne started sweeping up when we were still eating. Breakfast also finished at 9.30 which was very early and checkout was at 11. Eithne also made sure to remind us of this.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful views and definitely worth being a little further out for it
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice B&B on our trip. The room was okay. Nothing really special. The homemade marmalade for breakfast was very delicious. You can get discounted tickets for the Abby here.
Cons: No litter within the room. Only a small one within the bathroom. No coat hook within the room or bathroom. We're traveling with the motorbike so it's very helpful if you can hanging up your wet clothes.

Pros: 1. Excellent breakfast 2. Friendly and helpful hostess
9.6 Excellent
Pros: At our first day we arrived a little bit too early as the check-in time but our hosts Sue and John has received us very warm and nice. We stayed for 3 nights and had a wonderful time in Clifden. The breakfast was very good and fresh cooked. You can choose every morning from the menu card (Sue's homemade Pancakes were soo delicious!). There is a choice of the "normal Irish breakfast" to freshly caught fish from John (he is also a fisherman). At any time Sue was always helpful and open for a spontaneous small talk - for us it was a very stressless atmosphere in this house :) Our room was big and modern (my wife loved the extra soft sheets) with a view to the lake. The location is perfect. Clifden is a little and nice city with good restaurants, pubs, supermarkets, petrol station, laundry - everything you need can be easily reached. You can visit fast a lot of beautiful hotspots and sightseeings around Clifton, e.g. Kylemore Abbey, Sky Road, Diamond Hill, Connemara National Park, Dogs Bay (very beautiful beach), Ashleigh Falls. All in all we had a very relaxing stay at Sharamore B&B, we like Sue & John and their cute 4 dogs and we can recommend the B&B to everyone who want to have a very personal contact with the hosts and with a good & easy connection to awesome spots of Ireland.

Pros: I had an amazing time at Dun Ri Guesthouse ! The owner is really nice and helpful, the rooms are charming, comfortable and very well furnished, it is located in a perfect area right in the center of Clifden and the breakfast options are fabulous. I did several hotels in Irlande but I have to say, this was the best. Dun Ri Guesthouse is a great place perfectly located to explore the Connemara and then rest your tired feet in a cosy room. All in all, it was splendid.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very good stay, very clean room, very good breakfast and very nice host. Only a few minutes walk to the towncentre, where you can listen to fantastic musicians playing lovely trad music. The only negative with this stay, was a terrible duvet. But it's not the first and only stay with a terrible duvet: It's mostly all over. Back home in Norway, most people use a very light down duvet, and it's heaven compare to this thick and heavy blanket which feels like a ton on the feet.
Cons: Terrible duvet.

Pros: Great breakfast, the salmon and eggs was tasty Nice reception area, with an open fireplace

Pros: Breakfast was a treat. Then after spending the day sight seeing, it was so nice coming back to relax in the lounge near the open fire, enjoying drinks and delicious food. The team are friendly and super helpful. It's not like staying at a hotel, it's like staying at your friend's spacious yet cozy house.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The personal feel of the stay, the food was incredible as we're the views and attention to detail of the hotel.
7.0 Good
Pros: Loved the location, beautiful views, rooms nice, lovely lounging areas like the reading room and plant filled room on the top floor. Bar area very comfortable with open fires and games to play. Loved how dog friendly it was, allowed to have evening meal in bar area with dogs, but not breakfast, they were fine in the room though while we had breakfast. Breakfast was very nice, I had mushrooms, tomatoes and avocado with toast and some cereal with oat milk.
Cons: There were some oddities, like the 2 staff on in the evening weren't talking to each other, so one would come over and take our drink order and let us know our dinner options, then another would come over and tell us it was a set menu and that he would show us upstairs when we wanted to eat, then the other staff member came back with our knives and forks and placemats, then the other one came back with drinks and was obviously annoyed that we had been given placings to eat where we were. Then the man on reception disregarded the booking.com prices and took more than we were quoted, stating that his room charges are what he charges not what booking.com charges, he said he doesn't fluctuate, and that your card let me take the money. Also there was a 20 euro charge per dog which was fine but we were not aware of this at the time of booking. Our evening meals were not good. The black bean pasta was in a sauce that was really horrible, overpowering taste of thyme, and just very unpleasant, I had the peppers stuffed with couscous, which had no flavour whatsoever, not seasoned at all, but this was preferable to the disgusting pasta.
9.6 Excellent

9.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was excellent! Hotel-like, very comfy bed, very clean and spacious bathroom, cozy room with kettle and tea in the room and cozy lighting. Noreen was very accommodating and makes sure everything is the way you like it. She even got out of her way up one morning to prepare an extra early breakfast since we had early plans that day, which was very much appreciated. They can prepare you almost anything for breakfast! Which we thought was very accommodating. Together with the buffet that is there, I'd say the breakfast is excellent. Only didn't realise we had to pay that on top of what we paid for booking the room. But we did that gladly. All in all, we'd definitely recommend it. Great, comfortable place to stay while enjoying the stunning surroundings and quaint village of Clifton.

Pros: In a great and quiet property, about 10 minutes walk from the center, I had a nice room with private bathroom and a very comfortable big bed. Service, friendliness and cleanliness are very important here and the breakfast, that you could choose from a menu with daily specials, was second to none. The Buttermilk Lodge is highly recommended, I'll be back! And Cathriona: Thanks for giving me a ride and - in doing so - preventing me from drinking too much! It was unexpected fun!
Cons: There is nothing to complain about...

Pros: Beautiful views and definitely worth being a little further out for it

Pros: Nice B&B on our trip. The room was okay. Nothing really special. The homemade marmalade for breakfast was very delicious. You can get discounted tickets for the Abby here.
Cons: No litter within the room. Only a small one within the bathroom. No coat hook within the room or bathroom. We're traveling with the motorbike so it's very helpful if you can hanging up your wet clothes.
