Just right for the
Super Friendly & Helpful Staff - Plus the front desk person remembered my name the Next Day. What a great way to feel valued as a guest, well done! Convenient Location, a block from the bus station was the best. From there I could drop my bags and hit the shops and sights, which started just one block away - Perfect! They have a sauna, pool table, library and other lounge in the basement. It wasn't well advertised, as everyone seemed to be on the main floor. Great security - Key cards for every floor and room.
Wi-Fi not available in all rooms, so they recommend all guests go to lobby to use wi-fi, which does bring a community feel, but still inconvenient not having it in all rooms. Breakfast could start a little earlier for travelers who have early morning flights or plans. Nightly movie advertised, but not available Sauna available for only 3 hours, 1 for females only, 1 coed, 1 for males only. It was a little uncomfortable having just one naked old man in the sauna when I arrived, so I turned around and left.
The best hostel in Ireland and more
The organization, staff, willingness to help, cleanliness, excellent
Hotel location close to city center + warm atmosphere
The big issue was the noise during evening and night as walls are not thick enough and some people made trouble resulting in a chaotic night.
Actually I was upgraded to Jacobs Hotel very clean and good comfort tv in room and shower very impressed with ,most definite will use again.
Not informed on time for breakfast,WE came down at 9 40 no brekkie.
Stuff
A man who slept downside snored loudly and no one in the room can sleep, and the odor filled the room. Noise which trains passed by happened all the time.
location , very near bus station
they took money from my credit card for the booking, and when I arrived took cash as well, and 1 week later still have not my refund, they should specify they withold money as a deposit as it is very difficult to get back quickly from bank
went for lads weekend, spot on everything was there, couldnt ask for more
nothing wrong with the place
It was clean and tidy, the staff were helpful, lots of information available about Dublin and Ireland in general, catered for all ages and had facilities not normally associated with a hostel (sauna). It was within easy walking distance of the city centre, had a bus station and tram stops just up the road and was good value for money.
staff was great,clean,ad good location
I honestly can't think of anything I liked about this place.
The showers were cold for 6 days straight. They were renovating the bathrooms on their floor so there were half the showers on the floor. The staff was cold and unhelpful. The renovation was very loud. Breakfast was toast.
It is clean, good budget, well located with good free services.
The staff is not particularly usefull and wellcoming, the room was not well furnished and quite small. A bit noisy some times.
I booked the double room and it was lovely. The room was clean and big, the beds were really comfortable. Our room wasn't on the side of the street, so that was nice too. The showers were recently renovated, and there was hot water.
It was sometimes a little bit noisy in the morning, because the walls weren't enough isolated.
