We were not called

We missed the flight due to not being called over the tannoy and the next flight was 710pm and was another £200, also it meant that we missed the show that we were booked in for as it was a birthday present for today. Our experience with Ryan Air was a nightmare! We liked nothing about the experience!!

We were charged for them to print our boarding passes. We were charged 50 pounds per person because we hadn't checked in online, despite our having done so. We had a change in plans so had to change our flight time after we had booked back in February. . Ryan Air charges more to rebook a flight than the initial cost of the booking, so we just bought another ticket. I will never book on this airline again.

Flights ended up being close to or more expensive because of baggage charges. Also, the length of the terminal to board downstairs off the tarmac is ridiculous for an older couple such as we are. The only good thing was (a) a polite airport employee who got us a wheelchair; (b) a second boarding door for rear section seats.

Problems with securing printed boarding passes (non EU) as could not print them ourselves at motel. Finally able to get them without charge after protest. Problem paying for checked bag online (did not go thru) so had to pay higher fee at airport. All this caused delay and rush to not miss flight. Not familiar with Ryan Air M.O. Not informed till 2 days before flight of online check in requirements. Not told could check in 30 days ahead-so could not print passes at home in US before travel. Did not know would have to enter and exit plane via stairs with large carry-on. Ryan Air should be more up front about extra charges incurred if you don't follow their protocol-esp. for first time users. Now know and will not fly with them again. Ended up costing as much or more than flying Aer Lingus Bristol to Dublin would have.

RyanAir got me from Dublin to Scotland for less money than a taxi to the airport in NY. That's fucking awesome. While the plane was spartan and there were no frills, that's A-OK. The service was surprisingly good.

No free food or entertainment, but hey, that's what you (didn't) pay for.

Went to checkin desk and told to straight to security. Walked to the other end of the airport only to discover our preprinted boarding passes would read at security. Had to lug all our bags back to the Ryan desk, wait in a long line, and get new boarding passes. Then lug our bags back across the airport to security and FINALLY the gate. Don't assume your print at home boarding passes will work.

1. Flight expensive....and ontop you pay 40€ for 20kg 2. Flight was at 13:35, when booking online, it says u can check in online 2 hrs before flight. If u dont you pay 50€ fee to checkin at airport ( absolutely rediculous to start with!!!!!) However, i tried to checkin online at 09:40 and payed for my suitcase, once i payed for my case, not only it didnt send me confirmation of payment or receipt, it asked for my passport details and date of birth which i entered... and then it told me the flight has already departed and wouldnt let me checkin. after 4 attempts trying.... my father called ryanair to ask for advise on what to do with this situation, and was told that we can checkin at the airport. We go to Pafos airport, where staff of ryanair at checkin were extremely rude.... and after explaining the situation... told us we must pay €50 to check in and get on my flight... told us to go to the other side of the airport to pay. We tried to explain the situation to another extreeeemely rude member of staff called Evi... who says she needs proof that i couldnt check in... so i showed her the emails i had received from ryanair.... and she said she could see it on her screen that i was in the ryanair site... but said she needed a print screen to prove it.... how pathetic!!! Then when questioning why emails from ryanair were not sufficient proof she said she is just doing her job and she doesnt care because she doesnt work for ryanair. Ironicaly told us to pay and have a nice day. We paid. And will make a huge complaint... and advertise how pathetic this airline is... not only the rules, they even ignore their own rules, as they have the rudest staff both ground and on board im sure they need the extra money to understandably employ better staff or maybe get better planes... or hopefully follow monarch so bad airlines get out and leave the good ones to do their job professionally. The way they service ob is another story. Staff look exhausted... unmotivated and very unhappy. I work for the crewing dept of an international shipping company... where we arrange travel for officers and crew hourly 24/7 , 365 days a year.....and will make sure that under no circumstances do we use ryanair as it will reflect badly on our company. I paid €250.00 for the ticket + €40.00 20kg + €50.00 because they wouldnt let me check in. = €340.00 €340.00 i could have gone with a better airline... had a happier flight.... not feel ripped off...and not been spoken to so rudely. I never complain. But this experience was continuously awful. And i will make sure this is expressed world wide. Cheating people is unacceptable. If i was late to try check in, or i did something wrong, or i was rude, or if the flight cost was rediculously low. i would understand.. but i paid good money for a ticket, too much money for a 14kg bag and ontop extra for the fault of the airlines webpage & acepted attitude!!Lesson learned!! We go to Pafos airport, where staff of ryanair at checkin were extremely rude.... and after explaining the situation... told us we must pay €50 to check in and get on my flight... told us to go to the other side of the airport to pay. We tried to explain the situation to another extreeeemely rude member of staff called Evi... who says she needs proof that i couldnt check in... so i showed her the emails i had received from ryanair.... and she said she could see it on her screen that i was in the ryanair site... but said she needed a print screen to prove it.... how pathetic!!! Then when questioning why emails from ryanair were not sufficient proof she said she is just doing her job and she doesnt care because she doesnt work for ryanair. Ironicaly told us to pay and have a nice day. We paid. And will make a huge complaint... and advertise how pathetic this airline is... not only the rules, they even ignore their own rules, as they have the rudest staff both ground and on board im sure they need the extra money to understandably employ better staff or maybe get better planes... or hopefully follow monarch so bad airlines get out and leave the good ones to do their job professionally. The way they service ob is another story. Staff look exhausted... unmotivated and very unhappy. I work for the crewing dept of an international shipping company... where we arrange travel for officers and crew hourly 24/7 , 365 days a year.....and will make sure that under no circumstances do we use ryanair as it will reflect badly on our company. I paid €250.00 for the ticket + €40.00 20kg + €50.00 because they wouldnt let me check in. = €340.00 €340.00 i could have gone with a better airline... had a happier flight.... not feel ripped off...and not been spoken to so rudely. I never complain. But this experience was continuously awful. And i will make sure this is expressed world wide. Cheating people is unacceptable. If i was late to try check in, or i did something wrong, or i was rude, or if the flight cost was rediculously low. i would understand.. but i paid good money for a ticket, too much money for a 14kg bag and ontop extra for the fault of the airlines webpage & acepted attitude!!Lesson learned!! For sure they will lose alot more than 1 customer!!!!

Plane and flight were fine once we got aboard and underway.

Flight was over an hour late and that was very inconvenient since people were waiting for me. Boarding was disorganized and practically a riot. Airport at Catania changed departure gate 3 times, causing great confusion.

Problems with securing printed boarding passes (non EU) as could not print them ourselves at motel. Finally able to get them without charge after protest. Problem paying for checked bag online (did not go thru) so had to pay higher fee at airport. All this caused delay and rush to not miss flight. Not familiar with Ryan Air M.O. Not informed till 2 days before flight of online check in requirements. Not told could check in 30 days ahead-so could not print passes at home in US before travel. Did not know would have to enter and exit plane via stairs with large carry-on. Ryan Air should be more up front about extra charges incurred if you don't follow their protocol-esp. for first time users. Now know and will not fly with them again. Ended up costing as much or more than flying Aer Lingus Bristol to Dublin would have.

Crew was kind and the ride was easy and mostly on time.

Gate changed three times in twenty minutes leaving me running all over BCN. Also, the plane was scorching hot until close to takeoff. Could not pay for snacks with credit card. Seats don’t recline.

1. Flight expensive....and ontop you pay 40€ for 20kg 2. Flight was at 13:35, when booking online, it says u can check in online 2 hrs before flight. If u dont you pay 50€ fee to checkin at airport ( absolutely rediculous to start with!!!!!) However, i tried to checkin online at 09:40 and payed for my suitcase, once i payed for my case, not only it didnt send me confirmation of payment or receipt, it asked for my passport details and date of birth which i entered... and then it told me the flight has already departed and wouldnt let me checkin. after 4 attempts trying.... my father called ryanair to ask for advise on what to do with this situation, and was told that we can checkin at the airport.
