The hotel generally was OK; the shower was the highlight.
Staff skills and efficiency need improving.
Very warm and "English" atmosphere. Discret and effective staff. The hotel is easy to be found. Restaurant of quality. I travelled off season. For this period in any case, the price is very low compared to the level of the quality
It was located very close to family. Rooms are small but recently reovated and was excellent value for money.
Room clean and comfy, nice pub attached for en eve drink.
Staff were very slow (not the barstaff of an eve) but we went for breakfast at 8am on the Sat morn, the time it began, as we had to be in the next village for an arranged day out at 9am, and it took them about 20 mins for them to offer us a full-English and then were surprised when we turned it down. Then when we went to check-out there was no-one on the desk, and after waiting about 10 mins it was the same guy who was serving at breakfast and there seemed to be some confusion over the rate of our room for the night, as I think we'd got it cheaper by booking through booking.com and in the end I just had to say take the money off the card as we were sooo pushed for time. Allow plenty of time for check-out if you are in a rush!
The friendly staff
The rooms were not quite up to standard. We felt they had no quite got it right,no heating in the bathroom, no double glazing, so lots of condensation. All the rooms had a bucket outside for smokers and we like to be in a no smoking area.
No shower curtain in the bathroom. Only replaced when complaint made. Could not get drink in bar after 11pm.
everything about the place was relaxing, which for me and my partner, was exactly what we were looking for.
Friendly staff. Good food.
Room could have done with a good clean of all areas.
Easy going and unpretentious
Our room smelt of smoke despite having the window open whenever we were in. I mentioned it to the receptionist and he did not seem overly concerned.
