It was close to the event we were attending
It all looks as if it could do with refurbishing
This would be difficult to say anything positive other than we whent to a 4 star Portuguese restaurant just around the corner. It was warm, friendly and inviting.
This is very tired accommodation in desperate need of decoration and deep cleaning. Health and Safety would find the bathroom extremely interesting. The decoration of the restaurant is very bare, bland and cold, reminds me of my stay in a Polish hotel during the Russian withdraw in 87. We would have liked table service at breakfast, but not so. Photos on the web site were taken I think in better days.
I booked a four poster bed room for myself and partner, it was very tatty and tired and overpriced, the rooms had all been broken into at some point where you could see where the doors had been, forced with a jemmy of somekind and not even been attempted to be repaired.
Friendly staff and service good.Comfortable rooms-convenient situation.
Evening meals were very good. The food was tasty and there was sufficient variety during my stay.
The hotel had a "tired" feel about it. The bathroom in particular needed attention to some of the tiles and the toilet cistern needed repair. It also needed a good clean.
The food was good.
The bedrooms were in a poor decorative state and the bed linen was stained. Bathroom was very poor
Rooms were quiet
Rather run down. Restaurant was empty (not a good sign), breakfast service was poor (ordered cooked breakfast which appeared within 2 mins whilst we were eating cereal, no apologies
Friendly and quite helpful staff.
The wedding I attended at a different hotel - ours was very very poor
the bed was uncomfortable - manager not approacable - and not worth the money - breakfast good - bar man very nice
not a lot -
Dirty bathroom, tired and loose fittings, chipped tiles, uncomfortable bed, awful breakfast (sliced bread & gloomy staff)
