The location was good - very close to Gion subway station. The coffee sachets made very nice coffee. The cleaning staff were excellent and the coin operated washer/dryer machines were modern and useful. The umbrellas in reception were very useful when it rained!
The room size was not bad but although labelled as a deluxe room there was nothing deluxe about it. Each person had just one very small and hard pillow on the bed. The bed had no bedside cabinets (despite there being a nice space each side where one could have been placed. The view was dreadful - all we could see was sheeted scaffolding of the building next door about a couple of metres away. Although the coffee was nice, you had to go down to the front desk to ask for a sachet each day (and the same for the complimentary bottles of water). They also tried to give me just 1 bottle of water even though we were two guests in the room. The price was relatively high compared to our hotels in Tokyo and Kyoto (surprisingly).
Room is quite big & comfortable bed
Location is not so good & room window view is bad, I also check other rooms window but all are same.
Can have free cancellation. Close to JR station.
Assigned to smoking room. The smell was very strong.
