Pros: Lovely dinner in the brasserie and great spa facilities. Staff was very attentive. Great stay and we will return!
Cons: Loved it all!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel and welcome we received felt personal and special. The hotel is in the middle of Bolton Abbey so if you enjoy walking and exploring it's the perfect place to stay. Breakfast was delicious as was the brasserie for evening meals. Reception staff were incredibly helpful when it came to carrying luggage, helping us with bookings and providing us with walking routes and maps.
Cons: Could have been more vegetarian options on the brasserie menu. The room was a little dated but appreciated the character.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great service, lovely conservatory to breakfast in. Great full Yorkshire breakfast and good range of continental breakfast too.
7.1 Good
Pros: Great location
Cons: The original room we were given was very small and cold with a tiny cold bathroom. We were moved to a much nicer suite but only because the shower was faulty and there was no hot water.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Super friendly and professional staff.
Cons: Poor wifi
7.5 Good
Pros: Staff excellent
Cons: Tired looking in areas eg bathrooms
7.9 Good
Pros: Pretty location though a bit limited in what can be done in poor weather. Nice public seating areas. Very dog friendly.
Cons: I think it’s overpriced for what it offers. Everything seems standard four star but price is for a five star hotel which it is definitely not.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely, old school country retreat.
Cons: Nothing. Dinner is formal but a real treat.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel comes at the top of all the good hotels I remember: The Welcome, The Room with View, the Public Rooms, the Bar, the Brasserie, the farewell, the value for money and the location, all first rate and all delivered with a friendly and informal but highly professional attitude
Cons: Nothing!

Pros: This was our second visit to this hotel and we have never been disappointed Friendly staff clean rooms. We had a lovely meal at the restaurant and a nice walk into skipton alongside the Leeds Liverpool canal.
9.0 Excellent
Cons: Overall the place needs some modernization
4.0 Okay
Pros: The location and property was adequate for our needs, we have stayed before.
Cons: The 'unwelcoming' attitude of the reception staff at check in. A smile costs nothing. We had to ask for the missing parts of our meal, no hot water in morning and was made to feel it was our fault for attempting to shower at a peak time, no 'sorry'
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very good quality breakfast, well worth the money

Cons: There really wasn't anything we didn't like.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfy rooms and beds. Stayed on the top floor ‘Malham’ room (no lift, just so you know). All the staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough but special mention for Michael, who welcomed us to the hotel and whose attentive service throughout was exceptional. The food was amazing esp the Ox Cheek! Free entry to Bolton Abbey grounds and trails is not to sniffed at.
Cons: Nothing
7.0 Good
Pros: The staff at the Devonshire Fell were delightful, but the young waiters/waitresses lacked experience - and brought us our main course before our starter, forgot to deliver toast, etc. The food was particularly good, well cooked and nicely presented. The main criticism is that it doesn't really broadcast to the occasional visitor that it is dog friendly, and that it allows dogs in all the bedrooms - much as I am a dog lover, I wasn't particularly happy that my room and my duvet smelt a little 'doggy'; I draw the line at dogs in the bedroom but I am aware that others don't, I didn't complain but I don't think we would go back for that reason alone.
Cons: Dogs being allowed in every bedroom.

The weather was against us but this certainly did not dampen our spirits and can't wait to return in the summer for afternoon tea on the terrace with such stunning views of Burnsall. Our rooms, was warm, cozy, comfy bed and lovely little extra touches to enhance our stay.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, car parking, room and breakfast good.
Cons: Stairs to room and vegan sausages
3.7 Mediocre
Pros: The location. Skipton is beautiful village in Yorkshire
Cons: Was expecting great things. Heard fantastic stories from a few years ago about the Woolly Sheep. Alas,it seems those days are long gone. The rooms are old and cramped. Our shower was held together by sellotape. We had our baby with us and they had us in a tiny tiny room. The staff weren’t so friendly and at one point a bit rude when we were feeding our baby in the restaurant. We only needed 15 mins,a high chair and a chair just to feed him,but the waiting staff were persistent on asking if we had a table booked,(which we had for an hour later )...but it wasn’t too busy, there was lots of free space but it felt as if they didn’t want us there and were moving us on. Anyways she when we did eat, they forgot part of the order completely. The food is average and expensive, plus with our steaks we had blue cheese sauce which was watery, bland and more buttery than cheesy. Very disappointed, won’t be back

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely location, super friendly staff, immaculately clean and a fantastic breakfast. First class customer service.
Cons: Check in is quite late in the day, even though parking was available prior to the check in time, it would still be more convenient and better value to be able to check in an hour or two earlier.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beds adapted to our needs. Bareakfasts excellent.
Cons: Nothing.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful drive into the property from Main Street and the pictures really do not do it justice. We arrived earlier than planned and the room was already prepared for us. The owners were very welcoming and full of local knowledge, having lived in the area for many years. It felt like they were always around if we had any questions or couldn't find anything in the reception guides/maps. The room was cleaned each day and re-stocked with a good range of hot drinks and fresh water. Free wifi was available and a good strength when we used it, although we were out on adventures the majority of our stay. Grassington is a great location to walk straight onto the Dales and towards local towns. The cooked breakfasts were excellent and food was sourced locally. There was a good selection of cereals, dried fruits and pancakes available too. We are hoping to visit again later this year.
Cons: There is nothing we would change or do differently and definitely plan to return to Ashfield House.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfy bed. Excellent hosts
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Check in was very friendly. Room was small but very comfortable and well laid out. Coffee tea and juice in room was nice. I asked for wine and there was a bottle waiting on ice as asked for. The house is old but lovely and very quirky. The staff were lovely. The free cake was a great touch. The breakfast was probably the best I have had, and I have tried many. You have to try the goose egg.
Cons: Only small thing was the shower. No power bit weak, needs better ones.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: High quality accommodation . Typical cosy cottage style in the heart of Grassington which is wonderful in itself . Quiet - ideal for a weekend getaway. Gateway to the dales , tea rooms and fabulous pubs with typical friendly locals
Cons: Biscuits with tea on the morning but really there was nothing we didn t like

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Evening meal was excellent, served on hot plates which was great. Staff friendly and not intrusive while we were eating. Breakfast was also excellent, my poached eggs were done to perfection and as I’d asked for them to be done. Hubby just loved the black pudding. Only let down was the coffee, it tasted like it was stewed, very strong and not very hot, I had to ask for hot water to try and heat it up, and to desolve some of the strength . Same really as could not fault the rest
Cons: Coffee, too strong and not very hot
