Excellent 8.0
Pros: Warm welcome, comfortable rooms, good breakfast, owners went the extra mile to ensure that our stay was comfortable.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Very welcoming and friendly clean and tidy and a good wifi connection and smart TV.
Cons: on street parking ok in October but other times could be a problem.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Jaye and Shane were brilliant hosts. We both felt really at home and very well looked after. Our dog Alfie loved his stay too! The room was lovely and spotlessly clean and the breakfast was delicious. Would definitely stay again.
Cons: The weather 😩
Excellent 10.0
Pros: From the 1st communication we knew it was going to be lovely.. such a lovely warm welcome Absolutely lovely b n b, beautiful room, spotlessly clean, amazing hosts who make sure your stay with them is great... delicious breakfast and very good company. Will definitely be going back.
Cons: Everything was better than perfect
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Very nice staff, great location (near the sea) quiet, excellent wifi, nice and clean bathroom, confortable matress (The bed is a bit narrow, but the matress is excellent comfortable). Good value-price ratio.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The breakfast was exceptional, so many options offered. Avocado, egg and smoked salmon on toast was amazing. Our room and en-suite were immaculate with a 2 minute walk to the sea front. The decor of the whole B & B was so tasteful. Jaye's hospitality was so warm and friendly and she gave us so much helpful advice on places to eat, visit and see. Absolutely brilliant stay, highly recommend to anyone visiting Anglesey.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: I found The Wavecrest to be one of best properties I have stayed at ! It’s very bright and clean . The room was very comfortable and the bathroom new and shower was superb. The owners could not be more helpful if they tried, and their two tiny little dogs were a delight. Breakfast was hot and plentiful and excellent value with lots of choice. I would thoroughly recommend this b+b when visiting Holyhead .
Cons: There is nothing I could suggest to improve this lovely b&b !
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Landlady was very helpful and had great knowledge of both the town and the area. Great location, excellent breakfast.
Cons: Not a thing.
Excellent 9.6

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Attentive friendly staff and excellent food choice in restaurant
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Very welcoming proprietor and friendly, helpful staff. An excellent base to visit Anglesey and a nice quiet location. Excellent catering, with a tasty, ample breakfast; the evening meals were exceptional, with a good menu of imaginative dishes. I would happily return.
Cons: A rather dribbly shower.
Good 7.0
Pros: Good breakfast.
Cons: Shower over bath, Lack of pressure and temperature not constant.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The place was lovely, the rooms were nice and the breakfast was exceptional. The location was lovely.
Cons: Although clean and comfortable, there was an unpleasant smell in the bathroom which permeated into the room whenever we opened the door.
Excellent 10.0
We cannot recommend this hotel enough, we came to Anglesey to rally at the circuit and had mechanical problems with the rally car and the tow car.the management picked us up from the A55 and helped us to organise a difficult return home, regardless of that the professionalism and the excellent staff made this disaster as easy as it could be. Plus it is an excellent place to spend time. Thank you so much.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Central location to town. Excellent hosts, nothing was to much for them, in helping our stay in holyhead welcoming
Cons: There was nothing not to like. It was an exceptional place
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Mel and Pearl were really friendly and made sure my partner and I had everything we needed. They recommended nice places to visit and restaurants to eat at. The room was bigger than we expected and even had a functioning fridge with water and milk prepared for us. Breakfast options were varied and tasty, with room for customisation.
Cons: The sign for the entrance of the lodge is small so we missed it the first time we drove past. Not really a problem though as there is space to turn around at the end of the road.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very friendly hosts and great quality breakfast.
Good 7.0
Pros: The owners were so nice and made us feel so welcome . Could not do enough For us The Breakfast was amazing
Cons: Our room the comfy room was a little too small for me and my boyfriend . No room to put our belongings or move around. We did expect our room to be bigger as we had for a double room Room had a bit of a damp smell . The bathroom however was good
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Best Breakfast in a B&B I had on this Trip
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Very friendly and knowledgeable about the area
Excellent 10.0

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Location is exceptional
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Comfortable and clean rooms and fantastic value. Is in a brilliant location, after I arrived I went down to the nearby Porth Dafarch beach and had my dinner looking over the sea. I was staying as I had a track day booked at Anglesey track the next day and would definitely use it again.
Cons: No staff to help out finding rooms or answer questions but all that was due to Covid restrictions in Wales at the time so couldn't be helped. Still got checked in and out fine.
Good 7.0
Pros: No staff on site due to Covid but they were great at communicating on email. Nice bistro bar on site and 10min walk to the beach. Looks a great site to camp at. Good location for near holyhead and southstack.
Cons: No hot water in our room shower so had to use the camping ones. I felt misled by the booking.com pictures and expected twin beds as paid for rather than dorm room style 2 bunk beds which my mum had a fit about.
Good 7.0
Pros: access to room in line with government restrictions
Cons: everything was much liked
Good 6.0
Pros: The accommodation was as expected - effectively ‘dorm’ style rooms with bunk beds - basic but functional. The Paddlers pub did good food and drinks which was good. Plenty of space for the kids to run around and play. We stayed only one night en route to an early ferry from Holyhead.
Cons: It’s all a bit tired decoratively, which is a shame as it has much potential - I guess it’s primary use is for watersports groups/school trips and the campers.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: clean, friendly staff, nice place to be in - cozy -, and you have facilities like kitchen, lounge. most of the things are from pallets, so it gives like a "new life" type of feeling.
Cons: Single glazed windows, ( noise ) and in the shower icons are erased.
Excellent 10.0
Very peaceful area with excellent facilities especially for family breaks, great location for beach and cliff walks and easy reach of town centre if needs be.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: The views, beds just like at home amazing. Staffs friendly eager to help or provide what was needed. Totally nice ambience about the place.
Cons: The key lock wasn’t working at swimming pool guy fixing it blamed me for breaking it.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: great location
Cons: n/a
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Our room was spacious & had a large comfy bed
Cons: Furniture was tired & stained & a little scruffy
Good 7.0
Pros: Staff were excellent could not do enough . Food and drink good value for money . Breakfast was plentiful and varied and the breakfast was more enjoyable by the service and chats with John who served us every morning He was a great guy and knowledgeable about the area. Need to keep him on 👍.
Cons: The mattress on our bed was far to firm for us but not much you can do I suppose ? The view from the room was spoiled somewhat by the windows being very dirty and they weren’t cleaned before we arrived or whilst we were there ! Need to sort that out because the view like I say is quite lovely. The room was a bit dated and smaller than we would have thought but had all the amenities tea , coffee , water etc .
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Eventually our room was as we expected. The location was very good and the breakfast was very good.
Cons: We arrived and were allocated room 35. We refused to stay in that room it was certainly not a 4star. Badly in need of a refurbish, not a nice bathroom, chipped furniture old and unwelcoming. We immediately went to reception and aired our view and was allocated another room which was better. We were staying for 3 nights and unhappy at what we were initially given. We paid £408 for 3 nights and expected better. Days before we stayed at Colwyn Bay it cost us £170 for 2 nights we couldn’t fault The Colbourn hotel it had a fridge, a small safe and a beautiful bathroom. We expected the same or better from Treaddur Bay. The swimming pool was not what I would expect in a 4 star hotel. Although I couldn’t fault the breakfast.
Mediocre 3.0
Pros: Nice location
Cons: Needs a total refurbishment and a good clean! Definitely not worth the money
Excellent 8.8
This little hotel is in a fantastic location right on the bay. Our short stay was enhanced by friendly and helpful staff, would definitely return.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: staff friendly .. room clean .. kettle provided and lots of tea coffee.. bed comfy.. and quiet.. had a good nights sleep..
Cons: that i had to leave really early and not enjoy the comfort provided..
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Lovely hotel and friendly staff
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Perfect for a pre ferry stop off ! Convenient, comfortable and amazing value for money.
Cons: There was noise from the pub til 11ish - but it is a room over a pub so to be expected. And very peaceful once closed.
Good 7.0
Pros: The room
Cons: It was a very nice room access was not easy but once in the room it was comfortable
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Provided bike storage, quiet room. Centre of town easy to get to from the ferry.
Good 6.8
I stayed during lockdown so did not get the full experience Would return again to get the full Stanley effect
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The staff greeted me warmly as they checked me in and showed me to the room. The room was very clean and comfortable. Had tea and coffee making in the room along with a TV. En suite bathroom was very clean and the shower worked well. It is above the Pub and after checking in I journeyed down for a tasty lasagne and a pint. It is also right in the town center in easy walking distance from the train/ferry terminal (just be sure to exit the train towards the ferry terminal and use the foot bridge that brings you right into the town center).
Cons: Although I didn’t mind, any time one is staying above a pub there is a higher noise level to be expected. Unlike US bars, the pubs close earlier and the crowds disperse at a reasonable time (before 12).

Okay 5.0
Pros: Room had all that was required, surprisingly better than my original assumptions when booking this hotel. Did not try the restaurant for dinner , but breakfast in the morning was excellent.
Cons: Bar area and seating is is need of revamping and modernising, did not feel at all welcoming. No issues with the staff, just the decor of the place looks a bit run down and to be honest, which was one of the reasons for not having dinner in the adjacent .
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Comfortable bed in a spacious room. Spotless bathroom with a really good shower. We liked having independent access to the room directly from outside, without having to go through reception or communal areas. Situated just a few minutes' walk from the beach (which is lovely).
Cons: Don't expect the place to look smart from the outside - or to have pretty views!
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Perfect location near beach and ferry with lovely staff
Cons: N/A
Excellent 10.0
Pros: great breakfast as always and very friendly staff
Cons: having to leave
Mediocre 3.0
Cons: Very noisy with music being plaid until 4 Oclock in the morning from a nearby . Second night noise was ok.
Good 7.0
Pros: Room and staff excellent, location brilliant. Bath and shower exceptional , room well proportioned.
Cons: Exterior of motel depressing Bar and restaurant poor decor and ambiance Did not attempt breakfast as places nearby looked better option. Did not bother with evening meal as number of very good places in walking distance offering fantastic food in great settings. Tried draft beer, awful, undrinkable, yet excellent draft Lee’s and Brains available nearby.i
Okay 5.0
Pros: Had breakfast the first morning and was not impressed, so went without the second morning, preferring to drive home without, which wasn’t good
Cons: Quality of the breakfast
Okay 5.0
Pros: Clean room.
Cons: The restaurant was not available at all during my stay.

Good 6.0
Pros: The place needs updating. Perhaps install cctv, have a member of staff or a PT stationed at the gym if you have issues with people using the gym. I won't go into details but l was deeply offended. Do better!
Cons: The two ladies at the reception when l arrived were welcoming and lovely. The gentleman who helped with my suitcase was very kind and polite. The gentlemen who served me breakfast went out of his way to ensure everything was spot on. Lady in treatment thank you for pointing me in the right direction. Bed was comfy and breakfast superb.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The room was lovely and clean and spacious with a terrace leading from our room, the bed was huge and very comfortable, the bathroom was faultless with a great shower; We only had breakfast which was delicious and piping hot. The staff are all lovely and very friendly. I would stay again without a doubt.
Cons: Nothing it was all great.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The property was lovely , staff were totally amazing , couldn’t do enough for you without been over whelmed with the presence ,, Pool and spa area were just as the pictures show and even better as it was a quiet time so at times I was the only person using them ,,, Rooms were plentiful , and fridge and safe included , Had a room with a terrace , sadly weather didn’t allow me to use it , The hotel itself is in the middle of countryside , a long driveway for the approach , so no road noise is heard ,, so peaceful and a great place all around ,,, breakfast was pretty awesome to with a fully cooked ordered as you want , not the help yourself Buffett style , so all fresh and hot ,,
Cons: Only issue , ( but not really ) it’s was breakfast only served atm , and you do have to travel out for any good meals , but this is told to you at time of booking , so just be prepared to go out for food atm,,
Excellent 8.0
Pros: the Hotel was very well maintained, clean comfortable. The spa was great it had all the facilities that you would need. The rooms were big and well decorated with very comfortable beds. The grounds were beautiful, and i have been told the main house is a big attraction (unfortunately closed at the time of our stay) i think had our stay been at the right time of year in one of the rooms in the big house with the restaurant experience! then it would have been exceptional.
Cons: because of COVID (we were warned) the main restaurant was closed. I have been told it has an exceptional reputation for the quality of its food and service. Unfortunately this wasn't available for our stay and the food in the clock tower although was good was a limited menu/themed nightly menu
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The area, the building and the spa
Cons: Restaurants closed for evening meal
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Staff very helpful....breakfast ok....bathroom fine...room a little dated tho
Cons: Only half hotel open....also needs a bit of an update...some bits look a bit tired.no atmosphere as so few guests.also no restaurant..we had been advised of this tho.

Good 7.0
Pros: Just arrived in time for dinner at 7.45

Excellent 8.0

Okay 4.0
Pros: If the hotel was operating effectively it could be a pleasurable experience as the hotel had a homely feel.
Cons: No staff to greet us, hotel was empty for 55 minutes before arrival of owner. Dirty piece of underwear on our radiator. No breakfast in any capacity. Bar was not open. Lounge was in darkness, not inviting. Hotel was opened to the homeless and there was a gentleman with obvious mental health issues. We paid £200 for this experience which was very expensive for no benefits.
Okay 4.6
Pros: Not much
Cons: The staff were friendly but the owner was terrible not helpful at all.
Good 6.0
Pros: no meals served due to covid
Cons: no meals
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Nice room. Despite a glitch with our original booking the hotel was able to accommodate us in a room for disabled persons. Located near an RAF airfield so noisy during the day but no jets fly at night.
Cons: Nothing. Due to Covid no restaurant, bar or breakfast which is understandable.
Mediocre 3.0
Pros: n/a
Cons: no food or drink available.

Excellent 8.0
Pros: It's a gorgeous, historical building in absolute town centre. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Room was very spacious, even with a separate cupboard for belongings.
Cons: You can feel it's an old building - ventilation is not great, it could use some fresh paint here and there etc. Still, it wasn't a big problem and kind of part of the charm.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Stayed in the courtyard round the back , sate parking , great staff . What’s not to like .
Cons: N/a
Good 7.0
Pros: good breakfasts, high quality historical building, central location, good parking
Cons: super victorian building in need of carpets & redecorating.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Breakfast was excellent with a reasonable choice. The staff were also very flexible in catering for 'mix and match' type requests. This stay (we have stayed here previously) we did not have dinner in the hotel as we were out every night. The room was large enough for a comfortable stay with a large, clean en-suite bathroom. The room had TV and tea/coffee facilities and a hair dryer.
Cons: The only criticism would be the mattress which both my wife and I found a little over-firm for our taste. Common area carpets were a little "tired" but this was purely cosmetic and did not affect our stay. We will happily book The Bull hotel again next time we stay in Llangefni.
Mediocre 3.0
Pros: The only saving grace was that the bed linen and towels were very clean.
Cons: We do a lot of overnight stays around the country this is probably the worst room we have stayed in, dingy, dark, musty, dusty, bathroom was grotty please see pics...probably last decorated in the early 80s, I'm sure there were better rooms in this hotel I have a feeling this was the worst, we were right at the top of the hotel overlooking the main road and the pub opposite The market vault..well the noise from there was awful even with the windows shut, there was shouting, screaming and cars racing up and down till all hours ..even my husband was disturbed and he's normally unconscious as soon as his head hits the pillow. We didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that but have seen good comments regarding the breakfasts, we would not stay here again..ever.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Staff were very friendly. The apartment, (the room had a separate kitchen and bathroom was in a courtyard and I was able to park the car right outside the door, which was ideal as my wife is disabled. The apartment was huge and had plenty of room for a wheelchair if needed. The hotel is centrally located on the island which is ideally placed for exploring Anglesea and North Wales. Also being situated in the middle of the village, it was handy to visit the local shops as well. We returned every evening for the excellent meals that they provide as well.
Cons: The bed was a bit too hard, and the shower although efficient enough was inside a bath which normally would be ok, was a little awkward as my wife being disabled couldn’t climb into the bath, no fault of the hotel, but a separate shower could have been useful.
Good 7.0
Pros: The friendly Welsh manager really had his heart in the job, but with the hotel for sale and funds tight he has a tough job to fulfil.
Cons: Local ownership instead of a conglomerate would benefit this landmark hotel.

Okay 4.0
Pros: It’s on a great location. Within walking distance of everything you need or not far to travel out to explore
Cons: Unfortunately it wasn’t very clean. There had been a leak from the kitchen sink and the carpet was soaking wet. Limited eating utensils and equipment (no microwave despite stating there is one) in the kitchen so we ended up just eating out for every meal, which we hadn’t budgeted for. The main bed needs replacing as head and foot boards had stains on. Not nice. Massive old Tv in the room that doesn’t work properly taking up valuable space in the small family room. Needs a good spring clean.
Good 7.0
Pros: Stayed there last week. The property is inside the castle walls, within the city centre near the Caernarfon Castle which is great. They gave us a separate apartment-type room that’s connected to the building, which was clean and decent in size. I was impressed with heating floors in the toilet which was nice.
Cons: Outside and inside of the property looks like a lot of refurbishment to be done, looks old, the building is old and needs some life, some moulds in some part of the walls inside, broken walls. WiFi not working properly which wasn’t working properly which was the annoying part as I had to use my mobile hotspot to connect to my laptop. Not much signal but did manage to get couple to 3 bars at least. It terms of the payment you have to go the pub near the docks for the payment of ur stay.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Layout, facilities, parking and dog friendly!
Okay 4.0
Pros: Location was very good and close to castle and seafront. Excellent shower and hot water.
Cons: Both TVs didn't work, there was no WiFi, given the Covid cleaning necessities they had not vacuumed under the beds and it didn't look very clean. No tea/coffee maker, no microwave, no teatowels or dishcloths, no antibac to wipe surfaces down, no stovetop as advertised.
Good 7.1
Pros: Space
Cons: No WiFi
Okay 4.0
Pros: Location was good. Bathroom good. Facilities ok
Cons: The whole place needed a very thorough deep clean. There were 2 tvs in the apartment, neither of which we could get to work. Bed very uncomfortable. Only found wi fi code on morning we were leaving and that did not work very well.
Poor 1.0
Pros: The location to the town centre
Cons: The smell, the damp and the general cleanliness of the place, The only time we saw the host was when we checked in. Advertised as B&B but there was no mention of breakfast when we checked in and had to pay to eat elsewhere
Mediocre 2.0
Pros: Breakfast was lovely but the B and B was in need of decorating
Cons: large mushroom in entrance hall which wasnt good and outside in rear was very messy
Okay 4.0
Pros: Great location to visit this lovely town.
Cons: The place has not been cleaned properly, there were bins/rubbish pilled up just outside the entrance door which is not acceptable especially in this covid times... It spoilt our stay as we could not relax and just wanted to get out.
Mediocre 3.0
Pros: The shower, water pressure was great
Cons: It looked and felt like it hadn’t been cleaned for a very long time. Carpet was sticky and every wall had something unpleasant on it. I highly doubt that the property had been prepared with Covid-19 in mind. It could be made perfect with i a little TLC, but sadly I think it’s used as a cash cow and nothing else.
Good 7.4
Pros: Fantastic location inside city walls near shops, restaurants, and attractions. Private parking spot if you rent the apartment (but no breakfast).
Cons: Dishes in the apartment not very clean. No parking unless you get the apartment, in which case you forfeit breakfast.
