Ice cold shower, wifi did not connect to internet; large rooms, good location
Breakfast served in restaurant in the hotel.
Our non-smoker room smelled like cigarettes upon arrival. Front desk staff not very warm or welcoming upon check in, lacked hospitality.
Expensive for the value
Standard room with a high price. No breakfast
Nice hotel. OK breakfast.
Hotel was nice and quiet.
Breakfast was rather lacking. Hard to get a server also.
Big room, nicely decorated
No fridge in the room. We can hear every noise from the guy taking a shower next room, people walking upstairs, to people talking outside on the parking lot, very badly acoustically insulated wall! And the bad experience : we forgot 2 things in the room, we had to call a few times before having the people find ouf the stuff and they didn't find one of the 2 thing even if it was in the closed pocket of the first one...bizarre...
Better than expected
Location, pool , room, friendly waitress at dinner
Receptionist was the worst most unfriendly unwelcoming person we met in the USA, if you can get past her, you will be ok!
Friendly staff, very accommodating, location, good breakfast
Squeaky bathroom door, beds were a bit small and too soft
Old, tired rooms and unfriendly staff
Rooms are poorly maintained. Thermopane windows are fogged up, front desk was rude and unhelpful. Restaurant was blah and poorly prepared food. Items did not match the menu description and apparently that is just how its done there. Landscaping is barren and very dusty. If you get stuck in the older part of the building that was built in 1960 they have either central heat or central air, and in mid April it was getting hot and those rooms had no AC and most appeared to not have any windows that opened. We found out the next morning there is supposedly a pretty good restaurant at the Hampton Inn which the front desk did not tell us about (hoping we would eat at their terrible restaurant instead). Web site says 10% discount if you are from CO but they did not have that available the day we were there. No PPV TV available (even though its advertised on the web site). Kayenta is on the reservation, and as such alcohol is illegal, so BYOB. Their pet policy seems to vary, the web site says a $200 refundable deposit which we were not asked to pay, I see on this site one guest was charged $50.00. Overall just poorly run.
Expensive for what you get, staff not friendly
Had availability last minute
Hotel was expensive for what you get. Breakfast is not included, and is expensive also. Fitness center barely works, and staff is rude. Not the hotel's fault, but there's nothing in the area, and the town shuts down at 9.
Great location (close to downtown and to the Univ of AZ campus), great food (adhered to diet restrictions including gluten free), older home with lots of character!
The character also added some little quirks :)
Convenient location to Monument Valley, good for a one night stay.
Situated in a national park, this hotel is within a 10-minute walk of Navajo Code Talkers Exhibit and Navajo Cultural Center. Oljato-Monument Valley and Monument Valley are also within 32 miles (52 km).
