The decor was modern yet warm and cosy and the staff were extremely nice and friendly
Friendliness of staff. Amenities in room. Presentation of food. Outskirts of town. Room not well soundproofed - you could hear next door going to the toilet.
Friendly staff, great location.
The Brook Lane Hotel was warm, comfortable, and welcoming. The staff were very helpful and engaging. They were genuinely interested in our comfort and interests.
A lovely contemporary hotel with polite and friendly staff, food was excellent
Excellent staff, modern design, great food, comfy beds. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room, only a minor gripe.
Friendly staff. great room, food available on premise was excellant, Close to town centre & easy access Service at breakfast was slow & disinterested on both mornings we stayed.
Welcome at reception. Warmth and comfort of the room. Helpfulness of staff in recommending where to eat, where to visit.
Comfortable & big bed TV not great & no remote control provided
Very helpful staff and great style.
The welcome we got from the guesthouse staff we felt relaxed at at home
We had reserved for 2 nights, and changed our plans so we cancelled the 2nd night. I was (fairly) charged a 15% cancellation fee, but it wasn't calculated correctly (I was overcharged, but let it go) and 3 days later I got an email notification that I'm being charged a "no-show" EUR 79 fee as well.
Very friendly hostess who had time to chat and discuss the area.Very good breakfast in congenial surroundings. I would have prefered rea making facilities in the room.
Friendly proprieters, lovely view, relaxing.
Beautiful location overlooking a river & very peaceful. Owners very friendly & helpful. Breakfast very good & rooms very clean.
Absolutely quiet rooms, perfect cleanliness. Beautiful view to mountains and bay from our room. Lovely home-smoked salmon for breakfast.
Nice view through woods to the sea. Good sized room. Friendly staff. Not cheap
Beautiful area and view, very nice rooms, friendly and helpful staff, excellent food.
the proprietor of the guesthouse was very kind and, the rooms comfortable and the location is beautiful.
The room was excellent with a wonderful view to the river. The staff was superb and friendly. I highly recommend this place as a choice to visit the area (i.e. Ring of Kerry)
Comfortable rooms. Staff pleasant and professional. Location is opposite National Park entrance but hotel itself quite ugly with grounds consisting mainly of car-park.
Location, decor, spa, Fridge didn't work, too warm for comfort, breakfast was mediocre, not impressed for the price.
The excellent service and staff. Room service menu was good. The service in the bar attached to the hotel was sub-standard most likely due to understaffing.
On arrival the staff immediatly made us feel very welcome. We were escorted to our room by a very well trained porter who didn't leave anything to be doubtfull about as regards to what was available to us in our room and how everything functioned. Wonderfull products in the bathroom. Excellent food, wonderfull breakfast.
the outside hot tub. Price of room.
The staff were excellent, they could not have been any more helpful, the hotel is pure luxury and the bedrooms are huge
Fantastic staff, comfortable rooms. I felt that this hotel did not live up to its billing as a 5 star hotel, I have stayed in other 5 stars and every one was more than a class above this hotel. 4 Star is a more accurate description I feel.
WE loved the surroundings, in the park We found the walk around the lake to the cafe a beautiful and manageable journey. We did take bikes as well one day. Within a short drive were lovely sights, including views of the valley and waterfalls. Resort had lovely spa , and morning breakfast included in our stay was delicious. Can't say enough about staff- Chris , Teddy as our concierges, Julie at front desk and Mauve in Yew Tree restaurant. The spa was moved to a new location which was quite a bit smaller, but as long as weather is good, you prefer to be outside anyway.
The room was a good size however i do suspect that we had been given an upgrade as the other hotel rooms didn't look quite as big. The spa was excellent. The room design was not that well thought out for example, despite having a TV in the room (at the bottom of the bed) you couldn't actually see it at all as the bed footboard was far too high.
the spa the older part of the hotel is shabby, and the bathrooms not very nice
A good location and base for touring this very scenic part of Ireland combined with excellent rooms and hotel facilities. Nothing we didn't like about the hotel. We will use this hotel again.
If you stay in this hotel be sure to go for the fabulous buffet breakfast. The range on offer was terrific.
The room was very nice and comfortable, hotel staff very helpful. We stayed there for a wedding reception of my sister-in-law. The whole event has been organised perfectly, the wedding reception room was decorated in a very nice style and the food was excellent together with very efficient serving staff.
The bedroom was spacious, modern and clean and the hotel in general was very pleasant. It is very close to the town where there are lots of very nice pubs and restaurants. I didn't like the dining room, it was like a function room. It was obvious that the hotel caters mainly for tours in this case, I think a smaller dining room would be more appropriate for non tour guests.
central location to town friendliness & helpfulness of staff & hotel itself is very nice & good leisure centre
we enjoyed our stay had a spa treatment and really enjoyed the break my spa treatment
Convenient for the Town Centre Breakfast Buffet not replenished after Coach Tours had eaten. Current bulding on site.
rooms were large enough for 2 adults and 3 children. the pool is spacious witha great kiddies area.
Restaurant. Food was a very high standard. Leisure facilities.excellant Towels could have been bigger.
I liked the rooms and the sound of the waterfall. Dining room very pleasant No
Comfortable room. Tea/coffee making facilities for the room were available on request but when requested there were not any to be had - only 10 trays to whole hotel and they were all out. Not to be expected of a 5 star hotel. Had to go out and buy a kettle.
Check-in was very efficient. I'd requested a room with a view,as it was a special night away for my wife's bifthday, and we were upgraded. Staff were attentive, without being too obtrusive. A very pleasant stay, just what we wanted. Facilties were good, Pool area could do with a little freshening up.
there was a mix up with my online booking (which was not really the hotels fault) nevertheless the hotel staff made me feel at ease and they were very generous to upgrade our stay when the booking got sorted. The staff really made the experience for me. i am fortunate enough in my work to stay in many hotels around the country, many have great amenities and are in great locations but few make you feel so welcome. Maybe from a functions point of view it might be a little short on parking spaces. However, that didn't effect me.
Slightly disappointed given its reputation .....appears to be slightly complacent in terms of service and offer and living on past glories !!
The staff where so helpful the settings are amazing it is a top class hotel. The price
One of the most awesome hotels I've stayed in. Well worth it for a weekend break but almost wasted if it's only for one night.
Charming hotel - very comfortable and staff were helpful andfriendly My husband said the spa facilities were excellent, and very clean.
very close to everything, pubs/shops etc. staff very good. great breakfast the stairs to the room at 2am!!
Breakfast, location No a/c and pole not included to open windows so room was uncomfortable
Perfect location - great room and wonderful people. Stay here.
Staff was incredibly friendly! Large, clean and inexpensive rooms None
Staff very helpful & friendly. Breakfasts of a much higher than usual standard. Overall we were very happy indeed. Nothing
Fantastic location, staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Food was gorgeous. Would recommend Davitts to friends and family. Truly enjoyable stay.
Central location.friendly Staff. Good Brakefast. The resturant food was not up to its usual high standard.
Staff so accommodating and helpful
The Brehon was a very welcoming hotel. All staff were very friendly. Rooms were of a good size and the bathroom was bigger than in a lot of other hotels. Food was excellent. Good location, about 15 mins from town centre. Overall we had a pleasant stay and would highly recommend this hotel.
The service was excellent
Great room, very clean. Staff unobtrusive but helpful when needed. Alcohol available from the bar in room after closing which was good as I was at a wedding. Service could have been a little quicker when ordering food from the bar, also a few orders were wrong when served.
Their attention to detail was excellent. Very friendly and efficient in all areas - girls on reception/waiters, etc. Used the Spa, and it was a beautiful experience. Would do it all again! Nothing. Whatever training was done, should be replicated in other hotels.
Everything,it's a classy hotel No
A very nice hotel with friendly staff and a beautiful choice of food for breakfast and a brilliant evening meal and wine choice you could not ask for anything more. The alarm clock going off sunday morning to end the lovely weekend.
There is nothing that stands out that was anything near the "best" thing during my stay but if I was pushed breakfast was good. Unfriendly staff
Whole experience Leaving it!
Clean, spacious rooms. Great breakfast. Close to everything you need. No Wi Fi in rooms. Bar staff not overly friendly.
The staff, facilities and the breakfast Nothing
Spent 2 nights in the bay hotel lodge and loved it. was a fantastic break. will definatly return
The lodges were very well presented and comfortable and only a 3 monute walk into the town. They were great value for money and would definately stay there again.
The lodge we stayed in was only recently completed and is of a very high standard. I hope that the hotel invests in regular maintenance to ensure they remain so.
Location was fabulous - beautiful, quaint Kenmare. We loved the pathway to the town center. We stayed in the lodges and found them to be clean, very spacious, modern, and had everything we needed. While we didn't have much contact with staff (other than check-in/out), and we did not eat in the restaurant, we loved our space in the lodge. I was also impressed that Kenmare Bay Hotel/Lodges are a green facility and practice recycling/conservation. It is so important for a small country like the Republic of Ireland, and the beautiful Kerry County and surrounding area to stay preserved and clean. Our place was peaceful, quiet, and exceeded our expectations! We loved surrounding Kenmare and found it a great town that had all we needed; shops, restaurants, pubs, music, and gorgeous scenery. Thank you for your hospitality! Nothing!
Lodges were very modern and clean and it was an ideal location to see Kenmare and the surrounding area. Only one quibble and that was when we were informed that the electricity was separate (understandable) but we were not giving any readings and so was a little surprised to be hit with an electricity bill for €30 when we we did not spend that much time in the lodge over the weekend.
The family apartment was very nicely laid out, nicely decorated and very clean. I had to spend over 30 minutes inventorying all of the items in the apartment prior to checkout--this should not be necessary.
The lodge was very pretty, but it certainly had not been properly inspected before we used it. The staff was helpful and responded very well. They also gave us a nice complimentary breakfast and a discount on our bill so the leaks and missing bathroom issues didn't seem so bad. The place is brand new, very beautiful and once the "newness" is worked out, it will be lovely. We had a severe bathroom leak at 11:00 at night. Also, we were unable to use two of the three bathrooms in the lodge. Sewage water came into the bathtub and shower when the toilet was flushed. Also, the panel on the dishwasher came right off in my hands and I was unable to put it back properly. The lodge was new and quite beautiful, but it had issues. I'm sure they will work out the "newness"
Large units, well fitted out and quiet. Nice swimming pool (although be sure to bring adult swimming costumes as kids can't swim with out a parent in the pool. Great little town - leaves Killarney for dead!
the fact that they were so modern and up to date with everything you need in a home from home when you have children
great location only 3 min walk into town, we will definitely stay here again. the only thing was that on checking out we were charged a utilty bill of €10 per day that we didn't know about when we were making the booking. other than that everything was perfect.
Fantastic condo-like accomodations. Very spacious and well-equipped. Clean and comfortable. Great value for our group. No
The facility just outside of Killarney was amazing, the staff was top quality and accommodated all of our requests (tea by the fire, etc.), and the breakfasts were top rate.
Cahernane House was our favorite accommodation during our trip to Ireland. The rooms were well appointed and spacious. Great restaurant on site and the grounds were lovely as well. Short walk to Killarney town center and great place to explore Ring of Kerry and Dingle Peninusla from. Staff was extremely gracious and helpful, especially Marion at the front desk. No complaints at all.
A beautiful historic manor house hotel. Nicely appointed rooms with great views of the fields & moutains of Killarney....A nice homey pub & a terrific breakfast...Mary was great as the front desk mgr...
This hotel is part of the Manor House group in Ireland. We stayed in the old part of the house which has huge rooms with high ceilings. Our bathroom was the biggest I have ever seen. As big as most peoples' sitting rooms. The restaurant was closed for the two nights we were there but you could eat in the bar. The fact that the restaurant was closed without any proper explanation.
atmosphere, style of the hotel. a member of housekeeping walked in on me while i was sitting on the toilet,i never even heard her coming in,no member of housekeeping,in my opinion, should have access to the rooms until after the checkout time,it was very embarrassing.
very large room with great facalities within the room good cheep room service nice grounds
Olde world feel
Excellent, helpful staff; very comfortable common areas and rooms; very good restaurant; warm, homey feel; good location, and nice grounds. Internet access in common areas only. Would have preferred internet access in room.
We enjoyed the quietness of the hotel, there was no hassel checking in, the room was clean and warm and we would stay there again. I had only one thing I did not like about the hotel and it was the coffee with the breakfast, it was served too early and by the time we got our hot food the coffee was cold and it was also too strong.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The heated bathroom floor is a nice touch.
Very central location . Friendly staff
Location was good. Staff were grand. No wifi, no tea/coffee in room, heat did not work, noisy, no food on offer in evening. No satellite television Not as advertised.
Location was excellent and the staff were very accommodating.
It is a really nice hotel with huge modern rooms. I will give it 4 stars out of 5. Its difficult to find parking around it, the hotel does not have its own parking thus giving 4 stars.
Location is terrific and rooms size was reasonable extremely noisy on Saturday night, only 2 TV chanels, and management didn't respond well to complaints about noise and people baging on our door during the night-a tad scary!
Owners welcomed us and gave us all the details on what functions we could enjoy if we wished at the hotel as soon as arrived. leaving us to decide what our plans would be. bedroom was spacous, warm and comfortable.
The hotel is extremely central and we had a fantastic room
they were very accommodating to us as we had a 6 month old baby, steriling bottles etc was no issue. The lift is at the other end of the building to the reception.
I found the hotel to be in a perfect location in the town, the room was spotless.
The B&B was lovely and the breakfast was excellent. The view was wonderful too. It was not far from town. Just so difficult to find. It was extremely difficult to find. We had to ask directions twice just to find it. It was not in our GPS at all nor was the road it was on.
AMAZING!!! True Irish hospitality. Immediately we were offered tea and coffee and got to enjoy the sun room. The made to order breakfast was wonderful. This was our favorite B&B the entire trip. Quick 5 minute walk to town. The B&B is on an adorable road nothing
My husband and I loved that it was a 5 minute walk into Kenmare...away from the noise of downtown. Breakfast was wonderful! Our view from our bedroom overlooked the town too! Would highly recommend!
Beautiful room. Good location. Pleasant short walk in to town. No
Lovely sized room that was nicely furnished in a beautiful building I did not like that the mattress protector was sided with plastic. This meant that the part of your body that was in contact with the mattress perspired. I also did not like that there was no tea/coffee making facilities in room nor was there any type of clock. I believe this let the quality of the room down for the price we paid.
High level of staff interest regarding our comfort, willingness to put themselves out for us, beautiful accomodations and location.
Extremely clean and comfortable. Lovely staff - very welcoming and friendly.Location wonderful. No tea/coffee facilities in room
We liked the fact that we could relax. It is a very nice and quiet place, in the nature. We had excellent view through huge windows opposite to the lake. The pictures on the internet are not doing justice to this magnificent hotel! We are definitely recommending it.
We were upgraded - lovely large room. Excellent stay. There was nothing to fault!
Really superb servuice with a smile, wonderful couple run this place. We paid €20 extra for a superior room and it was marvellous. Excellent food. Location location location too, as peace and calm, made us very happy contented guests. You know, I cannot recall a single thing I didnt like! Just simply wonderful and relaxing. Highly recommended
Fantastic place! Very friendly and helpful staff! Would stay there again in a heartbeat!
Fantastic hotel with exceptionally friendly hosts No complaints
Everything, especially the style & comfort and the location.I don't think one can do better in the area.
the atmosphere in the hotel is excellent, staff and management couldn't be more helpfull
The staff were very friendly especially the lady behind the bar who made us feel very welcome. Top marks to her (Sorry didnt get her name). There wasnt anything i didnt like about the Killarney Riverside Hotel.
warm welcoming and the newspaper and wine in room was such a nice gesture.food as always of superb quality
Good location, food is ok, staff very friendly. Restaurant food could have been better for a 4* hotel
very pleasant staff
The hotel was well kept and good public areas
The peace and quiet. Helpful and very pleasant reception staff my only request would be that the resturant staff in the evenings give you more time to choose from the menu as I did feel a bit hassled and eating out was part of my holiday and I wanted to take my time and enjoy choosing and talking etc.
Nice clean warm welcoming hotel Lunch didn't start until 1pm
Location of the hotel was excellent for Town and mountains. The hotel was very clean and modern. The restaurant and bar were lovely.
Location, price, welcome note & complimentary wine in room(I didn't avail of same, but love the idea), comfortable bed, friendly staff. No, very impressed overall.
The room was very light and airy. Felt homely rather than just another hotel room. Also thought the free wine to welcome you was a nice touch Would have liked to have wireless broadband connection. Hotel location not ideal, a little far from the centre of Killarney
Everything about the Riverside Hotel was wonderful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room had a great view and was very comfortable. The free breakfast they offered was very good as well. My wife and I definitely want to return to Killarney and when we do, we will be staying at the Riverside. Nothing
had a lovely stay, room superb, beautiful view's were told at reception that the hotel had spa, but when we went to use it there was a sign saying - out of order ?. lack of communication between the spa and reception .
Location in amazing, just beside wonderfull lake No Wi-Fi in the room
Stunning, quiet location. Loved everything about it no
I thought the staff was very attentive and friendly. The room was very clean and spacious. The bed could be more comfortable.
The view is amazing - had to keep looking at it to prove to myself it was real!! We got upgraded and the room was very comfortable - particularly liked the jacuzzi bath
Very helpful in booking tours and restaurants. Extremely courteous and accommodating staff. The view from our room of the Lake was spectacular! The restaurant dinner menu was limited and the food mediocre for the prices.
It was exceptionally comfortable, an idyllic location, exquisite food and the view from our room was magical. Deer, wading in the reedbeds on the edge of the lake first thing in the morning made me leave the comfort of my room and reach for my camera. What more could one want? Also the proximity to the theatre (10 minutes) and experiencing the first night of Riverdance in Ireland the home of music, dance and humour. Scenery on the Ring of Kerry will remain in my memory for ever. Only the leprechauns were missing, everyone else was there with their welcome to this enchanting haven from the bombardment of noise of humanity in this world. I hope to have the opportunity to return at least once more in my lifetime. You should make it just once in yours, if possible. Nothing at all.
Room / view / restaurant / bar / music in bar / all excellent. Everyywhere was very very very very hot. Bar was stifling. Room was hot. Restaurant a little cooler. I could not see a controller which did not help. I mentioned it when checking out & it seemed it was the first time the check out lady had heard of this issue which surprised me. Based on this I would be slow to return in Autumn / Winter which is a pity as everything else was excellent but if the hotel is too hot it does spoil everything else.
Lovely setting and convenient for town but still quiet surroundings Late night singing in the bar until 02.300 under my room!!
Staff were friendly and helpful. Lighting in the rooms is poor. Towels in the bathroom were a bit old and threadbare
it's central location Parking is a bit dodgy
The friendliness of the staff and the beautiful modern accommodation
Right in the centre of town but surprisingly quiet ie: the best of both worlds. The staff were very nice and went out of their way to look after us. Food in both the bar/restaurant and breakfast room was good.
rooms were very big for the price bracket the air exhaust from kitchen made an awful noise, but did go off completely about 12:30AM
Spacious, comfortable room, friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast!
Room was very wonderful and spacious. Location was perfect, right in the middle of town. Breakfast was wonderful. Very welcoming of their guests. We loved our stay. Bar stayed open late for our group - excellent! The rate was a bit high for the off-season.
The staff was very kind
Excellant staff and owners. Great breakfasts. Wonderful town. Beds were not too comfortable. Shower and hot water difficult.
A great place to stay in the main street of a great town - don't miss it when you travel to Ireland.
Comfortable, well situated, and romantic. Courtious staff. Very nice. Smell of old frying oil, especially in the bar/ rest, not too strong, but there.
Beautiful hotel and great walking distance to center of the town.
Very comfortable, excellent room, extremely friendly staff and atmosphere, in the midst of Killarney town
very comfortable - lots of nice touches. Only that there was no internet access due to them not having a internet cards in stock
Staff were excellent and friendly made stay in killarney very special.
the service was great, anything we asked for was given straight away no
A very stylish an quaint hotel with very helpful staff, and impeccable attention to detail in the room
The staff were very friendly & helpful; Great shower & loved the bath robes No tea/coffee making facilities in our room / noisy generator or fan outside our window
Loved the old, antique style of the hotel. rooms were very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful.
the breakfast and the restaurant. All was very good and the proffesionals very kindle I think the instalations are a little bit old and may be due to that, noisy
Its centrality, good value food and the Irish singers Some young people whose accommodation was nearby made a lot of noise in the early hours.
This is a pub/restaurant with bedrooms on the 2nd and 3rd floors. The pub has live music most nights and plays Irish music the rest of the time. The food in the restaurant is excellent-kerry beef and guiness stew, lamb stew, fish and chips, seafood. The rooms were clean and comfortable-this is not a fancy place.
Beautiful room, comfortable bed with excellent staff and great breakfast the next morning. They run an excellent pub downstairs - I had awesome salmon for tea! It wasn't noisy at all in the room either (but was a Sunday night).
The worm and frienly welcome was excellent. The food was superb. I would highly recommend this Town House. We will stay again and again. Can't wait to go back.
nice friendly staff and very helpful, very comfortable to stay in. great breakfast, television did not work properly, areil kept falling out of the back, apart from that everything else was fine. no internet access
room no one traffic have you awake from 6am
Great Irish music.
The staff were really friendly, they had live music on at nice which was great but the songs they were singing were really sad :( The towels were used in the room we were in, there was a good few hairs on them that didnt belong to us and the bathroom was tiny and not the cleanest
central to town food, drink overpriced compared to other pubs
