The interior design of the villa is cosy. Everything looks new and well maintained. The room decoration is nice and the environment is cosy. For my youtube review, you can access here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aMiIY7wtlAs
The resort look like to be under-staff. All the staff are nice, but always been busy and rush. You may need to wait for table for breakfast during peak hours (breakfast is only being serve up to 10am which is quite short for a resort, tables are not being tidy up in time, people queuing up for food, cups not being refilled on time... The quality of the breakfast is average. The beach is not being well managed. Towel on the used sun loungers are not tidy up. The sun lounger is by first come first serve basis. On one day, lots of sun loungers were being reserved for almost like 40 people I believe not staying in the resort (probably travel group from somewhere). I was refused by a staff to take away one of the sun loungers. The sand is not the finest one in Koh Samui. The supply (tissue paper, cotton buds...) in the room were not refilled. For a beach villa, two small bottles of complimentary water are just not adequate. The water system in the pool was turned off after the first day and fallen leaves kept retain in the private pool . Toilet flush is weak. Privacy of the villa is not adequate, basically people walking outside can see you in the pool through the wooden fence. You may also be able to see the neighbouring villa toilet from your own toilet if you don't keep the curtain down. Some of the above mentioned issues maybe acceptable since this is a 4 stars resort. Considering the price, it is higher than some of the 5 stars resort which I have visited in Koh Samui. I would say this is still nice cosy resort which is close to some site seeing spots.
I have been coming to Thailand for the past 14 years or so, and have stayed in Samui many times. It was my first time staying in Bo Phut, so can't compare to other resorts there, but still, I have to say Peace Resort may very well be the nicest resort I have stayed in so far visiting Thailand. The room (Deluxe Bungalow) was beautifully furnished, very modern looking, with lots of space. They have recently renovated the rooms and it shows. It really was one of the nicest rooms I've been to in all of Thailand. The bungalow is located in a lush and beautifully maintained garden, and we enjoyed sitting in the balcony surrounded by green and birds chirping so much, we hardly ever wanted to leave. The resort has a very nice swimming pool and private beach. You really only have to walk 1 minute from your room to get to the beach, and our bungalow was one of the furthest bungalows so..it's all very close. The resort is also quite close to famous Fisherman's Village (I'd say 10-15 min walking). Monday, Wednesday and Friday is when the night market operates, and the street food in the market is really an awesome experience. Aside from the Fisherman's Village (which is 10-15 min walk or so), you also have plenty of massage places, cafes, restaurants and FamilyMart near by. So you never really have to walk for more than a couple of minutes if you want a massage, grab something to eat, or buy stuff you'd need at a FamilyMart. Aside from all of that, the staff was great, everyone we came in contact with was super nice. and breakfast was delicious as well. We were a young couple in our mid 30's. we were a bit concerned the resort would be too family oriented, and that the pool would be noisy or unpleasant. While we did meet some young families, the resort was always peaceful and very quiet. Overall, I would definitely recommend staying at the resort and would definitely return :)
If there is one thing that we did not like is the water pressure in the shower. while the shower was very beautifully decorated, the water pressure is very weak, even though we were staying in a Bungalow which is on the ground. To be fair, when researching for a resort, I found this to be a recurring remark for many resorts of all types, so could be just a general issue when staying in the island.
Everything. Great location, walking distance to fisherman’s village where we dined most nights. Great facilities, staff were welcoming and friendly. We stayed in a Seaview pool villa which was spacious, very clean and comfortable. The pool was terrific. Despite being some years old the resort is well maintained and like a 5 star, possibly recently refurbished. The breakfast had an abundance of choices for all. The beach is the best on the island, beautiful clear water and swimming. The pool, gym, lounge bars and spa facilities were also great! Loved it. Will be back.
Staff was really useful. Resort is beautiful and well maintained. Location is perfect with walking distance to the village.
Food is a bit overpriced and I was a bit disappointed by the frozen pizza. I guess make sure you stick to Thai food!
Beautiful location, super clean & comfortable bungalows, gorgeous food, sweet @ responsive staff. Couldn’t fault it. The view is outstanding. For peace & relaxation it is perfect.
