Safe Haven in West Hampstead
Stayed in the main house with my grandson, recommend room 6, plenty room to move about with lovely big recently renovated bathroom with shower. Good Breakfast with plenty of choice and friendly staff to welcome you. Great area with all the travel links to Central London , plenty of great restaurants , you need to try Lola's organic bakery minutes walk from guest house on main road, everyone was really friendly in west Hampstead , the guys in the underground were super helpful helping to plan our route around the underground, from getting to legoland ,one day, and the next day , Harry Potter .
Really hot and couldn't sleep even though windows wide open, not the guesthouse fault, I would happily have paid to hire a fan for the room.
Ideal location for a weekend break - 20 mins tube ride from central London.
Staff friendly. Hotel needs modernising and refurbishing.
I had stayed in the en suite double room for 7 nights 2 weeks ago. The room was really tidy and clean. Hot water and the heating was working perfectly fine. The staff were really friendly even when we made our check-in at 4.30 am in the morning. The breakfast was really nice with the options of continental and full english. The location is not excellent but it is totally acceptable as you can take the bus, underground (jubilee line is always closed on weekends) and overground. Very good value for money. I would definitely stay there again...
Size of the double bed is a bit small for 2 normal sized people. So it might be better for couples to book a twin room. The room was a bit small to spend a lot of time inside but perfect just to spend the night warm and clean.
very good service, friendly staff
The room was warm and nice and the location was perfect - great connection to train, overground, underground and busses.
The breakfast was a bit to little but good and the bed was to soft.
I loved the fact that staff were very friendly, breakfast was great and the location was perfect. Near to both under and overground and train station. Even the bus station was just around the corner. Perfect location!
Actually we were pleased with everything, except one thing...our money was stolen from our room from one of their staff.
Booked a twin room confirmed twin room had a double. No twin rooms available. No windows room very stuffy
Room was very tatty, thread bare, rucked up carpets. Leaking toilet. Curtains dirty and hanging down, kitchen chairs unsafe. Hole in kitchen floor covering. Two of the four kitchen mugs badly chipped
Plenty of space in room and contained en-suite shower.
Kettle could have been closer to socket from table. For prevention of spilling boiling water on carpet.
The Charlotte Guest House is a small, intimate bed and breakfast in London that emphasizes its service to both leisure guests and business travelers. The biggest amenity offered by the hotel is the breakfast itself because there are a lot of different options including the traditional English breakfast, eggs served any style, toasted sandwiches, the continental breakfast and also there are ham and cheese melts available. All of the breakfast options are served with the choice of coffee or tea. There are also plenty of vegetarian options for guests who prefer a breakfast that lacks meat.
As for the rooms at the Charlotte Guest House, there are 43 different rooms that are located in 5 different buildings on the property. There are several different types of rooms, including en-suite options (a private bathroom) or options with a shared bathroom. The triple and quad rooms are the biggest rooms, however the single room mini is a good option for solo travelers. Couples will enjoy the single and double rooms. Many of the rooms also have pricing that includes breakfast, otherwise the breakfast would be a separate charge. Rooms also include a television and free wi-fi, these amenities allow you to relax after a day spent out and about experiencing all that London has to offer.
The Charlotte Guest House is an ideal place to stay for people looking to enjoy a luxurious vacation in one of the world’s great cities. This hotel makes you feel like you are staying with an old friend thanks to the personalized attention.
