Quite comfortable classic
Friendly Staff, location of hotel and cleanliness of bedroom and bath.
Bed mattress needs updating, pillows were terribly flat and bedding could have been upgraded (a thicker duvet).
Good but smelled a bit smokey
staff was pleasant and breakfast was nice. room was a decent size and bathroom was decently sized. location was great for us.
room smelled like smoke. don't know if it was but we didn't say anything like we probably should have, but we didn't spend a lot of time there.
The staff were warm and friendly, breakfast was good. The English-style rooms were clean and decent.
Its a bit far from the Metro station but not a problem and indeed a pleasant stroll to the nearesr metro station during summertime.
Reception was immaculate and well designed, bookin friendly and painless.Room very clean and had everything we needed.Excellent value for ourselves and our small companion dog.Unfortunately could not sample breakfast due to visiting relative in hospital.Express book out facility useful.
Room a little too hot but window does open a limited amount. We are used to a much larger bed but certainly would not grumble for the price especially in this area of London.
When it comes to Europe’s great cities, the list isn’t really that long because there are some cities that just stand head and shoulders above the rest, and right at the top of that list is London. London is a repository for all the great things of English culture. Whether it is visiting Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, or many of the other medieval and modern sights, there is so much to take in during a visit to London. Having a great place to stay is important, and that’s why the Lancaster Gate Hotel is preferred by travelers.
The Lancaster Gate Hotel puts you right in the middle of London. One of the best parts about London is the mass transit system will get you anywhere you need to go. While many sights are within walking distance, so is the Tube. With free internet and dry-cleaning services, there is something offered for every type of traveler in this hotel. Business travelers and leisure travelers will enjoy the large rooms with windows providing a great view of Hyde Park.
Dining in London is fairly impressive. The hotel has in-house dining at the Serpentine Restaurant and Bar. There are lots of great English favorites here along with other traditional foods. However, if you’re looking to experience local restaurants, there are plenty within walking distance. A great thing to enjoy are the chip stands where you can get the very best fish and chips.
Staying at the Lancaster Gate Hotel is a great choice for anyone visiting this great city.
