Great location, loads of public transport options to get you all over London. The room was modern and clean. Raj and the rest of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay again.
The noise from the street was quite loud over the weekend, it wasn't a problem mid week though!
Room was cold. Window would not close.
The location was brilliant for what we needed. It was close to the event we were attending as well as having brilliant transport links into central London. It was also very easy to find from the station. The general cleanliness of the room was very good.
There were a few things that really disappointed me about this stay. Firstly, the room did not look anything like the pictures. It was incredibly small, did not consist of any space to sit and eat as indicated in the photos. Secondly, the hotel seems to be in the middle of a renovation, which we were not aware of. There was plastic covering on all the stairs, wires on the floor on the corridors (which reminded there the whole time we stayed), and gaping holes on walls. When we got into our room the curtains were closed (as it was 8 pm when we checked in) and it was fairly cold. It wasn't until the morning when we opened the curtains we saw that the window (taped in duct tape) had been left open and didn't actually shut (huge security concern!!). I let reception know and when we returned later that day they said it had been fixed. I was shocked when I went back down to say it had not been fixed to have a member of staff say that he had fixed it, I ensured him it definitely wasn't and he said that it must have been me that broken it again. To top it off the fire alarm went off at 2am! Not a great stay for £244.
I was looking for a place to stay in Battersea that wasn't too expensive nor too cheap. The room was large and the shower was great. It was close to transport (bus, and train to gatwick).
Although I was told upon check in that the hotel was under refurbishment I was surprised to see some plaster work in my room unfinished. The room was otherwise already refurbished. Also, my room number was written on the door in pencil. I would have thought that a hotel would complete a room before moving on to another to limit the impact on its guests.
Went just to see family, friendly hotel, good staff.
