Got a price that looked great, but when I got there not only did they have an inferior car to the one I booked, that they tried to pass off, but the price they charged was over 40% higher than when I booked online. (Looking at the other reviews, I'm not the only one in this position) I walked out after confirming that they wouldn't charge me anything, and they charged me over 90 dollars (in dispute with credit card). Drop off and pick up was incredibly slow, the shuttle runs like once an hour and the staff is in no hurry either. Literally took me 90 min to pick up and drop off, and there were no lines to wait in. If it weren't for the incredibly cheap rates, there's no way this place would be in business. The service was really lacking, the rental office looks like an old shed, and the staff is dishonest, trying to charge you for "damage" to the vehicle that clearly was there when you picked up the car. The Pickup was the worst pickup scenario I've ever seen. There's a kiosk to 'skip the line' that you can use, but you need to get in the line after anyway. We had to deposit about $1200. The pickup process took about 2 hours. The car we received wasn't the class we requested, nor clean.Cons:

If you know how many people booked surely you can make the pick up a lot smoother. The other carhire companies did not seem to be having the same problems. At LHR there is a transfer bus to the rental zone but this came quick and the driver was helpful. No hard sell on fuel insurance etc., but I could see several less experienced renters being given the spiel.Cons:

The rental agency refused to offer the Allianz insurance policy I purchased through Kayak. They would not honor the rate I booked through Kayak. Since I was taking a driving trip around Scotland and a quick search of other rental agencies showed no available cars I had to agree to paying more than $200 more than the rate I originally booked to have a car for my trip. The staff at Fox / Easirent was extremely nice and accommodating, even helping me purchase an upgrade so that I could have GPS while driving. The car was great and served me well through all the tight squeezes in the Highlands. Pickup and drop-off were simple, and I was given a courtesy lift to the airport.Cons:
I was a bit unpleasantly surprised by the extra charges that came with booking the car. I was originally set in for about $70, but then also had to pay a 50 GBP tax that I hadn't been aware of in the booking, and had a hold for 1200 GBP put on my credit card in case there should be any damage. Maybe I'm just used to renting in the States, where that hold is usually just around $200, but this was very surprising, and I wish it had been mentioned when making the booking!2.0 Poor

Got talked into an upgrade & extra insurance by a very pushy salesman. I signed for it after voicing my shock at the price but £206 for 4days was outrageous & spoiled my whole weekend. The so called free half tank of fuel isn't free (£30)& I only used a quarter tank. It was a very stressful & expensive experience. I won't repeat it.2.0 Poor

We missed our connecting flight when flying to Edinburgh so to be courteous we reached out to Fox to let them know that we would be arriving at 11 pm instead of 7 pm. When we arrived the attendant said that he could see that our reservation for 7 pm had been deleted and the reservation for 11 pm hadn't showed up in his system. He acknowledged the confirmation email when we showed it to him but said that he could not give us a car because he couldn't access the order in his system. We were forced to take a 30 pound cab ride to our hotel and went with a different rental car company the next day. Emails sent to the customer service address received prompt responses while updating our timeline, but they completely stopped responding when we asked for a refund on our order. We will never consider using Fox in the future.6.0 Okay

The car was brand new and very nice, but I had to wait an hour in line. Also they were not at the rental car village with the rest of the airport car rental places, you had to go to the bus terminal for a shuttle as it is off-site from the airport.Cons:
I was charged 170 pounds ($220 USD) for just scratching on the hubcaps on one side. No cracks, still perfectly fine and could just be polished up. So they way overcharged for something small. Dropped off the car in front of the hotel as rental bays were about 70m walk from hotel entrance and we had A LOT of luggage. The Thrifty Associate came out to check the car while we unloaded the luggage, so we could catch the next bus to the airport terminal. He then parked the car for us in the rental bays. Everything done in 5 minutes - couldn't have asked for a better drop-off experience.Cons:

But as I had provided my driving license I paid from my debit card but for security deposit we asked the favor to use my husband’s Visa card instead of accommodating us us they were extremely rude. Pros:
A totally awful experience. I arrived promptly at the arranged pick-up time. In the reception there were three positions at the reception desk, all manned with staff. I was the only person in line to be seen behind a couple who were already being dealt with - leaving two available desks/ staff. The two available staff members were eagerly attempting to look busy in an almost empty office, sitting a mere two meters away from me. They didn’t have the courtesy to look up or acknowledge that I was quite clearly waiting to be seen. I took my place in the “queue” and waited. I eventually waited 20 minutes before being acknowledged; “you’ll be seen soon”, no apology or reassurance. During my lengthy wait I overheard the way in which the staff member was talking to the couple who were collecting a vehicle. Extremely rude, very blunt with an attitude suggesting that the they really didn’t care for their custom. There was absolutely no care, just rudeness. In this time someone had walked in to drop back a car. I then overhead that conversation. The customer took the car some days before and had queried some existing damage, not detailed on report. He reported it before taking the car and was told by the staff that it was fine and no one needed to sign or add it to his document (I later had the same conversation). Now when he’s returned the car they were denying all record of the conversation, saying it’s new damage. When he asked about getting the deposit back the staff member said something like “you have no proof, it’s our word against yours so I will decide on if you get your deposit back”. I was in complete shock at how two different members of staff had dealt with two different customers. That’s just not how you speak to people here in 2018. Before even dealing with someone I had already had a very uncomfortable experience, genuinely feeling bad for the customers. At this stage I felt regret and I was seriously considering walking out, losing my money and finding another company who I trusted. I just had an awful feeling about the business. Now almost half an hour after walking in to this environment I was prompted forward by an uninviting “yes?” by an employee who claimed to be named “B”. This was the same staff member who had just been rude to the customer returning their car. (I still find it difficult to believe that this is her real name, but she insisted it was). She looked at my documents before telling me I had to get back in the line and wait for her colleague as he is using the system that is needed for my rental. So I waited another 10/15 minutes before the male staff member was available. As it was now 45 minutes since walking in i was running late for my plans. Conscious of this I had everything in my hand ready to go; booking voucher, passport, driving licence, DVLA check code, card I booked with, credit card for the deposit. ... [continues below]Cons:
[continued]... The man called me forward and took my documents. There was some faffing around; he asked me for documents he was already holding and generally not looking like he knew what he was doing. After a couple of minutes I was then passed back to “B” who strangely was now able to help me from her same computer that she’s couldn’t help me from 15 minutes ago. I could see through into the room with “manager” written on the door. I could clearly read a targets board on the wall measuring the staff’s targets and numbers. These targets included extra insurance and to my horror “damage”. These people appear to be targeted on finding damage. This further fuelled my negitive opinion of this company. We completed the paperwork and was handed some keys and pointed towards the door. No direction of where to find the car. Thankfully I quickly located the dirty vehicle. Following what I had just experienced and having absolutely no trust in the staff or company, I thoroughly inspected the vehicle. I identified some new damage on the car and went back to speak to “B”. Just as the previous customer had claimed, she told me to that they don’t need to sign anything or make any notes on documents or systems. This still makes no sense at all.
