Cons: The location was awful.

Location off the beaten track but off-set by the funicular which gave easy access to the Old Town which was as lively as we needed. A nice walk across the rivers to the modern shopping area's A wonderful restaurant adjoins the hotel for an exceptional dinner.

Cons: Shower could be improved
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We needed to extend our trip by an additional night, so when we checked in the hotel upgraded us to a beautiful suite with a gorgeous view of Lyon. We could even see the snow covered Alps many miles away. We had a beautiful terrace as well. The European breakfast is really great too. If business brought us back to Lyon, we'd request the same room.
Cons: Like many hotels in Europe, this hotel doesn't have a top sheet on the bed. So in order to sleep covered you needed to use the comforter which I personally found this too warm. Just personal preference.

Pros: the bathroom was immense the breakfast takes place at the tables of the restaurant 'les telephones' basically people sit in the corridor of the former couvent. it's original the place is very quiet
Cons: the location has a lot of cachet but the room felt blend it is supposed to be a former couvent but the rooms have been redecorated without any reference to its history

Pros: Excellent for families - hotel in a nice park with a playground. junior suite is spacious and has an extra room for the baby cot. Nice spa and swimming pool for the full family. Great on site restaurant - where parents can chill while children sleep in the room nearby. Will come back!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Bedroom very spacious, comfortable bed, great powerful shower, restaurant was very good. Staff on reception were very friendly and helpful. I will stay there again.
Cons: No kettle / coffee machine was present in the bedroom (this would be good, especially as there were no nearby Cafes/Pubs open late at night)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful building and setting. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the place was super clean.
Cons: Location - fair, challenging walk down to the old town and city. The spa was disappointing but only because I’d imagined it to be larger. It had a steam room but no sauna. Nowhere to relax inside the spa with loungers outside next to the swimming pool.

Pros: Service was Exceptional Unreal Restaurant Romantic Great bar and Lounge English a non-issue (if you don't speak French) Very Comfortable
Cons: Room was a bit small and shower/tub was quirky but to be expected being used to American Hotels.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: This is my second stay at this hotel and the rooms are large clean and very comfortable. Tea making facilities and a good hairdryer are available which are both a must for me. Location is right next to the train station and tram stop and a large local shopping centre. I did not eat at the hotel so I cannot comment on the breakfast or if it was worthy of a 16€ price tag. Restaurant looked clean and was busy most evenings.
Cons: Toilet being separated from the shower room felt a little disjointed would be my only dislike about my room.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast pleasant staff very good location
Cons: Shower keep clogging
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect.
Cons: Nothing
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel next to the train station. Friendly staff, very big and comfortable room, and excellent mattress and pillows. Despite my room overlooking the train station, thanks to good windows the room was absolutely quiet.
Cons: Don't expect a view from this hotel, as one side is station/tracks, the other a large street. But the comfort of the room more than compensates this
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Room always clean, good location
Cons: Reception staff was not good. If you can only speak English but not French then think twice coz they will misunderstand you but blame that they didnt understand so you have to suck it up.
Okko Hotels Lyon Pont Lafayette - Lyon - Building

8.8 Excellent (3,131 reviews)
Overview Reviews
A stay at OKKO Hotels Lyon Pont Lafayette places you in the heart of Lyon, within a 15-minute walk of Lyon Opera and Lyon City Hall. Featured amenities include a computer station, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and a 24-hour front desk.
7.7 Good
Pros: The staff were all young and obliging very nice experience
Cons: The rooms were not very comfortable with only only place to relax really bring the bed but I guess that's what you call funky!!
4.0 Okay
Pros: There is no reason that Okko Hotels Lyon Pont Lafayette, should not be a decent hotel.
Cons: The management of Okko Hotels Lyon Pont Lafayette did not seem to take the health of their guests very seriously. I have allergies but a very poor sense of smell, so the first few days of my stay I was unable to pin down the bad smell in my room. On the third day when the smell got much, much worse and I started having problems with my allergies I realized it was mold. Mold could give me an asthma attack. The guy at the front desk tried to fix the problem but only made it worse. He was nice but informed me that in spite of my health concerns there was nothing more that he could do. They had no more rooms so I would have to spend the night there. They seemed to have no one on call that could fix serious problems, and no policy to deal with this type of issue. I contacted Hotel.com who tried to fix the problem but Okko never answered their calls. So in December I slept with the windows open. The next day they changed my room. I asked four times to speak to their manager to explain how series this could be as a problem and that they did not want to make someone seriously ill. I was there for three more days and was never contacted by anyone in management. It really did not seem like they took the health of their guest very seriously.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I like the room the club room for drinking and relaxing and the balcony and the beautiful view of the Rhône river
Cons: The bathroom shd be the toilet then the shower coz it wet the floor when I went to the toilet

Pros: Everithing: Services, Staff, Food, Location, the Club from 18:30 to 21:30.
Cons: Missing the fridge from the room. Heating system is not so effective in the room.
6.0 Good
Pros: The hotel is passable but rather tired. It really could do with some updating. The breakfast was simple but good and the atmosphere was pleasant.
Cons: I didn't find the room very clean or comfortable.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location was fabulous, you can walk to all of the main attractions in Lyon. The breakfast was also a great part of our stay complemented by the evening complimentary canapés and drinks available to guests
Cons: We did struggle with the door leading into the partitioned bathroom. We were offered a change of room but didn’t want to give up the lovely view we had across the river into the old city
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the free snacks, breakfast, endless soft drinks/water. The rooms were cozy as well with really comfortable beds and pillows. Staff is also very friendly. The manager saw our big suitcase and gave us a bigger room, so we could be comfortable. I thought that was really nice, and he always had a smile on his face!
Cons: The bathroom door was a little uncomfortable because it was heavy and wouldn't stay open, but that was a minor discomfort compared to everything else.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The central location, view of the Rhone River, nice room, great terrace, breakfast, and very professional and helpful staff.
Cons: strange perfume smell to the room.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location and a cosy & comfortable room.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location for Part Dieu train station, friendly staff, superb breakfast and overall really good value for money! Highly recommended
Cons: Nothing!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room was extremely spacious, with a very large bathroom. We found it extremely quiet, particularly when we lowered the external shutters. There was a Nespresso machine in the room and tea and coffee were topped up daily. The staff were helpful and friendly.
Cons: We found that there was a lack of hanging and shelf space for clothing. This was a shame given there was ample space in the room for more storage. The hotel is located in a nice residential area close to the station and many great cafes and restaurants, but it was quite a long walk to the main tourist attractions on the Presque’Ile and in Vieux Lyon.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Hôtel Edmond was a very comfortable stay. It was beautifully decorated and the room and bathroom was spacious and very comfortable! The front desk staff was super friendly and made sure to provide me with any recommendations they had. I only stayed two nights so I made sure to choose a hotel closer to the train station rather than the center of Lyon. I would stay at this hotel again and rent a bicycle to get into town!
Cons: The elevator wasn’t working one of the days. Not a huge deal but the cleaning staff was friendly but a bit messy according to American standards. Their materials scattered throughout the hallways, making it hard to walk by and after they were finished there was still debris in the hallway and on the stairs
9.0 Excellent
Pros: A very fair price. The duplex room was excellent and very clean. Nespresso machine on the room, free water available in the lobby. The delicious breakfast is served in a cosy atmosphere. Close to the metro, bars and restaurants!
Cons: Nothing
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely boutiquey hotel in a well connected and pleasant location. Modernised but full of character, very clean throughout and with excellent staff who all spoke good English. Breakfast is good, with a basic but nice quality selection of food and drink.
Cons: Laminated wooden floors look great and are very clean but do transmit noise from rooms above.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good position, quiet room, clean
Cons: The rooms are very small but well organized
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, well designed and clean rooms. Good breakfast and the staff are excellent, very friendly and helpful but not intrusive. A great place to stay in a good location in Lyon. Close to the main station and the centre.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: We booked this hotel because of its proximity to Part Dieu, which is very convenient. But all the other aspects of our stay were very pleasant too! The front office staff was very welcoming, the bathroom was huge compared to the price we payed for one night. I especially liked the attention to detail of the interior design of the rooms. It made for a very comforting atmosphere!
Cons: The quality of the wifi connection was very poor. However, as we just stayed in the hotel for a short time, we didn't try fixing it with the help of the staff - maybe there would have been an easy solution.

6.0 Good
Pros: Room was a good size and the food was very good.
Cons: Check in process was terrible, a big group came in and kept jumping ahead Also the toilet was broken and although was fixed once I asked, it should have been sorted when the room was cleaned prior to my stay
5.0 Okay
Pros: The room was big comfortable, elegant and nice.
Cons: Please remove the pictures of the whirlpool on other sites. I made the reservation at your hotel because I thought there was still the whirlpool. The choice for breakfast was much poorer than the other times (fruit, cereals...) but the staff in the breakfast area was efficient and nice. People at the front desk were not very helpful and efficient. We waited 30 minutes for the bus to reach the hotel from the town center in the late evening. The location is not good.
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Although this may be more of a business hotel it was great for our family. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and exceptionally clean. The hotel design and layout gives it the feel of a 5* property. Upgrade to club level because the lounge is great and the breakfast in the restaurant which will be included is fantastic.
Cons: It was a little farther from the city center of Lyon than what I would have thought, but there is public transport and Uber.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: We had a very short stay and the apartment was very well appointed and clean. The hosts very accommodating. Only downfall was no fan/air conditioning (which we are used to for sleeping). Close to Metro and nice selection of Restaurants.
Cons: N/A
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Spacious & well equipped
Cons: No air conditioning but we knew this & is a minor point
7.5 Good
Pros: Every thing else. Tastefully decorated, clean all needed facilities for a short stay. Bath is amazing.
Cons: The apartment is open to owners who are running and living on upper floor, so there is a privacy issue. Once you park the car in the underground parking you can't take it out before departure which restricts movement.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is an apartment in a building some distance out of the center, but right next to a metro station that brings you to Bellecour square in a couple of minutes, so location is convenient and yet quiet. The apartment itself is very fancy with a luxury spa tub, a nice terrace and large rooms. Lots of nice stuff like coffee machine and courtesy juice, water, sweets and pastries. Breakfast was also very nice, served on the rooftop terrace which you can reach from within the apartment by stairs. Owners were super nice and friendly. They speak enough English to explain everything that is needed, and are very helpful! Finally, very good value!
Cons: This apartment doesn’t have A/C. I stayed during an extreme heat wave (temps over 38C) and it was still fine, but if you are very sensitive to heat and plan to visit during summer, you would be aware. Most similar places in Lyon don’t have A/C ... (they do have heating).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a wonderful stay. Good location, 5 min away from metro. The rooms are clean. The owners are friendly and make you feel welcome. They are very helpful and can speak English. Excellent breakfast. Merci beaucoup.
Cons: -- a very minor thing: the bathroom water tap is a bit ... different. Is difficult to wash your hands under the water jet (probably was suppose to let the water in the sink and wash that way…but didn’t felt like doing that)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The couple that run this apartment rental are so kind and lovely. Our flight was delayed and we ended up arriving really late and they still gave us a warm welcome so we immediately felt at home. The apartment itself is beautiful, there is a jacuzzi and lovely terrace. The bed was comfortable, shower worked great, it was spotlessly clean. I really can't fault it at all. The location was great, even though it's outside the centre the metro is a two minute walk away. They provide lots of information about places to visit in Lyon. The breakfast was delicious with lots of options. I would absolutely recommend you stay here, our only regret was we couldn't stay longer!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were friendly and willing to make our stay as enjoyable as possible
Cons: Nothing

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Eggs every morning were made to our liking. Room was comfortable. Mimi even did our wash for us as we were traveling for several weeks prior. Great people.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hosts were super friendly and nice as well as helpful. Provided information about Lyon was exceptional. Breakfast was sooooo tasty!
Cons: Outside noise (loud motorcycles) but of course this is out of the influence of the Le Jardin.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Delightful and most thoughtful hosts. Fabulous location. Cozy accommodations. Provided excellent recommendations and went out of their way to assist us. A perfect stay!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Mimi and her husband are very accomplished hosts and particularly we would like to thank Mimi for the efforts made on our behalf. The location is good, facilities also good, access to the city is straightforward enough albeit a bit of a hike on the way home! We were also grateful for secure parking adjacent to the property.
Cons: I would have preferred a walk in shower rather than a bath shower, plus it would have been nice to have been a bit warmer (maybe we didn’t manage the heaters too well...) as it’s November.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Good location and friendly owner
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is excellent. Hidden above the hustle & bustle of a busy city. A fabulous walk down through the old part of the city. Our room was delightful and Mimi & Nicolas warm friendly and very helpful.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We didn't get to stay in the room much, because we were there to see Lyon, but it was just fantastic. Actually now that I think of it, it was the nicest part of the trip. Very helpful friendly staff, very clean and elegant hotel, great bathroom, very comfortable. We chose the breakfast option which was very good buffet with good options for all. I greatly recommend
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Superb small hotel. Unbeatable location. Charming, willing staff.
Cons: Nothing!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location for exploring Lyon both the central shopping area and across to Vieux Lyon. Plenty of good, typical brasseries and restaurants within a short walk. Also a few minutes walk from the fantastic re-developed Hotel Dieu, a vast project competed in June 2019, that now with masses of groovy shops, bars and cafes as well as a very elegant Intercontinental Hotel--a must-see! MGallery Hotel has been converted from an historic building and has retained much of the charm and features of the original, such as the modern elevator installed in the historic elevator space. Great, friendly and very helpful staff. Good breakfast.
Cons: Tiny room with no desk, so using a computer meant balancing it on the knees on the bed. Most inconvenient and a real pain for those of us who need to do some work. Tiny bathroom.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable and great location. Helpful staff.
Cons: Rooms small, and drinks and good very expensive.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location- central and perfect. Beautiful area. Kind and help staff- exceptional. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Showing some age but still nicely appointed. Small rooms but average for France I think. Move mod to a Junior Suite- larger and fantastic view. Over hotel is a winner.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable top quality bed and linen. Very quiet due to double layer windows, but could be noisy in summer if you want to sleep with open windows. Nice combination of modern and upcycled elements.
Cons: No coat hook next to the otherwise spacious entrance. Position of lavabo and faucet non-practical. Tiled floor in bathroom very cold. Attention - swimsuit obligatory in spa!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff, central location
Cons: Would have preferred if hotel had on site restaurant serving dinner

2.5 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: They changed my Hotel after I received the confirmation to a Very Bad hotel like hostel giving us single and very small beds. Very unprofessional. Never ever will book with Sofitel again, regardless of my numerous trips all around the world.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location (overlooking the river and really in the center of the city) - extremely convenient
Cons: Not too much to dislike. Room was slightly smaller than what I would expect from a 5 star
7.5 Good
Pros: We booked a river suite and got an upgrade to an even bigger one with a big comfy bed and pillows Which we’re lovely on a cold Lyon night! The hotel is very old and tired but still has an elegance about it.
Cons: No English movie channel available

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location! The room was nice and quiet, and also very clean. We appreciated that. The staff speaks very good English. All in all good value for the money.
Cons: The toilet in our room was a bit weird. We liked that it was separate from the bathroom, but it was behind the sliding door that seemed more like a paper door. Otherwise, everything else was great.
