Pros: Staff friendly and efficient
Cons: Weather!
3.8 Mediocre
Cons: Everything
6.0 Good
Pros: The buildings are really beautiful also the swimming pool area is nice. The private beach here is amazing.
Cons: Even Ritz Calton claimed itself as a luxury hotel, I feel like this is the worst 5 stars hotel experience for me. When we arrived, we didn't get any welcome drinks and the front desk didn't even introduce the hotel to me. She didn't give us a map of the resort and I didn’t know that the hotel had a private beach (I checked it myself later on the website lol). I didn’t even know where and when for the breakfast, everything just like a joke. I need to asked everything myself! Furthermore, I booked a double room with sea view but I can only see a little bit of the sea, my balcony is facing at the resort view. Moreover, the floor in my room is dirty, feel lots of dust and sand. (My sole of foot just turned black in 10 minutes after we arrived) This resort doesn't deserve this price, I had stayed in so many luxury hotels around the world and I feel this time is the worst also feel very disappointed.
6.0 Good
Pros: Adult pool and beach
Cons: Too impersonal and busy Too americanised and slow service

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotel in a nice town a few minutes walk away. Food good in main restaurant however some of the specialist restaurants seemed to struggle. Large garden areas and a small beach outside of the main complex
5.0 Okay
Pros: Outside facilities are very nice and plants are taken care for. (adding some photos to public album) Infinity pool is cool (thou water is a bit too "cool") and sunbath area is pleasant, incl. Adult-only area. Nice view to ocean from terrace restaurants and bars. Nice courtyard with fountains. Nice balcony with suite+ room.
Cons: Our "Master Suite with Resort View" had terrible view (see photos) Probably I got this room because I have eastern-European name and booked via major Internet booking portal. Room furniture was quite nice but looked a bit tired, total 4 power sockets for 2-room suite, 1 socket for 3 powered kitchen appliances (micro, kettle, espresso) - quite annoying. Staff took right to have loud discussions over our head while you sit right there trying to enjoy your breakfast. Not only once.
6.8 Good
Pros: Liked the rooms, the pools, the public areas, the location for Alcala.
Cons: The breakfast food was very average. So we ate in town for all other meals (good selection of places nearby). Sunbeds were poor with no matresses. I had a good stay but came away thinking it was a 3 star package holiday hotel passing itself off as 5 star because of the 'red level' bit attached to it.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable, relaxed , convenient . Excellent pool facilities.
Cons: Restaurants are over priced for the food provided. A few small restaurants around the corner from the resort are better value Small negative in an other wise fabulous holiday.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Facilities, cleanness, staff
Cons: Food at the buffet
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable Staff extremely helpful Very good and spacious grounds
Cons: Food in most restaurants could have been warmer Buffet costs very expensive
7.0 Good
Pros: The hotel is fantastic one of the best I have stayed at
Cons: unfortunately why we was there there was a sand storm I don’t think the hotel was ready for it and didn’t have a back up plan, people staying had nothing to do all pools where shut and lounging was out of bounds due to high winds, there was a lot of waiting time for breakfast lunch and dinner, we had no water replenished in our room for the three days we were there and no tea or coffee whilst I understand that the storm was not the fault of the hotel I believe the hotel should have been better prepared for such an eventuality, I would 100% stay again and hope that the hotel learn from the points I have raised.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: At breakfast there was not as much variety as some other hotels of the same rank, but the cooed breakfast was fresh and hot Very elegant in the main areas. Good quality toiletries. Hotel coped as well as possible during the Calima with all the dust. the room service meal was very good.
Cons: Pool areas were poorly designed, too much pool which looked pretty but not enough room to swim. Wifi was very erratic.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and quick service throughout our stay - immediately felt right at home! The rooms are fantastic and very comfortable, and the facilities are superb and in great condition. The lagoon pool is idyllic and spacious - it feels like.your own saltwater paradise to float around in. The breakfast is huge and all of the options (hot and cold food, wide variety of drinks) are delicious. Great start to the day. For the price, this is a fantastic resort, and we will definitely return!
Cons: While in general everything was fantastic, the quality of food and service at the restaurants could be better. Service staff seemed at times preoccupied, and the food is nice but not more than that
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The facility was excellent the staff were kind, and, very friendly. Paola, Christina , very pleasant: even when you felt that you were asking for too much, they were ready to help with a smile.
Cons: Inconsistency in cleaning the rooms! Noticed neglect in the way that the rooms were cleaned. The shadow :-(of previous guests remained, on the tables, chairs, ( not thoroughly cleaned) but when you asked they happily corrected it.
Allegro Isora - Guía de Isora - Building
3
7.8 Good (3,192 reviews)
Overview Reviews
The Allegro Isora (belonging to the Barceló Hotel Group and formerly the Barceló Varadero) is a splendid hotel next to the beach on the wonderful Canary island of Tenerife. This land in the middle of the Atlantic has a special charm. From the moment they land, visitors are inspired to discover Tenerife's fascinating places, its cuisine, people and landscapes with nature in its purest state.
5.0 Okay
Pros: very good
Cons: there was a bad smell in the room like dry water locks, loose toilet seat and missing toilet brush
5.0 Okay
Pros: Friendly staff, good food, clean, three pools of different sizes, two open at the time; early season, perhaps. Room was spacious. A lot of facilities and activities possible on-site. A good location with a local bus stop right outside. Walk one way and you're in the centre of Puerto de Santiago in a few minutes. Walk down a hill across the road and you quickly come to a lovely coastal walkway which leads to natural sea pools for swimming and many recreational spots along the way, all the way to the town of Alcala and beyond. Easy to get to different spots by bus and bike also.
Cons: Room keys frequently didn't work, mechanisms clearly old and well-used. On the last day I had to give up trying to get in because of it and get it fixed at desk. Went half-board but still had to pay for water with dinner. Beds not very comfortable. Biggest and only real complaint: My flight returned to Dublin on first day because of sandstorms which closed every airport in the Canary Islands, so I arrived a day late. However, a request for a discount was refused and yet they told me the hotel was full. Therefore, they were charging twice for that room (I had to wait for it to be cleaned, so it was in use) , once for the night I wasn't there and someone else was, and then still charged me for that night also. Very poor corporate attitude.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Lots of choice for food for all meals. Room was spacious and accessible. Pool was lovely. Took note that it was my mams birthday and left a treat in the room. Entertainment and outside bar was great.
Cons: Check in was incredibly slow - took around 30 minutes! Bathroom could have been a little cleaner (not dirty as such, just old and stained)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Walking distance to a black sand beach.. lovely swimming pools, loved the games.. the hotel is so clean, they were constantly cleaning everything which is good to see.
Cons: Had a couple of issues with the room keys but that’s it.. everything else was perfect.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Overall it was very good
Cons: I had my handbag stolen from the bar of the hotel and reception staff were not at all helpful.
6.7 Good
Pros: The receptionist was very helpful I think here name was Helena, she phoned round and found a room for us which essentially saved us from having to sleep rough outside with an 18 month old baby as no hotels with rooms after the whole airport was closed. It was an expensive stay bit I suppose this is because it was booked last minute
Cons: I booked this hotel as an emergency after my flight was cancelled. I arrived and they said that they had no rooms although I have a booking confirmation, though I expect that is more fault of booking.com than the hotel.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Breakfast, location, and pool area. The animation team was also very nice.
Cons: Rudeness of staff. The cleaning standards of the rooms were terrible. The check in time is something that is not adhered to. Its all very messy.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Got the hotel when flights were cancelled.
Cons: Too crowded Not very clean Old and needs renovation Food wasn’t great, but that’s what you get for the price

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect apartment with everything you need in excellent condition
Cons: First apartment we have been offered was quite noisy and we had to stay one night before moving on to the quite one. The web application did not work.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quiet and very clean
Cons: Nothing
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was fine. The apartment, the thee swimming pools and their locations together with the Reception Building overlooking the Golf Course, the Ritz Carlton and the sea with its restaurant etc were quite stunning and very well maintained. All the staff that we met were cheerful and helpful except for one caveat - see below.
Cons: We found that even though the tennis courts were always underused and we sometimes played over the hourly period for a short time we were immediatly hit with another hourly charge which we considered to be rather grasping .This spoilt the generally very good relations and atmosphere built up by the staff. It should be noted that one of the reasons that we booked at Las Terrazzas was for the tennis and compared to other resorts that we have stayed and played in ,it did not represent value for money
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent facilities
Cons: The noise. Construction going in on adjoining site and very intrusive when trying to relax .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the accommodation, only downside, the restaurant wasn’t always open.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Perhaps because of situation but it was very calm and quite. The swimming pool was nearly private.
Cons: The noise of constructions in the field next to the resort. Roomservice was very, very expensive relative to a visit to the restaurant. Also the food was completely cold when delivered. A ‘typical Canarian fish’ seemed to be a small piece of salmon, all alone on the plate. This for 23€ is the most expensive, simple dish I was eating in my 60 years.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The quality of hotel, accommodation are excellent, the staff are excellent, warm & friendly
Cons: Oasis Pool Grill experience was awful, the worst meal I have had in a long time - monkfish with brown fish gravy is awful 25 euros for monkfish 2 mussels a couple of clams & a cold prawn, the gravy stinks like fish guts. Beef Cheeks that had clearly been cooked hrs / days before, rock hard when they should fall apart, lumpy mash - bad experience. 5 euros for a small beer, drink prices are a rip off - these things let down the quality of hotel & the exceptional quality of staff
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great staff. Well maintained property.
Cons: The food was disappointing. Also quality was inconsistent.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous hotel and facilities. Breakfast delicious and service was always amazing. Happy hour an added bonus. Friendly helpful staff
Cons: Make sure to always check your bill at the end of the stay. Checked out with 100€ added to our bill... somebody had used our room number to pay for there dinner. Luckily it was sorted out quite quickly by reception but something to be wary about as you are encouraged to put food / drink on rooms during the stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The facilities were of a high standard, our room was comfortable, spacious and clean. The pool was lovely and the infinity pool was enormous. The staff were friendly and so helpful, they made our stay amazing. We had the best time.
Cons: There wasn’t anything we didn’t like at the property

9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location of the hotel is a banana plantation, it is possible to get fresh bananas (platanos) in a terrace near to the reception. The hotel is really well equipped, the view from the terrace of the apartment was impressive, it was possible to see la Gomera and sunsets were incredible. The staff was really friendly and helpful. Easy to walk to the beach.
Cons: The restaurant was not as good as I was expecting. They only had the home brand wine selection and I missed more from the local products during the dinner menu.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Quiet and relaxing. Charming staff Delicious local wine and free bananas!
Cons: I had difficulty with the keys!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice little adults-only hotel in the middle of a banana plantation. Nothing fancy but comfortable enough, very quiet and relaxing compared to busy tourist areas with huge hotel complexes. Oh, and of course, the bananas are very good!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The quietness of the surroundings, the pool for afternoon dips after morning excursions, the walks along the coastline to visit other places.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The tranquil surroundings, friendliness of staff, unique location, away from the hustle and bustle, amazing food, unlimited bananas!
Cons: We liked everything!

Pros: Loved the room and terrace with great views to sea and La Gomera. Sound of birds and sheep. Wonderful weather and very pleasant staff.
Cons: Food was not good, breakfast lacked imagination
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great view,staff and location
Cons: WiFi was weak and no bbc/sky stations
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is very peaceful. The free bananas is a great touch. Dinner is very good value.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The situation of this hotel is perfect with a wonderful view over the banana plantation to the sea. The rooms are comfortable and the terrace ideal. It is quiet and a very relaxing place to spend a holiday. The receptionist and the proprietors were very helpful and friendly.
Cons: Sadly the restaurant was a real disappointment at both breakfast and dinner. We were hoping to eat dinner most evenings but didn't enjoy the food as it was usually cold and rather tasteless. Sometimes it was really poor. Also the ambience is not good as the room is very dark and dismal and needs either some candles or extra lighting. Breakfast was really not good apart from the coffee, orange juice, fruit and the fresh rolls. The hot food was never hot and often there was little left and wasn't replaced. The hot food was not tasty so perhaps it would have been better as just a light breakfast. It's a pity as it lets down a lovely place to stay. The bedroom could have done with a small table
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The large sunny private balcony with a good view
Cons: The pool would have been great to use if it were warmer - solar panels???

7.6 Good (166 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Situated in Guia de Isora, this hotel is within 9 mi (15 km) of Playa San Juan, El Varadero, and La Glorieta Plaza. Playa de Barranco Seco and Playa la Carrera are also within 9 mi (15 km).
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good value, clean, no frills place to sleep in a town that frankly is a little below average as a tourist destination in Tenerife. But as a base or stop off, it's close to attractions like Masca, Gigantes and Teide. Personally I'd rather stay here than a plastic megaresort like Cristianos anyway. And if you are thinking about your wallet you really can't beat the pension and town for value. English is fine here.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The room is small, but clean and cosy. It is in a quiet surrounding. It is a family run pension. They are all kind and helpful. Room charge is readonable. Bus stops are close. It is a good place to visit Masca and Los Gigantes, etc.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and friendly family running
Cons: Staff, clean
6.0 Good
Pros: Fair price, good location midway for Teide and ferry by rental car
Cons: Rusty bathroomware should easily be removed and changed, shower drain a bit smelly after use
7.9 Good
Pros: Very friendly hosts. Nice patio to relax.
Cons: Bit noisy in the evening (street side room) but despite that we slept well.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely and peaceful stay. Very beautiful family.
