Pros (+) The location is solid if you want to have access to both Santa Monica and Malibu. Easy check in.
Cons (-) Very overpriced for what you get. Should be $100 per night. I am used to staying in expensive hotels. They just get away with their prices because they are cheaper than high end hotels in Malibu and better than the other motels. Yes, they are motel and not a hotel.

Cons (-) Street noise was awful-due to no AC the windows had to be opened. Bring your ear plugs.

Pros (+) Room was very large and clean, even the bathroom was large.
Cons (-) The room was a bit dark with all the lights on. The TV was very small and the picture was terrible and the remote didn't work for power only for changing channels. There was a large closet with a couple pillows in the top and no cover or door- would look much nicer with a curtain or door and brighter lighting in general. I would also add curtains to the window which had blinds for full darkness.
