The stunning Georgian architecture of The Foley Arms has been a feature of the Victorian spa town of Malvern for 200 years. The Georgian style old coaching inn was designed for John Downs by Samuel Dykes, originally named the Downs hotel, renamed The Foley Arms later in honour of Edward Foley, who was Lord of the Manor and responsible for building the Coburg Baths, the Pump Room and the Royal Library next to the hotel. All of these formed the hub of the fashionable health resort. /p The Foley Arms Hotel is set in a wonderful location from which to explore the stunning Malvern countryside, the Midlands and the Welsh Marches areas. The area has a wide range of stately homes, beautiful gardens, lively farm parks and award-winning museums for you to explore, along with a host of modern-day attractions for all the family. It is also perfect for those visiting Worcester and Hereford races. The hotel overlooks the famous Malvern Hills, and is only a short drive from the Three Counties Showground. If you are looking to enjoy some theatre during your stay here, the Malvern Theatre is only a five minute walk away from the hotel. /p There are two train stations which serve Malvern town Great Malvern and Malvern Link, with Great Malvern the nearest, approximately a 15 minute walk away. There is also a bus stop just outside the hotel, with buses approximately every 20 minutes, that run to Worcester, Upton and Ledbury. Local taxis are also available, however it is always recommended to book in advance to guarantee one. Malvern is on the A449 from Worcester to Ross-on-Wye, and is located approximately 25 minutes from Junction 7 of the M5, and approximately half an hour from Junction 8 via the M50. /p Situated right in the heart of the town, the hotel has 23 individual bedrooms, some of which have wonderful views across the Severn Plain. All of our rooms are en-suite and include tea and coffee making facilities, a hair dryer and flat screen TV. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the building. /p We are situated above our JD Wetherspoon pub, where guests can enjoy a meal, with some hearty British favourites on the menu sure not to disappoint! Please be advised that we are a busy pub and some noise can be heard from some of the hotel rooms. /p The closest long stay car park is located on Victoria Road, WR14 2TD which is a 7-minute walk away and costs GBP 3 a day. The property advises guests to check-in with luggage prior to parking as the walk back to the hotel is mostly uphill. Roadside parking is available from 16:30 until 09:30 the next morning and there are no restrictions on Sunday. /p Any booking with 5 rooms or more will be subject to different terms and conditions. They will be required to pay 50% deposit within 24 hours. /p The Foley Arms hotel is accessed through the Wetherspoons pub on the ground floor. The hotel Reception is located on the first floor, with rooms on the first and second floors accessed only by stairs. The property does not have a lift. /p
