5.0 Okay
Pros: First morning we asked for a fry, I was very disappointed as the soda and potato bread was not fried it was grilled which I did not like, second morning we chose an alternative which was fine. Our room was extremely cold, there was a portable heater but you would have needed to be sitting on top of it. Due to the extreme cold we couldn't bear to take a shower, I did mention it to the staff on the second morning and they put the heating on to allow us to shower.
Cons: Room very cold and outdated Bedding was spotless and lovely smell The whole house could do with an update There was only a banister at one side of the stairs, as I suffer from severe back problems this was difficult for me (I had asked for a room close to the ground floor when booking, but known available)

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The view was spectacular, I was at the top of the house on the 4th floor looking down over the bay. My room was nicely decorated. There was a great selection of teas/coffees and hot chocolate to choose from and individually wrapped ginger stem biscuits complimentary. I had a sink in my room which was handy. Fantastic breakfast, great selection of breakfast items even before my hot cooked breakfast came. Fast, friendly and clean.
Cons: My room was cold but storm Ciara was in full swing so it was very noisy, the room rattled all night and through the morning. I didn't sleep despite being in a comfy, cosy bed. I could hear the guests TV in the next room quite loud until late, and some dodgy singing along to music one of the ladies was playing. Shared bathroom but given the price didn't bother me.
