Great location near shops and old town and main train station and comfy clean room. Very modern with nice facilities :)
Quite expensive for what you get
I loved the place: (1) - central location so close to the main station, (2) very friendly staff, (3) good value for money, (4) nice touch to have a mini bar at Euro 1 per drink, (5) spacious room with sitting area, with a big settee to relax, (6) enough space to work, (7) well appointed bathroom, (8) comfortable bed
The room was quite warm - but it was very hot in Munich. I am not sure the air condition was very efficient - but I had a fan in the room which proved adequate. I didn't eat breakfast, I cannot comment whether the cost of Euro 22.50 is good value.
We have travelled in Germany for half a month and Munich is our last stop. This is the only hotel that let us check in earlier than usual time and their staff also helped to bring our luggage to our room. Besides, we love decorations a lot and the bed is very comfortable. Location is also good that only 5 mins to train station and shopping area.
All quite good. The restaurants in the hotel also not bad.
Nicely decorated, clean and smart
Only one lift, not enough table space for belongings
More beautiful than the pictures really show.
Loved it all.
A unique and intimate family-run hotel, the beautiful Hotel Excelsior offers an experience of contrasts and surprises. The hotel has an unmistakable Bavarian feel about it - classic interiors reflect true regional style with extravagant and ornate ironwork, pastel friezes and antlers adorning the walls. This theme is completed beatifully by classic, elegant rooms (with sky TV free of charge), where guests can relax in tasteful and ambient surroundings, as well as the hotel's famous wine restaurant, Geisel's Vinothek, with its unusual Italian theme.
