Location with fantastic view, excellent place for relax. Nothing!
The view, the terrace, the cocktails and dinner, the manager and hostess, the breakfast. The staff was helpful. Was nicely furnished. The matress and the pillow.
Beautiful spot on the Amalfi Coast, and a good choice if you want to be able to walk to town/breach/restaurants/etc.
I liked the location and the hotel staff. The owners were wonderful and very helpful. It was noisy.
The hotel was extremely clean and well looked after. Not luxury but very professionally run and very neat and tidy. All staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble for them. A very good atmosphere and a real pleasure to stay in.
The staff went out of their way to be helpful and were very polite and friendly. They made us feel very welcome. There was a very pleasant atmosphere in the hotel.
The view from our room was fantastic, the buffet breakfast was also quite impressive there was a lot to choose from. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel did not offer a shuttle service down to beach. Bringing luggage down to the ferry was also quite difficult so we had to pay a porter to do it. This should really be included in the price of the accomodation.
This was the second time we have stayed at the hotel and being a family-run business it has the ideal mix of friendliness, helpfulness and peace that one wishes for in this ideal location.` We found our bedroom rather noisy as it was situated below the kitchens. We asked to change the room but as the hotel was fully booked it was not possible. Whilst slightly annoying to be woken at 6am it did not deter us from enjoying our holiday.
the ambience of the hotel was magical and the staff were friendly helpful and so hospitable. the view from the bedroom was stunning. and the terrace off th ebedroom was a lovely spot to sit and relax at
Great hotel with wonderful views. Staff were very helpful. Also, hotel offers free boat trips, great bonus. Bathrooms are very small and showers are too tiny.
The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was large, the beds comfortable and the view out of this world. I would highly recommend a visit to the Hotel Posa Posa. I have only been back in Australian for 4 days and am already saving and dreaming of my next trip to Positano, where I will certainly stay at the same hotel. I loved everything
beautiful view from balcony, attentive and courteous staff, spacious and clean room
The breakfast was wonderful and the staff were great.
The room was beautiful. The staff Julio, Stefano Genaro and our room maid were absolutely wonderful, couldn't be more helpful and full of information. The hotel had wifi in the lobby and terrace restaurant. The views from the balcony were spectacular. The breakfast were continental style but simply fantastic from cold meats and cereal to never ending pastries, fruit and the coffee was very good
How attentive the staff was. It made the trip that much more enjoyable.
It is a nice hotel with big and clean rooms, good location, friendly staff and beutiful sea views. The promised jacuzzi did not work.
I did not enjoy my stay at all. This is a 2/3 star hotel under the name of 4 stars. I asked for my room to be changed because I did not like it, i was told that I should have booked a "suite". So I got one at an exhobitant price, apart for being slightly larger the facilities were the same: non exhistent. Food, position, facilities non exihstent, staff very patronising.
The staff was wonderful. My niece's wedding reception at the hotel was superb.
Great staff and location room need some restoration and repair
Position of hotel is good with good views This hotel certainly does not merit a four star rating even by Italian standards.
One of the best hotels we have stayed in and our holiday was an absolute pleasure Nothing
Friendleness of the staff of shuttle bus service the shuttle bus times could have been a bit more frequent
Location and View, restaurant
It was a beautiful hotel tucked away in the cliffs of Positano. The views were magnificant I didn't like that we had to leave! :)
Excellent customer service.
Hotel Staff excellent except the pool attendant he had an attitude problem.Food and service excellent. The beds very uncomfortable
Loved the location and the view of the beach No
The location offers stunning views of Positano. The hotel staff were very welcoming and efficient and the room, although slightly dated, was very comfortable and quiet at night. We used a car which was collected and dropped off at the hotel for us whenever we needed it. We didn't eat an evening meal in the hotel but the breakfasts were delicious! All in all a very relaxing stay. make sure you don't get a room next to the lift!
OUr view from the balcony was amazing!! The pool staff was not very friendly. All the other staff were superb.
Great location, very helpful staff. The view from the terrace attached to our room was magnificent. Great to have cable TV with a number of English channels.
Everything! It is in a great location with beautiful views over the coast. The room was excellent - a good size, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great and the staff were really helpful when we asked questions about where things were etc. Very laid back atmosphere and everyone there speaks good english. To get to the town and the beach there are loads of steps but they really aren't a problem if you take your time. We are both quite fit and exercise a lot but they did make us a bit out of breath!! it's all part of the experience of being in Positano though so don't let it put you off!! only a tiny point - only 1 pillow each on the beds but that's a personal preference! Can't fault it in any other way.
we stayed in a suite and the room was amazing with amazing views ... I would recommend this hotel to anyone..except elderly people,as the hotel is up quite high and there are lot of steps to the beach...lovely family, very warm and informative..great stay.. no
Location; the public rooms were very lovely; breakfast was very good Rooms advertised as having a terrace with a sea view are in the attic. The room was very small and plainly decorated, with a sloping ceiling. There was a desk but no dresser to unpack some items. No pictures on walls; bathroom was barely adequate. When I asked for a second luggage rack, I was told only 1 per room despite the fact that the hotel was pretty empty. Wrong answer! During our stay, I needed to confirm a car pick-up via e-mail. I was told there was an internet cafe in town by the receptionist who was sitting by a computer.
The view and large patio was great
Staff was very friendly. Excellent Restuarant. Location ideal for Positano. No. Everything was superb.
Nice little hotel, perfectly situated in Positanos quiet part , family-run with a good restaurant.
Location overlooking the bay of Positano was beautiful. The food at the hotel was amazing and the best we had in Positano. The staff, family owned, very friendly, helpful, and made sure out visit was good. The internet connection was very slow. I was on vacation but did have some tasks that required connectivity. This is a small nit, but noticeable.
The views from the balcony of room 5 were spectacular - everything I wanted. The staff was friendly, location of property terrific and the room was very, very nice with great terrace. Nothing.
This is a family run hotel and all staff are very friendly and helpful. Restaurant was excellent. Our room (No. 6) had a spacious balcony with spectacular views. For a 4 star hotel, the bed needs updating
the staff at the Palazzo Marzoli were excellent and addressed all matters we raised with the utmost efficiency and helpfulness. A big asset to the hotel which was always immaculately clean and tidy It was a bit far from the main positano area but as we moved around a lot during the day this only an issue if we wanted to go into the main town. the hotel has a complimentary bus service several times a day to assist this issue
Beautiful, spacious room; fastidiously clean; lovely bathroom; outstanding panoramic view; and luxurious breakfast served on our balcony every morning. No bad points!
Absolutely beautiful location and a perfect hotel. Great staff and owner is always on hand to ensure your stay is great . Stayed an extra night because it was so good.
The staff--family and Antonio, especially, went above and beyond to accommodate. The ocean view was amazing and room was very nice. Would like eggs or other protein included in the breakfast not an extra charge (other hotels in Italy did include such--and rates were lower or the same).
The room was spacious and elegantly furnished with tiles. The view was beautiful. The breakfast which was delivered to the room each morning was wonderful. Very friendly and helpful staff. This is not a negative--just a comment. In the evening the hotel staff spoke limited English and was sometimes a bit of a challenge to communicate with. However, by working together we were always able to get the point across and all was good!
The location was NOT terrible. It is higher up which allows for much better terrace views of the enchanting Mediterranean! The staff were extremely helpful. Most importantly the hotel was very CLEAN. You will not be disappointed if you stay here.
The hotel staff went out of their way to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. No
Palazzo Marzoli was the best choice we could have done for our stay in Positano! It is located in a wonderful place with a fantastic view in the gulf of Positano. The view from our balcony was amazing and having breakfast at it was the best way to start our day during vacations! The room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom was great! The staff is perfect! Actually everything was perfect in Palazzo Marzoli!
Great view, nice surroundings, very mediterranean. Air con not working (in our room) and we were not pre advised of 35 E parking fee, or fee for bus trip to town outside normal time until we had taken the bus ride.
The hotel has great views, nice balcony and room service for breakfast. It is spotlessly clean and staff very friendly. It's a good location if travelling around the Amalfi coast as very near bus stop. Also good spot for some hiking routes as hotel is high up in town A lot of steps up from beach to hotel. Taxis a rip off at €20. Hotel did run a shuttle but only up to 10:30pm at night. Hotel could maybe provide more info/brochures on what's going on in the area, different activities. Also no bar in hotel so very much confined to room
The view of the Mediterranean from our hotel room balcony was amazing. I could just sit there all day. I also enjoyed the location of the hotel up high on the hill. There were close restaurants and grocery stores that were much less expensive and crowded then down by the beach. The owners and staff were very accommodating and friendly which made the experience all the better. The rooms were beautifully decorated and very clean. We also liked the van service provided free of charge down to the center of town and back offered throughout the day. We did not find anything we did not like about our stay and we plan on going back with our family. The only thing that would have made it a little better would to have had a television channel in English.
The location is the best right on the beach with amazing views both ways you look. It is clean, safe and well designed.
The Location was excellent!! They want us to pay cash, which wasn't stated on the website! I felt a little uncomfortable paying cash as she was hesitant about giving me a reciept!
We enjoyed the location so much! Close to everything important-restaurant, water, ferry and nightlife! Rosa was absolutely wonderful! Very helpful! Not very comfortable beds but great view and clean! Wifi a little expensive to use for 3 days and wifi service in the whole town not great. But overall wonderful and beautiful great people!
If you wish to enjoy a relaxed holiday, in the absolute prime location in Positano, La Caravella is simply the place to stay.
Tha staff was helpfull, but not invasive. The site is not operated like hotel, rather like rental rooms / appartments, well appointed and very clean. the location was exellent, on the beach, yet close to all other attractions like restaurants, shops, etc.
The room is small, but bed comfortable, air-conditioning worked, it was clean and convenient for the beach and boat dock with restaurants nearby. For those who don't want to walk up and down the steep paths each time to go to and from the beach/hotel/restaurants, this could be a help, although there are stairs to the room. The window opens to the beach and you can hear the waves when the window is open. A little bit hard to find the entrance. It's accessed from the beach in front of the pay-beach area. The staff were looking for us, otherwise we wouldn't have known where to enter. There is no reception desk. Good budget place to stay if you're not planning to spend much time in the room. As far as I know, no parking is available although the booking indicated otherwise. This is not an area accessible by car.
The advert specified two bathrooms. We only had one.Towels were not provided on daily basis.Beds and rooms were not made or cleaned on daily basis.
The location is fabulous as well as the view and all facilities were great. It is difficult to bring your luggage back and forth but if you are in shape, it is fine. Not recommended for seniors. The air circulation was not good in the apartment and we could have used a fan since the curtains kept the air still but that is solvable.
The best thing about this apartment is the fantastic location, right on the beach. We arrived by boat and only had a minutes walk to the front door. It's a nice traditional apartment and was exceptionally clean. The staff we met were also very charming and helpful. I'd definitely recommend this apartment mainly due to the easy location for access to the beach/ restaurants etc.
The location was amazing and any minor grumble paled in comparison. Arrival was a little tricky as it is not clear how to get a staff members attention, some of the apartments in the block appeared to be privately owned. The staff were average in their interpersonal skills however as mentioned this did not impact on the stay. The apartment is literally gate, sand, beach. The water was crystal clear and we swam everyday. It was helpful having the kitchenette as the local restaurants are average.
Very pretty setting. Good basic rooms with a really good sized balcony. A romantic place ideal for couples Could have had a slightly better shower. i thought that for the money we were paying there was very little choice for breakfast
The location was spot on, pretty much right on the smaller quieter beach. The views from the breakfast area were stunning, overlooking a lot of the town and the sea. Also only a 10 minute walk from the main beach and restuarants along the seatfront path.
Very well located, close to the town and with good access to the beach. Good beach side bar and cafe. Nice views, particularly from breakfast terrace and good selection for breakfast. The bath/shower had no shower curtain and the bed was a bit hard. Due to location, somewhat difficult to get luggage up and down steps.
For the price you can't beat this hotel. Or if stairs and hills really aren't your thing then you can't beat it either. Having use of the lift down to the beach or up to breakfast is just brilliant. This hotel is in a great location, with lovely balconies and sea view, great shower, basic but spacious rooms, friendly staff, good European breakfast with fab coffee, 7 minutes walk to good restaurants and about 15 minutes slow stroll right into the middle of town. Parkng was easy and at 14 euros a night and after seeing all the dented cars on the side of the road was great piece of mind. Definitely get full insurance if hiring a car. The breakfast while a good European breakfast doesn't vary which can become tiresome after a week
Friendly staff, beautiful views, good access to Positano and lift to beach, excellent bar on beach, good service, good food and again friendly staff, would recommend and hopefully return.
Staff very helpful, Scenery excellent, really appreciated the lifts as Positano is stauis everywhere. Stairs as mentioned. Need to be fit for this resort
Excelente location, walking distance from the main beach and the town center, but still got a beach of there own. the restorant down the elevator it was good and good price the bathroom didnt have a shower door or neither a curtain shower , that makes the floor terrible wet every time you use it
Friendly staff Air conditioning did not work We booked a double rooms which consisted of two single beds pushed together Shower was fair poor
The hotel was fresh, clean, well situated on the smaller beach in Positano with good access to the town of Positano. The staff were great, the food was good, the atmosphere was fantastic
The bedroom and bath were so pretty and large with a beautiful view to the sea and cliffs. We used the elevator access to the restaurant and beach. It was within a few minutes walking distance to shops. The breakfast room view was so pretty and the food were very good. Parking the car in their car park was expensive, and the hotel was difficult to find but I think this would be a problem for most lodgings in Positano.
family hotel brother was very helpful and pleasant and sister lovely people meastro machine was not working for payment was cuased a bit of stress
Clean, adequate For a 4 star hotel, it did not have luggage racks; antiquated tv; poor lighting; not enough hangars for two people; very small shower stall; no toiletries - shampoo; no tissues; hair dryer was like a vacuum cleaner; noisy - we could hear noise from hallway all the time; located right next door to a church therefore hear the bells all day long. Breakfast was ok and the one dinner we had was absolutely awful. Elevator had just enough room for 1 person with 2 pieces of luggage. Location of hotel was not the best as you either had to call for a taxi, take a local bus or walk. Taxi was too expensive.b Walking along roads with no sidewalks was quite hairy!!!
In a quiet environment with friendly helpful staff. Not too many restaurants around but an excellent one in Meta (the Taverna I think) with great food and surroundings at a very reasonable price. It was a little difficult to find by car but easy to find if arriving by train.
All of the staff was excellent and very conscientious! It was amazing that they remembered us as individuals even though they took care of so many different people each day. They were also very helpful with info. about various tourist destinations and activities. The only minor problems we had were that the shower was plugged and the air conditioning could have been cooler. It would be nice if the individual guests could control the temperature in their rooms. But as I said this was just a minor concern. Also it would be nice if the pool stayed open a bit later-19:00 (7:00pm) was quite early and it would have been nice to have a cool swim in the evening after a hot day of sight seeing....
everything was OK In the picture hotel and swimming pool look bigger than they are.
beautiful room, beautiful garden no
Beautiful hotel and gardens. Superb staff. Excellent location. Perfection.
Beautiful room and view and beautiful gardens
A real luxury in a romantic setting!
Our magnificent view and the loveliness of the room itself. The staff upgraded us to an even better room for no additional cost and were wonderful. Nothing!
It was a great value. I would recommend it to anyone and I am used to 5 star hotels. (This was a 4 star.) The people couldn't have been nicer.
Location, garden, the room, view from the balcony, beauty of hotel & area, breakfast, people, the service - everything was perfect. Very romantic and restful. Absolutely nothing
It is so quiet and relaxing. The staff was great. And, you are so close to the beach.
The location and ambience. The balcony was a good size and overlooked the garden and the town above. The rooms were large. The outdoor restaurant area was very pleasant for breakfast. The internet did not work for some reason. There was some incompatibility problem between my computer and the wifi service. However a computer with internet was provided in a separate office.
The location was perfect, the staff really were helpful, and the hotel room with the sea view was perfect for a honeymoon, very romantic location.
no car parking
Great location (near main square), close to the beach; rooms small and modest but clean. Excellent and helpful staff!
Close to the town center, big terrace with wonderful view, spacious room, very helpful staff.
Very comfortable rooms, very friendly, helpful and professional staff. Wireless internet was advertised as free in the hotel, but had to be paid for
Lovely room in great location and staff were wonderful. There seemed to be a lack of hot water late at night.
We stayed in one of the two Junior Suites. It was very spacious and well- equipped with 2 bedrooms (surplus to our requirements!) and a living room, as well as a terrace balcony with sea views. The living room had a 32" flatscreen tv and sky (italian) to chill out with. There was also a fridge/minibar and ac throughout. The bathroom was nice and clean with shower. The breakfasts were continental style (cereal, croissants etc.) and nice. We had a great time in Positano, and the family staff at the hotel were very welcoming and helpful. I would certainly stay here again in the future. There was a lack of designated parking space and information about parking prior to arrival. It would be nice to have info on where to park (and relevant discounts) and rates before arriving. It was quoted as 35 euro per day on our receipt from Booking.com, but for a 6-7 day stay, you can get parking round the corner for 20 euro per day. This would have been useful to know before arriving confused...
We stayed in a wonderful room with a large balcony overlooking the harbour.
A very comfortable stay in excellent facilities. The staff were very hospitable, helpful and keen to solve any minor problems.
Our balcony. Our well appointed room. The staff. No.
helpful staff, great balcony with lots of space and great view.
The rooms were lovely, location superb, great staff and breakfast on the terrace a total treat
The staff to a person was highly professional, courteous, and very helpful with whatever activity we had in mind--i.e., dinner reservations, beach arrangments, and in our case even finding/scheduling courier service. Our room was meticulously clean, beautifully decorated, and very relaxing with a stunning view from our balcony and outdoor spa tub.
Friendly and helpful staff, excellent facilities and stunning views
It is a beautiful hotel in a perfect location. Not too far up the hill but still an excellent view of Positano. Very close to Da Vincenzo - an excellent restaurant. The staff is very warm and friendly and the terrace for breakfast is a paradisical. Wouldn't have minded a lower price, but it is a top quality hotel. We American tourists are suffering from the weak dollar right now.
Staff was helpful with making calls for us when airport lost our bags. Room was very clean and comfortable and had a great view. Breakfast on the terrace was very nice. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. No
Beautiful, clean hotel with incredibly helpful and charming staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Perfect location in Positano.
The view from our room was fantastic. The room was spacious, and well appointed. The bathroom facilities were superior. I wish there was an iron and ironing board in the room.
The staff were extremely helpful and very kind. The breakfast buffett in the morning was great and was available until 11am, which was great for a holiday break. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The trips available to book through the hotel were also thorough and reasonable. The location of the hotel meant a lond walk into the centre of Positano, however both my husband and I enjoy walks so it didn't bother us too much. There was no swimming pool or gym in the hotel and access to only one computer for use of the internet etc. The location of our room mean that we didn't have a view and were located on top of a busy high road, whch was noisy during the night a couple o
The view and vistas were great The comfort of the bed was awful. We stayed in room 152 and the bed was hard and sagged in the middle. It is hard to understand how a hotel as eloquent and upscale as this has beds that should be in a hotel for half the price. Upgrade your beds.
It was one of the most interesting hotel set ups I have had. The hotel was built into a cliff so there was beautiful views throughout. The staff could have had more "life"
A beautiful location, conveniently situated between Amalfi and Positano with a service-minded staff. Good restaurant and nice public spaces. Not suitable for wheelchair access.
Location of the hotel is wonderful. It is like a dream. The only problem is the mosquitoes or small bugs that bite. Hotel management should leave some repellent in the room before any client request.
Everything - we visited the hotel to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary & were not disappointed. The scenery & location was perfect. The hotel staff were fantastic throughout our stay ; the local food & wine were excellent. The best endorsement for the hotel is to say that we intend to return next year ; am looking forward to it already. Nothing ; however beware if you do not like climbing stairs as there are quite a few throughout the hotel.
Fabulously located right on the cliff overlooking the Amalfi coastline yet far enough removed from the crowds to feel as if it your very own piece of heaven. Staff were very friendly, especially the barman and the restaurant staff. The terrace overlooking the bay was the perfect place for sundowners! Particularly liked being able to swim off their beach and sunbathing platform. We had excellent meals here, the pasta with seafood baked in foil was the best ever! Food was not overly expensive as some other reviewers had mentioned. Lifts that transported you down through the rock from the hotel to the beach below have to be experienced! I felt very safe even though I really don't like heights as the lifts were modern and enclosed. A minor gripe, because the place and the people were so lovely.....Soft mattress toppers and soft pillows would go a long way towards a more comfortable sleep! Our room had a balcony from where we could hear the sea on the rocks below as we drifted off. A softer bed would have been bliss!
The view, the pool and the friendly staff
Fine kinds from number, restaurant and a terrace both very attentive and benevolent personnel No
great location, wonderful views of sunsets
The location and views are outstanding Food in restaurant is mediocre. The "King SIze" bed in the junior suite is, in fact, two single beds moved together - not the same thing at all.
The quality of the room, the friendliness of all the staff and the spectacular world-class view from our room's terrace. We even saw dolphins swimming in the sea below us! For a 3-star hotel, it was surprising not to have a full buffet breakfast.
The staff were very polite and courteous. We had a very enjoyable stay and would definately recommend this hotel which had stunning views
The wonderful sea view and the kindness of the service it was a little bit noisy, but we like getting up late
The views from our terrace and breakfast terrace were breathtaking. The rooms were very clean. The hotel is located in a small town between Positano and Amalfi so it would have been nice if the staff had been more accommodating in answering questions especially about transportation (bus) and dining.
Quiet relaxing beautiful scenery spotlessly clean very secure night and day location very central on the Amalfi coast
brilliant views, lovely food in resturant, resturant staff very freindly and helpful hotel room noisey, breakfast a little basic and the same every day.
Excellent staff, great room beautiful views. Nice attached restraunt
We enjoyed our 1st stay on the Amalfi Coast very much and the hotel was perfect for our needs. The views were wonderful and location perfect. The staff was always friendly and helpful. Looking forward to returning. Nothing (that we had to leave)
very clean hotel, beautiful room with an unbelievable view. on arrival staff insisted my booking was for 2 ngt only. I showed her my printout from bookings.com, she has to accept I was booked for 3 ngts. The 2nd day a member informed me that I must share a room for the 3rd ngt with another member of my group, I told her this was not possible. Obviously hotel was over booked ! After this staff were very unfriendly, the rest of my stay was very uncomfortable
The fantastic location and views from the terrace. It's close proximity to other restaurants bars and hotels. Also the hotel location was convenient for the buses and local shops and amenities. An English language pay as you view film channel would have been nice.
Spectacular grounds overlooking the Bay of Napoli. Service was impeccable. Great location ... Only a few train stops away from Sorrento and 25 minute train ride to Pompeii.
Suite was big enough and had a jacuzzi Breakfast buffet: Not even good enough for a three star hotel, although they say the juices are fresh, none of them are, no selection of cheese only meat, hot chocolat milk on request seemed to be made with water and was undrinkable. Room: Main TV was in the sitting area, should have been in the bedroom instead, I missed showergel in the bathroom and the toilet didn't always flush as expected. Room service: poor, quality of the food was not what you'd expect from a gourmet hotel, one pasta was over cooked, the other pasta was under cooked. Almost an empty tray with no amneties like bread, salt, olive oil, so again very poor. No selection of wine on the RSmenu! Swimming pool not heated, ok middle east, unacceptable in Europe.
Room view for Naples Bay was amazing, so was the swimming pool, the garden and hotel's entrace. Staff was very friendly and I've had the best lemon yoghurt of my life. Restaurant's menu very expensive. The breakfast was delicious, but with few options. For a 5 stars should include hot dishes in the morning menu.
great pool , but freezing. nice quiet area .good place to relax the room is not 5* standard. Very hard pillows & bed.
Excellent facilities, beautiful views - wonderful staff! Nothing
Immaculately designed and decorated hotel, stunningly beautiful location, great room and bathroom It is a shame that a potentially fantastic hotel is let down by the performance of the head waiter and his staff. Maybe they need more training (not quite Manuel from Fawlty Towers but, at times, not far off). A full-length mirror in the room would have been useful.
Restaurant was great, staff was great Bathroom and room small, couldn't sit straight on toilet no room for legs. Really uncomfortable.
Staff were very friendly and helpful and location was excellent to expore surrounding area in both directions. Breakfast
The restaurant service needs a lot of work.
The hotel is beautifully renovated, highly technological, rooms gorgeous with all great facilities no
The front desk staff were fantastic at helping organise sightseeing activities. The restaurant was really very very good We ordered room service one night and it was terrible. It was only sandwiches & my kids couldnt eat them. They were stale and not toasted enough. It was our only negative for the stay but for the price they charge you expect fresh sandwiches
nice rooms swimming pool not heated
Nice hotel with very friendly staff. Excellent breakfast with breathtaking view to the see and the coast.
Breakfast was good compared to other italian hotels' breakfasts location- a hike from the main town but shuttle service is available.
We didn't like this hotel at all! The owners are not very nice. The location of this hotel isn't very good since it's hard to go anywhere by foot. The entire hotel smelled humidity big time and it really need to be renovated. The room was nothing like what we had seen on the Internet. There was bugs in our room (on the floor) so they gave us some products to spray around... We left one day earlier because we were so uncomfortable there. The only thing positive I could say is that the breakfast was nice. All of it was bad sincerely considering the price. The rooms don't look like the pictures they show on their site.
Clean, pleasant staff. Car parking available. Good location with glorious room views.
Very nice family run hotel. It was a perfect base to explore Amalfi coast. 15 min walk down to get to beach was perfect for us. Overall very satisfied with our stay and would return. The sound proofing between rooms was poor.
The view of the cliffs The balcony glass doors were broken, and there was a daily ten euro extra charge for air conditoning that was "room tempurature" at best. The balcony chairs were filthy, and the shower had noticable mildew build-up.
We liked best the location and spacious room
the views. the need to take shuttles to Positano, Amalfi, everywhere and Shuttles stopped running at 10:30pm. The buses were 1 euro and to take a cab it was 25 Euro from Positano, 10km away. They had not opened the kitchen in the hotel so I had to go out for every meal which by the time I ate, I missed the shuttle twice, those were two very expensive dinners.
The staff were so friendly, the room was very spacious, modern and clean! The view alone is worth staying in this hotel! The hotel is a bit of a walk to the nearby town and if you are staying out late there is no transport. I don't think I could walk up the hill to the hotel if I stayed another night!!
Family friendly-- we have two small children (2 yrs and 8 months). Staff were very accommodative to our needs. Would definitely recommend it friends!
The service and comfort
Nice quite Hotel, excellent location and good transport links. Would definitely go back again.
Having stayed there twice before we chose the hotel because we new the quality of service and the location of the hotel was what we wanted
The staff was wonderful. We stayed there twice and the second room we had with a balcony was a little smaller than the first. The bathroom was smaller too. Overall, very, very nice. The restaurant only had a fixed price for dinner. Food was good but not great. A little far out of town but they have a shuttle that takes you close to town.
Lovely food, staff and communal areas, only negative is that the bedrooms are small in size
i liked everything about hotel caravel, the pool area was spotless and very relaxing, staff were very helpful, found no fault at all
Staff were generally helpful and friendly. All other facilities, i.e pool were great. Just a shame the tiles on bedroom floor let them down. If they carpeted the rooms I am sure there would be less complaints all the bedroom floors had no carpets so the rooms were extremely noisy. We complained the first night as the people upstairs were very noisy when they came in at 4am. We were told by reception that the noise would only be for 2 more nights as they weere leaving after that!!! great. Only other thing was toaster not working in hotel. And the hot water urn for tea did not keep the hot water warm at breakfast. Staff in the restaurant didn't want to know.
The staff at the hotel are friendly and helpful - all of them from the cleaners to the managers - they go out of their way to make you feel welcome - nothing is too much trouble. My suggestion last year was that a later courtesy bus back to the hotel would be welcome and this has been put in place. We would not hesitate in returning to the hotel again. There was nothing to criticise
Room was super clean, the best breakfast in Italy and gratis. Nice pool and a overall good experience. Only neg is that it is about 1 mile from Sorentto but they do have a bus that runs gratis but not too often. Nice walk if you choose to go to town.
We stayed B&B and the breakfast was as good as I've experienced anywhere. The general hotel facilities were comfortable and the staff always very professional. Excellant local restaurant at the top of the road and reasonable local bus service to the heart of Sorrento. Given the comfort of the hotel's public areas, the bedrooms were a little disappointing. The colour scheme and cheap looking flatpack furniture gave them a slightly unwelcoming ambience, though they were certainly clean. Our Superior Twin with large balcony was at ground level, overlooking the bin area.
the location was good for our purpose . Sorrento , Ischia , Napoli < Pompei . Easy to find , and comfortable rooms. The food
location, view, noise of the road near the hotel
Great location. Hotel facilities, layout and design were wonderful. The breakfast was amazing No
Fine. Well situated for visiting nearly everything by train and bus.The Hotel has a free shutle bus, bringing you to and fromSorrento as well as to the railway stations nearby. Really fine service. The restaurant should offer better meals. But the breakfast really ok.
The room was spacious, modern furnishing, good working air conditioning, great shower and of course the private beach was wonderful
The view Not really
Very helpful staff! Beautiful room and very clean! I would definitely stay there again! Very good breakfast and dinner was also delicious!
Very good hotel if you have car.Good price for good quality. We booked standard rooms, and received a superior rooms. Very nice staff at reception, in the restaurant and in the spa. Very good breakfast. This hotel has private parking. This pleace ist close to: Pompeji, Vezuvio,Sorento, Amalfii Coast and Neapol. If you go to Neapol take train from Vicko ( do not drive a car!!!!). Ask at reception.
The front esk reception area personnel were outstanding and gave great service. I want to particularly site lia as most helpfull. Alphonse, Roberto, and Leonardo were very accommodating. The food service personnel did a terrific job including Ciro and Alphonse. They are added an immeasurable dimension to our stay. Please extend our thanks to them. The only proble for us was transportation. But all did work out well for us.
It was a very relaxing hotel and fabulous staff
Nothing When we arrived it was very difficult for us to find it. We spent more than 2 hours looking for it and when we asked people for directions no one knew about it. When we finally found it, we found out that this is a house with no lift and they gave us a room on the 3rd floor, with no lift and we had to pass through loads of toys and barbie doll houses which were laying all over the place. We then decided not to stay at the hotel and asked them to cancel the booking. Maria grazia, the owner gave us a room which was not the one we booked and when I asked her why she told us that alll the other rooms are full. However when I spoke to the receptionist, she told us that we were the only people there and therefore it was not true that the room we booked was full this was a very bad experience and in fact we then had to look for another hotel where to stay. The photos on the website do not match the reality. This was our worst experience when travelling abroad.
Location was excellent, walking distance to the beach, 5 minutes from railway station, nice quiet rooms (ours #2 was very spacious), lovely terrace for breakfast (we had dinner there as well), quite large selection at breakfast (even cheese and salami), the staff was very friendly, there was cumputer you could use in the lobby (although the printer didn't work), we could use the fridge in the kitchen The coffee at breakfast was terrbile, our air conditioning got turned off so that we couldn't get it back on by ourselves a couple of times (once it was off all night long = HOT), the bathroom leaked water into the room when taking a long shower (I bet there is water damage under the floor)
My father thought the family was friendly and liked the historical aspect of the building. The rest of us found little to enjoy at this B&B. No A/C, 30+ yr old twin beds put together on cot stand for double bed, cold breakfast only, hard to find, no parking, noisy farm animals from 5am to midnight, teenage daughter left in charge of office during day, no shower/bath only, cleaning by maid only some days. I would not stay here again or recommend it at all.
Our favourite hotel in the region. Wonderful room in an old villa, perfect service (like free internet access, very helpful staff) very nice rooms. We would recommend it immediately! The quality of the bed (mattress) could have been better. Finding a nice restaurant was not so easy.
Very nice accommodation, this place was perfect for us, easy to go there by train, very good breakfast. The beach at Piano was a great surprise!
The location was good, near a well connected train station
The house is well appointed for being a B&B. The staff is very kind and the house gives very good value for money. The location is not central but it is close to the local railway (circumvesuviana). It is a good place for relaxing as it is quiet. The breakfast is not as huge as what we are used to in Central-Eu
