Pros (+) Location - you can walk everywhere. Atmosphere of hotel - historic and interesting. Rooms with a balcony.
Cons (-) We paid for a room with a private balcony and when we got there, we were told the previous guests wanted to stay longer so they put us in another room. Very disappointing.

Cons (-) This area of the hotel really needs work. The menu needs to expanded to cater to chicken. It was really slow both at the restaurant and room service.

Pros (+) Location is ideal - you can walk everywhere. Hotel has good vibe. Get a room with a balcony in the main hotel - you can see what's going on in Northampton. Hotel is a big pricey but parking is free and you don't need to drive to good restaurants. Continental breakfast is included but we're addicted to the 'Downtown' at Jake's restaurant
Cons (-) Last time we got a room in the Residential Cottages which is not part of the hotel. It's in the middle of the parking lot and you feel that. Room was big with kitchenette but didn't like it.

Pros (+) You can walk anywhere in Northampton from this hotel. It was built in the 1920's so has a lot of charm but it's been updated. Room on high floor with balcony is best. Free parking. Jake's for great breakfast is right across the street.
Cons (-) Rooms can be noisy - don't get room near elevator or stairs otherwise it's fine.
