The room we were assigned to: Alto da Se, spacious, nicely decorated, great view. The location, at the center of historical Olinda allows for a walking tour. The restaurant and food. The location for the Olinda Carnival is the best in city. Cleanliness of the restaurant restroom. It would be great to have an elevator, but I understand this is an historical building.

Only location is good Hotel opend 1996 - since that time they updated only price. Rooms rum down and shaby, food: cantina, service: bad. Youthhostel might be better! Never again!

We had several kinds of disturbances associated to noise. When arriving we asked kindly to change to another room because the one they gave us was on the top of the restaurant. They moved us to another house and did not tell us that the wall was to the garden of a huge restaurant. So, our kid could not sleep and we did not have any fun, because we could hear loud music and noises of mixer, dishwashes, and restaurant untill 4 AM.
