Pros: Very friendly owner who was keen to explain everything and show us places to visit. Also helped with taxis. Room was very good size and very comfortable with good bathroom. Breakfast provided was ample and owner was happy to tip up coffee juice toast etc. Early start accommodated with breakfast put out (included hot drinks in individual thermos flasks) all round excellent. Good location for all facilities and quiet.

Pros: Even though they spoke no English and I spoke no Spanish they bent over backwards to make sure that I saw what was worth seeing. The owner recommended a good restaurant where English was spoken and I had an excellent reasonably priced meal. Next day when I came back front seeing the sights I had a beer in the bar and the owner made me some tapas and poured me a second beer on the house. I was sorry to leave.

Pros: From the first moment we arrived we were treated in a friendly and pleasant manner by the owner and staff. The hotel is absolutely first class, from the very comfortable room to the excellent décor throughout the entire establishment. The walk into town could not be easier, 5 minuets tops, even with my knee replacement op. The breakfast is also excellent. Cooked eggs and bacon or omelettes, boiled or cereals, fruit juice and traditional cake. Tea or coffee. If ever we are in or near Ribadeo again we will not hesitate to book this beautiful hotel again. I, as a seasoned traveller have stayed in many different hotels, Cabazo is amongst the very best if not THE best.
Cons: I defy anybody to find fault with this hotel.

Pros: We loved our few days stay at Casa Do Merlo, Javier was incredibly helpful and directed us to places of interest nearby including waterfalls, mountains walks and the famous Cathedral Rocks, but there were many lovely beaches a very short drive away. Our room was spotlessly clean, and we enjoyed a superb Dinner with an unforgettable Mojito Sorbet!

Pros: Wow. Wow. Attention to detail at every turn. Gorgeous property combined with top of the line service. We stayed at a brand now room, very tastefully done. A true gem. Jean Carlo and Mila were absolutely outstanding showing us the property, preparing a lovely breakfast for guests, and giving us passes and tips for visiting Playa as Catedrais, which is just 5 minute drive away. Great stay!

Breakfast simple but high quality and offering plenty of coffee. Hotel had easy access to several picturesque beaches and to the town of Ribadeo. Staff friendly and very helpful.

Pros: What a wonderful hotel! I wasn't expecting much for this price, but it turned out I came to a place where the owner shows a lot of passion and dedication for what he is doing. It felt like family and home. Breakfast was very good and included in the price. Location couldn't be better. I hope I will go back to Ribadeo, one day and spend a little more time.

The room had everything - lovely hot shower, good lighting, a window that opened right out to allow inlight and fresh air. Sockets next to bed for phones. Breakfast was good - made to order scrambled eggs, freshly squeezed orange juice, lovely coffee. Very pleasant service. Staying here was great and very reasonablly priced.
Cons: Our only grumble was about the pillow on bed....it was a bit too hard and big and cumbersome.

The Hostal El Pinar in North Galicia has rooms with free Wi-Fi and plasma-screen TVs. It is next to the A-8 motorway, 1 km from the town of Ribadeo, and 1 km from the beach. All of the rooms have private bathrooms and heating. Some rooms have bare brick walls and views of the gardens. The El Pinar guesthouse has large gardens with barbecue facilities and a children’s play area. It can also rent bicycles. The As Catedrais blue-flag beach, declared an area of natural interest, is just a few minutes’ drive away. The border with Asturias is just 2 km away.

Pros: Basic comfort for the good price. This place had the lowest cost during our one week trip in the north of Spain. Close by car to the greatest beach of Cathedrales (be careful you need to reserve in advance online to be able to go to this beach now). Nice restaurant in front of the hotel.
Cons: Looking at the map we did not realize that it's actually a motel on quite a big road. With no safe crossing to the restaurant. But overall OK.

Pros: This was an overnight stay on our way elsewhere and it perfectly matched our needs, with a very helpful team, and breakfast (extra) which enabled us to fill up happily before we continued our journey. Would I stay here longer? Yep, why not. My tastes are fairly simple, and this place met and exceeded them.
Cons: There's no parking site, so we had to go hunting, but it wasn't that big a deal.

Pros: Nice comfy hotel after a long day of walking the Camino. The room was quite big and beds comfortable. All things worked well including the Wifi and Hot Water. I liked the fact that it had its own bar so we were able to get coffee early in the morning. There is a Parilla restaurant over the road and a sports shop just round the corner which was really handy as I had been searching for a while to buy new hiking socks.
Cons: It's about a 15 minute walk to the centre of town but that was ok for us.

Pros: From the first moment we arrived we were treated in a friendly and pleasant manner by the owner and staff. The hotel is absolutely first class, from the very comfortable room to the excellent décor throughout the entire establishment. The walk into town could not be easier, 5 minuets tops, even with my knee replacement op. The breakfast is also excellent. Cooked eggs and bacon or omelettes, boiled or cereals, fruit juice and traditional cake. Tea or coffee. If ever we are in or near Ribadeo again we will not hesitate to book this beautiful hotel again. I, as a seasoned traveller have stayed in many different hotels, Cabazo is amongst the very best if not THE best.
Cons: I defy anybody to find fault with this hotel.

Pros: Wow. Wow. Attention to detail at every turn. Gorgeous property combined with top of the line service. We stayed at a brand now room, very tastefully done. A true gem. Jean Carlo and Mila were absolutely outstanding showing us the property, preparing a lovely breakfast for guests, and giving us passes and tips for visiting Playa as Catedrais, which is just 5 minute drive away. Great stay!

Pros: Spacious room with great storage. Maybe a few more hangers would be nice...bathroom was excellent, strong shower and good counter space. Great WiFi and easy parking. Breakfast simple but high quality and offering plenty of coffee. Hotel had easy access to several picturesque beaches and to the town of Ribadeo. Staff friendly and very helpful.
Cons: Did not like the fragrance of the toiletries provided but appreciated them being there.

Cons: Outside of town and on the main road, we stayed in one of the rooms with a terrace. A beautiful well presented room. Great location being only a few minutes from the beautiful beaches. Breakfast was good, although maybe too many cakes for some. Parking and many restaurants in the town and nearby. Hosts are very helpful.

The Hostal El Pinar in North Galicia has rooms with free Wi-Fi and plasma-screen TVs. It is next to the A-8 motorway, 1 km from the town of Ribadeo, and 1 km from the beach. All of the rooms have private bathrooms and heating. Some rooms have bare brick walls and views of the gardens. The El Pinar guesthouse has large gardens with barbecue facilities and a children’s play area. It can also rent bicycles. The As Catedrais blue-flag beach, declared an area of natural interest, is just a few minutes’ drive away. The border with Asturias is just 2 km away.

Pros: Basic comfort for the good price. This place had the lowest cost during our one week trip in the north of Spain. Close by car to the greatest beach of Cathedrales (be careful you need to reserve in advance online to be able to go to this beach now). Nice restaurant in front of the hotel.
Cons: Looking at the map we did not realize that it's actually a motel on quite a big road. With no safe crossing to the restaurant. But overall OK.

Pros: Very friendly owner who was keen to explain everything and show us places to visit. Also helped with taxis. Room was very good size and very comfortable with good bathroom. Breakfast provided was ample and owner was happy to tip up coffee juice toast etc. Early start accommodated with breakfast put out (included hot drinks in individual thermos flasks) all round excellent. Good location for all facilities and quiet.

Pros: Even though they spoke no English and I spoke no Spanish they bent over backwards to make sure that I saw what was worth seeing. The owner recommended a good restaurant where English was spoken and I had an excellent reasonably priced meal. Next day when I came back front seeing the sights I had a beer in the bar and the owner made me some tapas and poured me a second beer on the house. I was sorry to leave.
Cons: Everything was to my liking.
