This beautiful city and former Roman port is the gateway to Turkey’s Turquoise Coast. It’s known for its stunningly clear waters and dramatic coastline, made up of mountains and historical ruins. Hardly surprising, then, that it’s one of the most popular holiday spots in Turkey, and one of my personal favourites, as an expat living in Turkey for over five years. From resort-style complexes for all ages to an exclusive adults-only property perched on the edge of a private beach, you’ll find great hotels for families, romantic couples, and business travellers alike. When it comes to choosing the best hotels in Antalya, cast your search wide; you’ll find accommodations within the old town centre, as well as beachfront spots on either side of the harbour. Here’s my pick of the best places to stay in Antalya.

Nestled on the cliffs overlooking the sea, Akra Antalya is one of the best hotels in Antalya if you’re looking to stay right on the water.

The hotel has some of my favourite swimming spots in the area, thanks to its private platform beach on the sea, where you can enjoy uninterrupted views across the mountains. You’ll also find six heated pools, which are one of the highlights of a stay here, with infinity edges looking across the sea to the Bey Mountains.

Each of the rooms comes with a sea view and private balcony, while the Ocean Suite features an indoor hot tub, spacious living areas, and a king bed backed by edgy artworks on the wall. Add in complimentary bike rental, tennis courts, beach volleyball, an indoor gym, and a spa centre, and this is one of the best fancy hotels in Antalya.

For an intimate, romantic getaway, I always recommend Perge Hotels, an adults-only property built into the rocky cliffs on the coast. Located just a short walk from Mermerli Beach, it has a private deck over the ocean, where you can relax with incredible views without the usual crowds you find on most Antalya beaches.

The stunning rooms and suites, decorated in beachy hues with soft timbers, blues, and statement decor pieces, provide a welcome retreat for couples. Meanwhile, penthouse suites offer even more space as well as a bathtub facing the ocean.

Start your day with a buffet breakfast and end it with a meal at the on-site restaurant, Lanthe, which serves fresh Mediterranean dishes to tables that overlook the sea through floor-to-ceiling windows. As one of the best luxury hotels in Antalya, it also has a wellness centre offering massages, facials, and body scrubs.

Enjoy the charm of Antalya’s Old Town with a stay at Minyon Hotel, one of the best boutique hotels in Antalya. Housed inside Baltaci Mansion, originally built in the 18th century, I can’t get enough of its historic character and traditional Turkish architecture, with floor mosaics, exposed stone walls, and cedar ceilings.

The hotel has 19 uniquely decorated rooms, from more simple double rooms to deluxe suites offering balconies with sea views. Within the courtyard, relax in the outdoor pool surrounded by traditional floor mosaics and sun loungers – a great way to unwind after a day exploring the old town.

Guests enjoy a complimentary breakfast of local dishes to set them up for a day of sightseeing. All the main attractions are on the hotel’s doorstep, making this one of the best hotels in Antalya for those looking to explore on foot and soak up the heritage of the city.

If you’re looking for a luxurious retreat away from the city, I’d recommend staying at the Lara Barut Collection.

The vast array of rooms and suites each come with a unique feature, including my favourite swim-up rooms, which offer direct access to the pool. Meanwhile, the Turkish Bath and hot tub suite has an outdoor hot tub. It’s no surprise this is one of the top-rated hotels in Antalya, with plenty of amenities including tennis courts, a gym, and mini-golf.

You don’t have to venture far for an eclectic dining scene, with more than a dozen restaurants and bars—like my favorite, the beachside Pavillion Bar, serving tropical cocktails— to choose from and an on-site nightclub featuring live music events in the evening. The kids aren’t forgotten either, with a special kids’ club available to keep them entertained throughout your stay.

Located on the seafront of Lara Beach, Concorde De Luxe Resort is a unique hotel that was inspired by the famous Concorde jet plane. Featuring an original architectural design, the interior is just as glossy, with brightly-lit lounges, panoramic sea views from the windows, and comfortable guestrooms.

In my opinion, it’s the amenities that make this one of the best hotels in Antalya. With access to a private beach and flood-lit tennis courts, you’re likely to spend most of your time outdoors. The elegantly landscaped pool area is the ideal place for the whole family to relax, with waterslides and sun loungers underneath the palm trees.

The dining options don’t disappoint either, with seven on-site restaurants and bars, including the Italian-inspired Da Vinci Restaurant and my favourite hangout, the atmospheric Havana Bar, which serves elevated cocktails and top-shelf spirits.

Elevate your beachfront holiday with a stay at one of the best hotels in Antalya. The Pearly Hotel is located just steps from Konyaalti Beach and the beach vibes are strong here, with sea views from all the rooms. I particularly like the coastal-inspired decor, from palm prints to wave patterns in soft shades of blue.

I always book a corner room, which offers 180-degree sea views and a private balcony, with an upgrade option including a hot tub in front of a carved glass window. The on-site restaurant, Riviera Costa, serves up traditional Turkish flavours with a Mediterranean twist, while the buffet breakfast has options for everyone. If you prefer to relax in solitude, Le Spa Beauty can transform you with a range of treatments and wellness rituals.

While it’s not in the city centre, this is one of the best hotels in Antalya to unwind right by the beach.

Located right on Konyaaltı Beach, this is one of the best hotels in Antalya for those looking for an amenities-rich resort for the whole family.

Each of the rooms at Porto Bello Resort and Spa has a balcony for admiring the views, with options ranging from singles up to family rooms. The long outdoor swimming pool is not to be missed, and is where I end up most of the time: lined with sun loungers, it has a twirling waterslide for kids too.

Dining options are plentiful, with six restaurants and bars offering both indoor and outdoor dining. Take the whole family to Ana Restaurant, which serves a variety of international cuisines in a buffet setting that will please any member of the family, or head to the Disco Bar for a late-night drink and dance. Elsewhere, you’ll find a modern gym, spa, tennis courts, yoga classes, and a kids’ club.

Located within walking distance of Antalya’s old quarter, the beautiful Prime Boutique Hotel is one of the best hotels to stay in Antalya. I particularly love how close it is to the city’s many historical attractions – it’s a delightfully luxurious spot to retreat to after a day of exploring.

The spacious rooms are decorated in a slightly more old-world style, with Turkish rugs, draped curtains, and dark timber furniture. For relaxation, the pool is surrounded by curved loungers under the shade, or head indoors to experience a traditional hammam at the hotel’s spa.

Every meal is taken care of at the Terrace Lounge Restaurant, which offers views of the Mediterranean Sea and has a variety of cuisines on the menu. Bike and car hire can easily be arranged for guests, meaning you can explore the surrounding region with ease.

For one of the most unique hotels in Antalya, head to Tuvana Hotel. Located at the doorstep of Hadrian’s Gate in the heart of the historic centre, this charming property is housed in several revitalized 18th-century landmark mansions.

I cannot get enough of the hotel’s traditional style, with old stone walls, exposed timber ceilings, and colourful lanterns. The beautiful courtyard features a cosy wood fire and lush plants, with outdoor seating for drinking and dining at the on-site restaurant, which serves both Turkish and international cuisine from breakfast through to dinner.

The hotel’s garden features an outdoor pool, floored with handmade natural stone mosaics and surrounded by palms to relax under. For those looking for something a little different, this is one of the best hotels in Antalya for soaking up the old town’s architecture.

Just a 15-minute walk from Lara Beach, Holiday Inn is one of the best hotels in Antalya for a beachside retreat. Located outside the bustling city centre, it allows for a more peaceful stay, yet you can still reach the old town of Antalya within 30 minutes by car.

There are plenty of rooms and suites to choose from, each with a private balcony and views of the Mediterranean Sea. Amenities are aimed at business travellers, with meeting spaces, a spacious conference room, and shared desks in the lobby area, which I take advantage of during work-play holidays.

For relaxation, the elevated outdoor pool has a surrounding deck area for lounging in the sun with a book or enjoying a drink poolside. This is also one of the best hotels in Antalya for families, as kids stay and eat for free when sharing their parents' room.
