Comfortable bed. Convenient location off route 81. Quiet room on bottom floor.
The bedsheets had some worn out thin spots that looked like maybe caused by a splash of bleach or something. They were clean though. The air conditioning was not turned on before we entered the room and since the outside temperature had been in the 90s all week, it took a while for the room to cool down after we turned it on. The smoke detector woke us up at 1:00 am with a chirping sound indicating low battery. I checked and saw that it was hardwired but couldn’t find a battery to replace. The toilet had a dark grey ring around the water in the bowl as though it hadn’t been cleaned in a while. The shower head (this was in an ADA accessible room) was mounted to provide the option to use the shower hand-held. Only problem was the shower head was fixed at a point about 5 feet high and pointing straight down, so it required the holding of the shower head to get your head wet. I mentioned the detector beeping to the manager, who was very cheerful and pleasant, and she explained no one had stayed in that room for a long time so the battery must have been running low.
Staff was very friendly. Location was very convenient.
Access to upper floors is by stairs only. My adult child has problems walking long distances, which includes climbing stairs. If we wanted to change our room to one on the main floor, that would have meant paying more for that. That was an unpleasant surprise. Also, the breakfast is nothing great, (there are, better options nearby though).
