Amazing staff, amazing service, amazing room. We loved it they couldn’t do more for us.
Staff & location
Quality if product - 5 star hotel was at best 3 stars. Everything was dated / old. Not selecting this hotel again.
Location and staff were excellent. Love the decor, nice traditional feel when every other hotel trying to be modern or contemporary.
The room location and view. The value would be better if the room were priced lower to reflect the room location.
grand old hotel, with wonderfully decorated lobby. nice large rooms.
rooms are a a bit Spartan. room was not ready or fully cleaned on arrival. long waits for valet parking. prices are very high
The room was huge, clean, beautiful.
I would have liked some instruction on how to use the hotel Wifi
Luxurious surroundings and a historic San Francisco location. Quiet rooms and very friendly staff. The Tonga Room on-site is great, the room service food was good, and the gym looked nice.
The pillows were incredibly uncomfortable. I had to abandon them halfway through the night and just sleep without. I also noticed a lack of the sort of amenities one might expect in a luxury hotel of this caliber—no bathrobes, WiFi was an extra charge, etc. Hard not to feel a little nickel-and-dimed which didn’t seem in keeping with the luxury atmosphere.
Grand, historic, luxurious
I could hear everything from my room. Housekeeping, doors slamming, neighbors... I also think free wifi at hotels should be standard at this point - as it is at most hotels.
Wonderful Hotel.... so much history and elegance!
Hotel employees treat you like royalty. Beautiful details all over the hotel. Classic history all over! Every president over the past 120 years has stayed at the hotel! First Fairmont Hotel in the world, sets the standard for all Fairmont hotels!
VERY expensive parking. The hotel contracts with a parking service and valet is the only option. Prepare to spend over $70 a night to park at the hotel, but this is the only option unless you want to walk miles and miles.
Location and setting
Service was awful - restaurant had several issues.
The staff, rooms, comfy not over the top stuffy
Beautiful hotel, great service. Staff very helpful, especially Scott at front desk
Comfortable beds. Great location. Nice staff. Beautiful decor.
Poor soundproofing- we could hear everything next door. $65 parking and $14 wifi. "Courtyard view" misrepresents the huge noisy cooling type towers. Breakfast was 1 1/2 hour late. Dinner in the restaurant was loud and only mediocre.
The Fairmont sf is a beautiful hotel, full of kindness, care, luxury, and history. It has that special, European, feeling.
$8.00 for bottled water. :/
From the moment we arrived and entered the stunning lobby the service from the staff was above excellent. The hotel was situated at the top of Nob Hill where all the cable car routes intersect so it was so easy to jump on and off the cable cars to get around.
was great hotel, historic, beautiful, fantastic views, best Location in San Francisco
no coffee maker in rooms
Service, room size, location
The rooms where too hot and couldn't control the temperature
the fantastic view over the San Francisco Bay
I had to be moved rooms 3 times to get a room that suited
The public areas are beautiful. The bathroom is fantastic, and the rooms are comfortable.
Maid missed picking up some trash now and then. Food options limited. The Laurel room bar has a tv, which really ruins the ambiance. I booked main hotel and got tower which lacks the style of the main building. I do not believe in charging an additional fee for WiFi at a luxury hotel.
This hotel is "top drawer" all the way!
hotel interior, location and very friendly staff
Staff, cleanliness, bed, space, decor
Single windows. Double windows would be more appropriate if not to reduce energy use, but particularly to cut efficiently the outside noise.
Location excellent for city hotel. Staff very helpful and room excellent.
